Exactly she is also no saint.

But they are glorifying it as romantic. Which is wrong.

Veer is not this. He cried for a girl who was cheating on his friend. And even said he would kill his brothers if they were the one who killed her.

Two wrongs never make right. If Bani is doing wrong, then she is also wrong.

I honesty don't know why this downgrade ?

I was never interested in the obsessive lover storylines , I find it pretty annoying that a guy constantly tells you how you feel , how he's the one you love etc. I don't find it romantic even a bit. But nevertheless I was searching for some sort of redeeming qualities in Veer , trying to give a chance to veer & bani because of the franchise alone but THIS is where I draw the line.

I don't think I'll be continuing anymore from now on. I just find it weird how this season is normalising such stuffs. Even in S4 the cousins and their vulgar jokes were unnecessary.

This season the male lead is this obsessive freak. Shayad the next season the female lead will inherit the traits.

Bani does not hate him without any reason. She believes Veer killed her best friend, Noor. She loved Noor a lot! Of course, Veer didn't kill Noor, but she believes that.

Much needed post. TV shows in general need to stop glorifying sexual harassment even if it's by Veer/male lead. Who is my also most favourite character in this show. This was wrong and totally wrong. Even in starting epis, when veer did that drama, he didn't cross limit. That was to save his friend. And that girl had cheated on her would be husband that too a day before. That time also he did say he will show photos but he didn't. I think he was only warning her that if she don't tell truth then he has proofs.

What's wrong is wrong.

I didn't even like it when he humiliated Noor in front of so many people. Of course, she was wrong. But it does not mean one can insult a girl that. He also didn't feel hesitated to have sex with Noor even though he knew she was his friend's would be wife. But he tried to prove that only she was wrong. Still I liked Sharad Malhotra's performance and liked Veer's recklessness and attitude. But today's scenes were unneccessary.

I don't have any problem with an obssessed lover until he crosses his limit and makes his beloved's life hell. An obsessed male lead should have some redeeming qualities so that the viewers can like him. I don't expect Veer to be as sweet as Mahir. That's not his character. Also, he is an eagle unlike Mahir. Therefore, I can accept his recklessness, mannerless behaviour, overconfidence, etc. I like the fact this shape-shifting eagle is a grey character. But I can't support what he did today.

Good post for good reason👏

I dont understand how ppl justify his behaviour juz bcoz bani is wrong.

Even no one (except one) talked abt noor' humiliation done by him publicly

And please dont justify his actions with bani's action. If one does wrong it should be redeemed by them only. Automatically It wont get converted into right bcoz other one also wrong... so it is even

I will defo understand you If you say *he is flawed and i accept he is wrong and i'm waiting to see his redemption* bcoz i know these are fictional characters

But if you blindly support wrongs then i dont know what to say.

That time he had no option I guess (it was his last chance to save his friend and open his eyes) , so it may be let go off. He knew about Noor and warned his friend but his friend was blind in love (he mentioned it). He never saw her as his friend's would be wife because he knew she was not in love with his friend and plus he knew how she was.

It's not about humiliating girl, for him it was about saving his friend. What she did was also equally wrong and disgusting. Cheating on her would be husband with who so ever, that too a day before marriage. And then she also was playing victim card in front of Bani. Telling bani she is marrying for her parents. She also was portraying herself as saint.

Veer atleast said he has fun ( obviously with consent).

But yes, if you literally see it scene wise and not seeing back story, then Veer was equally wrong. It's not man woman thing. They both cheated.

But again here veer is not in any sort of committed relationship, whereas the girl is legit going to get married. Also his intention was not to hurt/ cheat his friendship, but to save his friend from a girl who is not loyal. And he didn't have any "bhabhi/friend's wife " kind of respect for noor as he clearly knew her. That's why he had warned his friend before too.

But yes today, he was totally wrong. And the show literally showed him gropping Bani as romantic. Imagine some side male character doing same in name of one sided love??
