Mahir knew the myth...the current question should be why wasn't he even a little bit shocked seeing that , the stories he laughed at are true and part of his life...?

Remember once he joked that if anyone talks of naag naagin again, main newla bula lunga...

Yup. This was scene which mentioned he was aware of those myths but did not believe in them.

I think they've slowly built Mahir believing in "irregular" phenomenon ever since Bela entered his life. They way she saved both of them , then Anu ... He knew something strange has happened.

Then last few days he has seen Magics and illusions... Vikku transforming, Crown guiding him... He at least came a long way from those days... So he must've connected the dots and sub-conciously he knew Bela wasn't normal...

And we were deprived of the whole effect of shock on him coz he was immediately attacked. He was just exposed to it when the betrayal was still rankling him.

How she pulled them up on the roof

How she saved Anu (despite everything)

How she hugged him after soulmate zeher failure

Why she told him she assumed her zeher had affected him

How her parents and sister magically appeared

How she fought for him with fake bela

The prophetic dream

Bultu's girlfriend untimely death

Adi pushing him towards bela, his hand in that dark night

Her change of attitude towards him overtime...

This will all come back... This temporary phase of Memory loss, I don't think is their way of chickening out of explaining all this... it's only their delaying tactic ... This will all surely comeback...
