I think people are forgetting that N5 is reverse mode it focus where it first started even before N1 so yes there ought to be little villains as the clash is b/w the first aadhi naagin and cheels, N1 N2 N3 N4 is just additional N5 is where it all started and history being repeated so there are little villains at the moment

to many villains just take away the charm of the show like S2 and S3 i got an headache with too many villains that deprived from the main story

Agree I feel I am not watching naagin I have not seen sharad's other work but only he is watchable in the show.

N3 was the only other season I watched regularly due to SJ. The story was intriguing up until Vikrant and co track did a backflip. But some of your reasons why you are not feeling it are EXACTLY why I am feeling it this season. Especially the point about a large family (which imo there is to some extent - the entire cheel clan, Jai's fam and Bani's step family). Too many characters feel overcrowded and cluttered. As it is the entire cheel clan are all villians. Also, I feel like they generally have more characters just so they have extra people they can kill off in the name of revenge lol.

There is certainly a difference with other Naagin seasons here but that is why there is something interesting to watch too. I am especially here for the Naagin-Cheel love story though... despite not having much faith in Ekta given her track record in literally all her shows.

I felt like N3 had too many characters that started off with distinct personalities but a couple of episodes in and they were just mere props. Even Mahir's Dad and Step-Mom had such potential but they even ditched these characters toh baaki sab ki toh door ki baat hai.
