The cast said in interviews how this season is different from the previous two and its new and fresh. Anita said her character is anti or grey and is very complex. I know a lot of us doesn't want to see Bela and Vish turn enemies like what happened in the previous two seasons. If Vish does turn against Bela which signs are showing that ; I definitely think it will not be because of Mahir. It will be because of Vikrant. In the last episode Vish keeps encouraging Bela to kill Mahir and be done with it. Like what someone recently said in this forum; Vikrant and Vish had an affair behind Ruhi back. I believe Vikrant and Vish were lovers and was trying to snatch Ruhi naagrani title from her. I definitely think Vikrant killed Ruhi mom and was taking advantage over her. So like Bela who believed Vikrant was her lover; Vish wants Mahir dead as much as her.
A couple of things I want to touch upon...
Bela: I am enjoying her performance as a naagrani or Queen. I know some people are saying she looks stiff etc but why I believe that is because as a queen you have to be calm,,elegant and be serious. Her transition from innocent Bela to Naagrani Bela was great. About her character right now is she is indeed naive. she is surrounded by the wrong people who are swaying her thoughts; but if Vish and Vikrant was having an affair behind her back; I can't wait to see her find out and how her character evolves.
Bela & Vish friendship: Behind the scenes Surbhi and Anita are great friends and that shows on screen as well. I love the teamwork and scenes between Vish and Bela. I really hope they don't turn enemies but knowing this show they will do it for the ratings. But I believe even if Vish does turn negative; she doesn't have to stay negative forever. Her character could be redeemed. If Vish and Vikrant was having an affair and trying to betray Ruhi which I believe; Vish would be negative at that point but it could also be revealed that Vikrant was also playing Vish to and using her. Whatever may come I just don't want Vish to be negative. I want her to be the anti hero and their friendship to survive. For once in this show I want to see a powerful bond of friendship between these two. Why do they always have to turn friends against one another?
The Behir love scenes: The love scenes are cute but I feel they aren't organic. However coming from these shows I shouldn't be expecting more. What I mean is that whole kitchen scene between them wasn't needed to show the romance. But what many call "kitchen politics" it's just another method to get ratings. They are so many different ways to show their romance without the "kitchen politics and Saas Bahu" thing. For example seeing that they just got married we could have gotten a scene where Mahir takes Bela to dinner so they can know more about each other. Or not even dinner but a scene where after the marriage Mahir tries to open up with Bela. Bela already senses Mahir is truthful so she would know more about him.
For me in total this season is very decent and has a great cast. The story telling and dialogues are ok but I feel it could be more better than what it is. I watch shows like one tree hill and The crown and what connects me to the shows are dialogue and the emotionally driven storyline. I feel the dialogues for the show is not that strong and some of the supporting actors are not good. Overall it's an average/decent season.
