Sunday's episode was focused entirely on the havan, it was a typical over the top and meant for a certain type of audience. However, Lavina Tandon as maa kali was good, I liked that they actually painted her black; it made her look even more convincing. The scene where maa kali enters the girl was over the top but I think the idea behind it was good.
Anyways, I did not make this post to talk about the episode but about Shesha and Shivanya's bond. The dynamic between the two naagin's is starting to become one of the most fascinating aspects of this show, and creatives purposely kept shesha's character under wraps to heighten the mystery. So this begs the question, are they related somehow? I don't think so. My guess, Shesha played an instrumental role in preparing shivanya for revenge. In a way, shesha is her shield but she also gave her the weapons to fight (figuratively speaking.) Their thirst for revenge is what binds them together but it is not a partnership of convenience. Rather, they genuinely care for one another which could not be more obvious in yesterday's episode. Shivanya cried beside her severed head, and asked her to not leave her while Shesha told her to save herself instead. I think both met when shivanya was very young, perhaps soon after her parents death. Naturally, if you know someone since she was a child then that bond will be even more special. In return, young shivanya found a companion and guide in the form of Shesha. Hence, they forged a strong connection. Now if shesha does try to harm rithik in the future, then it will be to save shivanya because if a naagin falls in love with a human, it leads to their destruction. We have already seen that Shesha is ruthless but she knows how to get the job done, and she won't let any harm come to her friend.
I love the way their relationship is going, and I know they may be driven apart but I hope they won't become enemies. Friends and sisters bicker and fight all the time, but it never pulls them apart forever, they always hug and make up. Rumors of a possible love triangle are annoying and I think we should stop making assumptions unless more credible news arrives. I know this is a serial, that too a Balaji one, but it will be so disappointing if ekta uses the same trope from all her shows, especially when the Sesha-shivanya dynamic has the potential to be something greater.
