Hi everyone, how are you?
Yesterday's episode was paisa vasool. I was entertained from the beginning to the end, yes even the Balaji style family melodrama was entertaining.
Everyone knows that I was completely against the bride swap but after watching the episode, I came to the conclusion that CV's have made it as painless as possible. It could have been much, much worse. Poor Rithik looked like he was walking to the gallows during the wedding proceedings, so his utter disbelief was worth watching when he lifted the veil. He even put sindoor on her Maang and mangalsutra around her neck without asking any further questions, because this is so much better than marrying that rotten Tanvi.
Anyone else laughed when Ramya and Yamini were fighting over the mangalsutra? Then Yamini screamed at her to let it go, I couldn't stop laughing.🤣 Yamini is a piece of work for sure; no wonder Ankush keeps his mouth shut whenever she is ranting. How easily she starts her emotional melodrama whenever someone does not agree with her, if she does have an ulterior motive then I bet she has been playing mind games using emotional blackmail as her main weapon for years. In addition, one moment she does not trust Shivanya and in the next second, she does because her kundali matches with Rithik- seriously Yamini? You have lost it.
Now getting to the most important part of the episode: Rithik and Shivanya😳 Oh my god you guys, they are so cute and what do I say about rithik? I don't have enough words to describe what an amazing guy he is. His childish antics are so adorable, but beyond that, he is a mature and well sorted guy. He gave Shivanya the option to leave because even though he likes (loves?) her, it does not give him the right to tie her down to an unhappy relationship. He likes her so he is happy to have her in his life only as a friend but is mature enough to let her go if that is what she desires. What I liked even more was that he did not tell her about his feelings like some of the OLV's and promo's suggested, because again, he did not want shivanya to feel even more bound than she already is. In a way, the situation was similar to the one between him and Tanvi but clearly, he handled it way better than she ever could. Considering how awkward the situation is, it looked as if a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulder, he was just so carefree and...happy.
I know I never leave an opportunity to criticize Ekta kapoor and her team of writers but even then, I think they have the ability to write amazing male characters. In some of their shows, their male leads shine more than the females. Before they massacred Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Raman Bhalla was an outstanding character, I believe the male lead's character from Ekta's other show, Pyar ko ho Jaane do is being liked by everyone and now we have Rithik, who is a gem of a person. He can be serious when he wants to be but there is a childish side to him as well; his snake dance was so cute, shivanya actually looked offended but even she could not help but laugh, it was that cute!😳 Writers have made him into such a well-rounded Character, and arjun adds so much charm and now my heart hurts thinking about the bomb that will drop on him in the future.
Rivanya Secretly looking at each other while pretending to sleep was the cutest thing ever, and I think he was trying to copy shivanya with the one eyed staring lol. What an adorable pair they make, all thanks to Ekta, Mouni and Arjun.
Nice to see sesha back, honestly the show is nothing without her. Hopefully with tanvi's return and entry of a new villain, they won't completely sideline her. I really don't like how writers are treating her character these days and I hope she does more than just talk about revenge. However, she looked beautiful while talking in front of the moon but seriously Ekta, give her a new outfit already.
I can't conclude this post without mentioning how gorgeous Shivanya looked as a bride, her smile was even more beautiful and rithik looked awestruck by it every time. Major props to the costume department for making them look so good as bride and groom and colour coordinating them was a great idea as it really highlighted how good they look together.
That is it for now, I tried to keep it short but since episode was so good, that I got a little carried away.
