We can't fault Bela at all in that. She tried to keep him in as much loop as possible to her. Her only fault in that track was not giving it to Yuvi for his baby, baba nonsense... But they eventually salvaged the situation there.

Here, Mahir's character will go for a toss if the ML is real because he is not the kind of person who would ask random woman to accompany him to his room or get ready to marry Vish or MOST importantly, by now, Old Mahir Sehgal would've drilled EVERY single person in the house for truth.

He asks questions, cross checks them and reaches his own conclusions. He was smart, observant and most importantly very, very FAIR... He eventually hears everyone's version. Here he did not even ask Bela ANYTHING!

BUT, If he is faking ML. Then I am going to wait for his reasons. Because, whatever he is doing then will have a purpose and reason behind it.

Even though it might initially hurt Bela, eventually, he is doing it for her good, for a better purpose. He sat in mandap also because he set the chain of events for her to reach there, or he would have some other back up plan... mostly, he trusts her enough that he knows she would come.

My guess is he might now tell her truth in private and still play this ML game in front of Sumi n all... That would be awesome!!!

Also I feel even if he is faking the ML, inspite of that...he sat in the mandap thinking NO MATTER WHAT,Ye shaadi bela hone hi nahi degi...

On a serious note I feel we are a bit over thinking with what the cvs might show and so on, let's just go with the flow as we don't know when our show will breathe it's last.

They essentially gave Mahir biggest leverage by saying he got to know some big truth just before he lost memory. And THAT would be his reason to start this game. Because we all wondered why would Mahir fake it? He is confronting, straight-forward type, not someone who plays games. But if situation demands he will... Like how he Fake fought with Bela and put up that whole charade, when he is not someone who would do it otherwise. Mahir bada Mahir hi niklega, dekh lo!
