TRPs did not drop. It did not change but viewership plunged drastically, which I think happened b/c of the movie promo. However, I think it is fishy how quickly they wrapped up the track.

new montage has only rivanya so looks they thought nevla story is not trp gainer

track ended due to CGM comitmentt of rajat ...believe it or not but ph misleaded the viewers with nevla track...it was not for 8 episodes it was only for 2,3 episodes ...the rest only ph know..

comepletely agreee with you sun29 and sp108 RAJATS ACTING WAS THE ONLY REASON WHICH MADE ME WATCH THIS TRACK AND INFACT THIS SHOW😆 and no doubt he did a phenomenal and fantastic job as nevla..he is one of the rare talents..his acting was the only thing wrth watching in this track.AND SPEAKING ABOUT SBS,well they r no jury members of OSCARS or FILMFARES that their views about rajats acting skills would matter..they have always insulted rajat n nothings new in that now..but sbs is not wrth to be given imprtance..the entire tv industry know about the acting skills of rajattokas.. His awards and hus popularity speaks..lol...so sbs ka opinion about his acting can go doqn the drain..

They are facing stiff competition from SKR on Star. It airs on Saturdays too at 8pm. Also they had Mahaepisode twice in January. Ram-Sita Swayamwar has been well promoted and well shot. And mostly people know Ramayan so catching up with the characters is not tedious. For all you know, when the actual Vivah Mahotsav is aired, it might further cut into Naagin's TRPs. And btw, I think TRPs are counted in the first 10 mins or so of air time.

SKR airs only on Sat, and SKR reached in top10 only after leap bt nvr in top 5, only during Sita Swayamvara, the show reached top 5, bt it didn't effect Naagin's viewership at all, this was first tym viewership dropped nd its nt coz of SKR bt movie promotional and adding extra track which was completly misfit and didn't mk any sense..
the irony is people keep wanting our show's downfall nd that's wht keep our show in top position

very well positive post ...now the trp blame is given to nevla n movie promotion ...let's c when trp will further decrease who Is going to b blame...now naagin is back to its old story

this debate can go on forever and I don't want to sound mean but two things first

first letter the trp drop, that tym we can discuss, as of nw lets nt dream abt it, till date Naagin's highest trp was 5.9.. 1st Week of 2016. and i would request you to check the episodes which gt the highest trp, Rivanya romance and the Devdi Raaz, even in week 2 inpite of 1 episode viewership didn't drop it was only last week there was such a huge drop,

1) Rajat tokas is a great actor but let's not give the nevla track too much credit.

2) Rivanya romance may be cliched but it did garner a fan following and ratings. even Arjun said that we are seeing a lot of romance because audience loves it. love stories on indian television always work as long it is done right, and in this case, it was.

Trp's are always unstable, but naagin is constistently number 1 so I don't think makers are complaining and neither are we worried. most just wanted to know why viewership plunged so much. makers thought the maa kali track will garner more TRP's but it did not. However, the next episodes, which had plenty of romance, intrigue and the original story helped ratings rise.

everyone can agree that naagin is at top form when the focus on the main story line, and not cameos or extra characters.

of course the movie promotion played a part in the viewers drop, first because it does not fit in a show like naagin and plus they were promoting a bakwas movie with flop "stars"

Not only Arjun, even Mouni said it, keeping the actors aside, numerous articles stated the same thing people love watching Rivanya's love-story doesn't matter how cliched it is, there was even an article stating that people love watching their chemistry that their love - story gt extended..
