I've only watched the pilot episode. I don't understand how Ashish has been able to live a lie for all these years convincingly? Surely the grapevine must have reached his mom, one way or the other? That aspect of the narrative looked contrived to me. What exactly is Asha's vocation and was she an orphan when they'd met in Kashmir? Is that why it feels like she's totally dependent on the love she harbors for Ashish to sail through a life riddled with social stigma?
All those pressing questions aside, loved the chemistry between Viraf and Barkha. The little kid was awesome especially in the parting shot where she lets her mom sleep on her lap while her eyes are welled with tears..truly touching.👏

actually i just made a post about that.
well as a son he was doing his duty toward his mom but as lover he was not fair to his girl
if he claimed to love her so much he should have let her go and not ruin her life
didn't marry her and dared to have 2 kids with her.
yaa mother matters but when its about ruining the one we love.. that's really unfair. he is being selfish
ek taraf mama chahiye
aik taraf love chahiye
love ne uske liye sub chora , even apna religion hide kiya , yeh aab kuch kar nai paega aur shadi karega kisi aur se. isne to apne love se uska religion china per us se shadi nai kar sakta. sad thing selfish man 🤓

I had a high hope after watching of Namakarann's promo The serial was directed by Well- known director Mahesh Bhatt.
After watching two episodes I was little disappointed there is nothing much to write about
Serial only saving grace was excellent acting by Arsheen Namdar as Avni

Good point - why gossip mongers have not yet got the news to his mom. I think the answer too was in the 1st episode. Asha has been moving residences so that their secret is not out to the public. Ashish has been bribing people to keep their mouth shut. He parks his car far away and walks the rest of the distance to Asha and Avni's house. Ashudi is also called Asha - we do not know what her real name is - on Ashish's mobile her number is stored as Ashudi.

We do not know anything about Ashudi's background - other than that she is a closet muslim and that Ashsish and Ashudi (Ash-Ash) met in Kashmir. You are correct she is totally willing to live with the social stigma - as long as she can continue meeting with her director sahib. Her dependency is typical of (Indian) women who choose such a life style - irrespective of what professional role they may hold in society.

Ashish and his family are a delight to watch - no doubt about it!!

Thank you Ronshaan! 😊

Yep Ashish has contradictory choices. His sense of personal autonomy is very complicated. His authenticity too is contradictory.

He perhaps was sincere in the first step - falling in love. Following that a series of steps or some would say missteps have made him live a life that is contradictory to his principles, values, and beliefs.

Anasuya - what we are watching this first few weeks is just the foundation of the story. The main track is yet to begin.

By the way did you watch today's episode - the father of the lead actor in service wali bahu is Hemant Bhai. 😊

May be, you are correct ...anonee
I like Mahesh Bhatt movies as he is directing first time Hindi serial.
It may take few episodes for him to warm up.

ya anonee
sometimes people don't want to lose the one they love but they forget that they are the one to ruin the one they love.
