"Bhaag Avni Bhaag".Even after 13 years of her life after that eventful sports day she could remember her mother's voice which was to encourage her to win the race.SHe had won the race but what she had lost was her father that day.Winning the race was less important but winning it front of him had been more important but alas it alwys remained a dream her grand mother ensured it remained a dream.Avni came out of her dream world when she heard her best friend's voice.
Adarsh-Avni kisi din toh mujhe jeetne de yaar.
Avni-(smiling) Arre slow tum dodo aur bol mujhe rahe ho ki mai fast dodti hu.Strange.
Adarsh-Tum lawyers se na koi nahi jeet sakta.You guys are impossible.
Avni-You tell this to aunty.I am sure she would be glad considering she is the top lawyer of this country aur unka ka khud ka beta itni tareef karta hai lawyers ki.
Adarsh-Yes she knows.Seriously both of you are too alike.So how is that case coming along ? The rape case I heard Mom talking about it.
Avni-It is going ok I guess.No rape case can ever be anything but dirty.It makes you feel that you are rather in good place than those girls seriously.
Adarsh-Avni mai jaanta hu tu jhansi ki rani hai but please be careful.The man you are up against woh gunda hai.Did you take the police protection ?
Avni (Pouting)-Yes Mam told me jab tak mai police protection nahi lugi tab taak woh mujhe case nahi degi so...it's a deal between us.Aur waise bhi agar mai kisi problem mei pad gayi toh tum ho na Mr Robinhood.Do you notice ki mai jab kabhi bhi problem mai hoti hu you are always ther to save me ?
Adarsh-Is that the reason you call me Robinhood ??
Avni-What do you think ?? Ofcourse yes.
Adarsh-(Looking at her seriously)This time it's not joke Avni.Please be careful.Aapne liye nahi toh Asha aunty ke liye he sahi.She gets completely scared if something happens to you.Aur mei toh hamesha hu tujhe bachane ke liye.Just a phone call away for you.
Avni-(Sadly)Pata hai mujhe itne saalo ye pata chal gaya hai ki kon help ke liye hota hai aur kon nahi.
Adarsh-(Distracting her) Avni come on ek aur race ho jaye.Is baar I will surely defeat you.
Avni-Sapne dekhna thodi na mana hai !!
This is how her day started.A best start to her day would be with her best friend Adarsh.She had known Adarsh since the day she had started school in Delhi.Like in Mumbai there was Tia here too in school there was a boy who asked where was Avni father and Avni's face mellowed down like a full lighted candle.Adarsh saw that boy bullying me and that's it he warned that boy never to question me again.Thats how we became friends.Nobody dared to ask me a question.And it's after that when Ma came to know that Adarsh was her childhood friend Gauri's son.Gauri Deshmukh was a top most lawyer.Nobody questioned her instincts.She was the authority.Avni had insisted when she had took up Law that Gauri would hire her when Gauri would feel so as Avni did not want obligations.Hre first case had been a land case against powerful construction company owner.It was difficult but Avni had managed to win it ofcourse with Gauri's guidance.That's when Gauri Deshmukh had decided that she would hire Avni.Avni and Asha had a small family in form of Manav,Gauri and Adarsh.Avni's social cirlce had developed as well since she worked in such a high firm.Things had improved for Avni and Asha on financial front as well.Asha had started as college professor and now was the Principal of one of the best colleges of Delhi.Nannu had passed away 4 years ago.Avni entered a posh South Delhi locality house where Asha was waiting for her daughter.
Asha-Kaha chali jaati hai tu subah subah ??
Avni-(Hugging her )Ma aapko pata hai na Adarsh ke saath jogging ke liye gayi thi.Accha meri chai kaha hai ?
Asha-Kitchen mai hai.Kitni chai peti hai tu AVni.And let me guess raat ko kitne ghante soi hai tu ??
Avni-Ma aapko pata hai na 2-3 dino mei ek case ka hearing hai.I am just making preparation.Raat mai der ha jaati hai kabhi kabhi.it's work.Aur rahi baat is kambakhat chai ki toh mujhe toh ye bhi nahi pata ke ya Gud wali chai peene ki aadat kise hai ? You don't even like tea.
Asha very well knew whose habit she had taken after.Aashish loved tea and that too not the one with sugar but with Jaggery.But Asha never told this to Avni otherwise she would leave her Tea as well.She always prayed that God take away her daughter's pain.She always wished to have somebody for Avni who could take away her pain completely and put fresh memories in it.Avni had changed after growing up.She had became more mature too mature sometimes.She had always wroked so hard to come up where she was today.
Avni-Ma kis duniya mai ho aap.I am going to go and get ready I have to go to office.
Asha-Ha Ok.
Avni-Ma ye newspaper kisne yaha rakha.Please tell the domestic help ki upar rakh...
Asha-Kya kua Avni.Ruk kyu gayi.Kya hai newspaper mai aisa.
Avni-(Angrily)Nothing newspaper ko recycle bin mei daal dena.Wahi sahi jagah hai iski.
Asha-Achanak kya hua tujhe ? La de mujhe
Asha suddenely saw the paper.It had headlined of Aashish's upcoming film.Avni hated movies.She never watched any.Especially Aashish's film.Once upon a time she was proud of her father but now she could not even see his face.Asha thought about Avni love and respect for her father before all the fiasco happened.Asha had tried to make Avni understand that maybe it was her mistake as well to whcih Avni had aptly responded that it was Aashaish who had hidden about the relationship from his mother and it was his mother who had destroyed it all.
Avni-Ma kya dekh rahi hai tu newspaper mai ? I told you throw it in the bin.
Asha-Avni kab tak itni nafrat karege.Papa hai woh tere aur Dadi hai woh.
Avni (Angrily)-Aur maine bhi kaha hai.Woh mere papa nahi.Mere peeche meri maa ka naam lagta hai.Jab unka tumse koi rishta nahi toh mai unki beti kaise hui ? Aur waise bhi yahi chati thi na unki ma ? Ki woh mujhe na aapnaye ? Toh woh meri dadi kaha se hui ? Woh mere liye sirf woh Dayaben Mehta hai jisne meri Ma par itni se bhi Daya nahi dikhai.Mera koi Naamkaraan nahi hua hai.Mei sirf aur Aur sirf Avni hu.I am going to go to office.
Asha-Nashta Avni !!
Avni-Mujhe bhook nahi hai.Just leave it.
Asha just looked at the paper and prayed to god to set Avni's life in order.She could not possibly live like this.It would destroy her.Asha and Aashaish relationship had destroyed their daughter more than anybody else.
