First of all, I don't know what to say about today's episode. It made me sick to the core.
I am a history fan and there have been multiple instances of the servants willingly sacrificing themselves for the king. Many have laid down their lives so that the king can survive and fight the battle some other day. Many have been taken prisoner while saving the king. Some did it for the king and land as patriots. Some did it as patriots and friends. Whatever the reason, history is a witness to many such examples.Jiva Mahala was a mere barber who offered to face Siddhi Jauhar as Shivaji Maharaj while he escaped Pahnala Fort. When Siddhi found that the one standing in front of him is an impostor, Jiva was unceremoniously killed. Jiva was a true patriot and he worshipped his king. While Shivaji Maharaj got a head start because of Jiva's sacrifice, it was not enough and soon Siddhi Jauhar's army was chasing him. At the Ghod Khind (Khind is a narrow mountain pass. This one is so narrow that even two horses will not pass each other) another loyal soldier Baji Prabhu Deshpande offered to engage the Jauhar's army of thousands with only a handful of soldiers of his own. He fought till he heard the cannon sound that signalled that his king had safely reached his destination. He and all of his soldiers lost their lives. They died willingly for their king.Similar is the tale of Tanaji. He was a childhood friend of Sivaji Maharaj's. He left his son's wedding and went to capture the fort of Kondana, never to return again. The fort was renamed Singhgad in his memory. He did it for his friend and his king.So if Mukta was trying to show a daasi sacrificing herself for her queen why did it have to be a sexual sacrifice? Why couldn't she have shown Vish fighting Hukum on Bella's behalf and getting injured in the process? Just because Bella is a woman and she has a womb, despite being a queen she has to fight the main villain for her dignity? She is a woman and so she will constantly fight off people trying to marry her and impregnate her.Why was Bella not shown fighting Hukum? Why did Hukum have to lust after Bella? If she is a queen, there are many more ways in which she could be defeated and humiliated. Why does she have to be raped? She is a warrior and for a warrior, there is no greater humiliation than facing defeat on a battlefield. So Bella can fight Hukum and it could be a fight of strength like it was between Jamini and Bella.Just because the opponent is a man, Bella can't fight with him blow to blow, punch to punch, like she fought with Jamini? He will have to lust after her and then she will have to save her dignity. Is this your concept of feminism Mukta? You had so much potential with this show. Bella as a glorious queen, fighting the evil forces, protecting her people. You could have written history for coming up with a character that was not shown as weak just because she is a girl. You could have shown Bella fighting Hukum punch for punch since she is superhuman just like him and hence they are at an equal level. Bella's strength could have been Hukum's weakness. It would have made for such an inspiring story. This story tells the young girls that they don't stand a chance. If they are to step out, they will have to keep their head down and their wombs safe. And on the other hand, she is showing Bella treating Mahir exactly like men have been treating women in all these years. Mahir should hug her when she asks him to. He should not question her follow her silently. She can pull him close whenever she wants but she will not confide in him. That is how men have treated women. Women were locked up in the forts while the men fought the glorious battles. She did the same with Mahir. He was kept locked while she went to get raped. Is Mukta trying to indicate that women should do what men did to them? They were kept out of intellectual stuff and politics for their "safety". So now that women have power, they should demean men, treat them like sex toys and sperm generating machines, fit for only donating sperms?I am sorry Mukta but I don't support this kind of feminism. We don't want to rule over the men, but we want to rule alongside them. We want to walk with them, not a step ahead and not a step behind. If you think we are going to applaud for showing such a feminist concept then, so sorry, but are a one confused woman.we need more stories that show men and women walking side by side, hand in hand. WI can't believe that a show produced by a woman, written and headed by a woman can show every other man trying to impregnate the FL while she is busy keeping her hubby out of the loop and treating him like a piece of shit.

I am just ashamed to think that I compared BeHir to Shiv-Parvati a few days ago.
I completely agree with you all.Ima I liked the way you compared Music and sound and silence. It was very apt and beautiful example.
