BeHir FF - Living The Death For You, CHAPTER - 2, PAGE - 5.

PROLOGUE :

"A thousand deaths in thousand births with you is mercy for me than a single blooming life without you. Every breath of mine is as poisonous as the venom in the life which is devoid of your existence. I'm too weak to let go of you...My Elixir of Life!!, said a woman while brushing her fingers onto her lover's hair while he smilingly put his head on her lap and slowly pulled her head towards him to embrace in a deep and passionate kiss. The man suddenly opened his eyes in a jerk and found himself lying down under the open sky and completely drenched in rain. He got up grabbing his head and found that he was badly hurt in the head. He remembered that the love of his life... his beloved... just had died in front of him and he could not even save her. He dragged himself to the edge of the cliff from where their hands were parted for forever. He cried his heart out and said, You promised... you promised me my love... that we'll die together but you cheated me. You left me all alone in this world... you gave me this cursed life for eternity. The man was distraught and broken to the level with no resurrection. He roamed from paths to paths, he lived days after days with no heart to live but he had to as he was bound by her last wish which was for him to live. Days passed by and at one point of time, he could tolerate the burden of his own life no longer and decided to give up thus breaking her promise. He went to the same edge of the cliff where his life gave her life and stood at the same point where she left his hand and got lost in the pit of darkness for eternity. He remembered her last words, where she was hanging from the edge of the cliff by grabbing his arm and said, I love you... I will be yours in this birth... in the next birth... in all births... for eternity. I will love you till the end of time... No matter how many times we get lost in the crowd... you'll always feel my presence near you, I will come back to you. Even if time changes its course... I will still come back to you... I promise but till then... you will live, you'll have to live... it's...my last wish. He closed his eyes opened his arms and apologized to her, I'm sorry my love... I can't fulfil your wish. He was about to jump when a past memory flashed into his mind

[Memory]

The man was standing outside the chamber of a physician while the woman was being treated inside as she was suffering from a terminal illness. The man was just helplessly sitting outside and the most tormenting part was to see her getting faded away with each passing day. While he was waiting for the doctors to come out, a shadow appeared out of nowhere in front of him. As the shadow appeared, everything around him became chilled and dark and there was a pungent smell of evil. The man was confused and curious and asked, Who are you? The shadow, without replying asked, Do you want to save your beloved? The man was shocked on hearing its question and asked, What are you? The shadow again asked, Do you want to save your beloved? The man in a trance and urge to save his love replied, Yes!! The entity raised its finger and said, almost in a warning tone, But that will require a price to be paid. The main desperately replied, I will do anything. The entity gave him a talisman and said, Make up your mind carefully!! The entity was slowly vanishing when the man asked, Where are you going? How will I find you? Before vanishing completely, the entity said, "Wear it, hold it and close your eyes and we will find you. The entity disappeared into the thin air.

The man wore the talisman but never had the opportunity to use it but he grabbed that opportunity and then as instructed by that entity repeated all the steps and he whooshed into the thin air and within a second, he was standing in front of a big black castle which was standing as an epitome of everything dark, evil and sinful. He was extremely scared but his determination to save her tarnished the fear in his heart. He slowly walked towards the castle all scared but thought it to be the last opportunity to save her. When he stood in front of the gate, it opened automatically and he got inside without giving it a second thought. On getting inside, he found another shadowy entity which appeared as the guard standing in front of him who pointed him towards the stairs and in a deep, unholy voice uttered, They're waiting for you. The man climbed the stairs, on the other end of which opened a room which was showered with light from fire torches and where 7 same shadowy figure were sitting with their faces covered by long hoods. The man could feel that his heart was beating very loudly. He cleared his throat and wanted to speak something when one of them raised his hands and seeing the way, the man deduced that entity to be their leader. The leader said, I know what you wish for!! But a soul which had already left the mortal body can not be resurrected. She has gone forever!! We can not bring her back to life!! The man said, "She promised me... She promised me that she will come back to me. I will wait for her, I will live for her till the end of time. Help me!! The leader, in the same tone, replied, What you are wishing for is not life... you are wishing for death, a life worst than death. The man said, A life without her is worst than a curse. I know she will come back to me and she always keeps her promises. I can wait for thousands of lives to be with her. The leader got up from his seat and said, You haven't felt what curse is... you haven't seen a life where you will have to die everyday in order to live. You'll have to pay the price. In order to carry out the ritual, you have to take a blood oath and once the oath is made there's no going back. The man was too desperate to do anything for his beloved and said, I will do anything as you say. The leader nodded his head and said, Very well!! He walked up to the man and then asked the others to prepare him for the transformation ritual. When the man was finally brought before the leader, after getting him bathed and all prepared for the ritual, the leader opened his arms and looked upwards and said, "You are hereby giving up your soul for eternity, you will live forever but you will have to live a tormenting life to see every people you love decaying in front of you. You will beg for death, but your fate will never let you die. You will roam for eternity till the end of time. You will have to kill in order to survive. You can never expose your true self to anyone. You can only perish when the person you love the most will stab you through your heart. Do you agree to this life? The man closed his eyes and remembered his love's smiling face and said, I do!! A shiny piece of paper appeared before the man and the leader then picked up a ritual dagger and asked the man to cut his hand with that dagger and give his hand's blood imprint on it. When the man did as asked, the leader than took back the ritual dagger and then said, Your cursed life begins now!! Saying the leader slit the man's throat and the body of the man dashed on the ground.
