Dev is left rooted to the spot with Vidhi walking away from him to sleep with Simmi. Reality hits him hard and all the words he said to Vidhi in anger replays in his mind. Vidhi tum kuch dinon ke liye apne ma papa ke ghar chale jaana. Dev contemplates about what all has happened, one moment they were happy and content making promises of staying together for a lifetime in Goa and the other moment he himself asked Vidhi to stay away from him for sometime. Did he actually mean it? Dev thinks aloud " I am unable to bear Vidhi not being with me for even a night, how did I even ask her to go away from me ". Thinking this unknowingly he has become teary-eyed. Vidhi, who has forgotten her mobile in her bedroom slowly opens the door to not disturb Dev and notices Dev standing at the same spot as she left him. She observes him through the mirror and is stunned to see him getting emotional and thinking of her. Her heart melts into a puddle seeing her man being so vulnerable. The one thing that she has always feared was to see her man, the Dev Raichand to become vulnerable in front of anyone, she could not bear it earlier too when he had to request the police during her arrest or when he was requesting her papa to give their love a chance. Today again she has seen him being so torn but only this time it was because of her.
Unable to bear the sight in front of her, she runs and hugs him from behind. All the emotions that she tried to keep in check since their arguement earlier in the day comes out at once in form of tears and she breaks down holding him from behind and placing her head to his back, not understanding if she was comforting him or finding comfort in him. This action of Vidhi was enough for Dev to release his emotions and he too starts crying with his eyes closed and holding her hands at his chest tightly as if his life depends on her and if he leave her now, she may vanish forever from his life.
Vidhi : D..d..dev
Dev who was trying to find some peace in her embrace has now heard his name for the first time from the love of his life. This has been his wish to hear her say his name from the moment he confessed his love for her in front of Milapini maa in her home. But he knew Vidhi would not do so then, also with all the events that followed he never bothered much about it. But after marriage, he was desperate to hear his name from her as he knew somewhere in their relationship the boss and employee angle was still there and as much as he cherished those memories, he wanted them to start a new chapter as husband and wife only. He could not help but feel some kind of distance, a sense of formality whenever Vidhi addressed him as sir. Hearing her say out his name made Dev even more emotional now and he turned around in a jiffy and cupped Vidhi by her cheeks
Dev : kya kaha? Phir se bolo na... please vidhi .. main sunna chahtha hoon
Vidhi wiping her tears off and with a tender smile playing on her lips says " Dev ". Hearing this an overwhelmed Dev hugs her tightly and kisses her tenderly on the top of her head. He slowly reaches to her eyes and kisses away the tears that are threatening to fall. He reaches her cheeks and drops gentle kisses on both the sides and lingers around for few moments more than intended. He slowly reaches for her lips, Vidhi has now closed her eyes in anticipation. He waits for a moment unsure if Vidhi was ready or not.. vidhi upon not receiving his love has understood his dilemma, she slowly extends her neck and brings her face closer to his. Having received her silent message, Dev slowly reaches her lips with his and gives a small peck there and awaits her reaction. Vidhi feels an electrifying sensation pass through her body, even though unsure of how to proceed, she goes with the flow and kisses him back. This was enough for Dev who was trying to control his urge. He now passionately deepened the kiss and slowly opened his lips taking her upper lip between his first and after relishing it for sometime takes her lower lip and does the same with more passion. Vidhi unable to take the emotions reaches for his hair for support, and brings him even closer to her face and further deepens the kiss. Dev slowly reaches for her waist and pulls her closer not leaving her lips. He reaches the side cuts of her kurti and slowly touches her waist and naughtily pinches her. Vidhi gives a moan which causes Dev to be pleased of his actions. Both of them now in need of air reluctantly leave each other and look into each other's eyes. Dev gives vidhi a wink to which she responds by blushing and bending down her head. He places his forehead against her forehead and calms his nerves and also hers.
Dev : I love you Vidhi. Main tumhse bahut pyaar karta hoon. Itna pyaar ki main bata nahin sakta..par main jaanta hoon tumhe bura lag raha hein ki maine tumhe apne maayka jaane ke liye kahatha..
Vidhi : Jaane dijiye na, ha mujhe bura lagatha par main samajh sakti hoon aapne gusse mein yeh kaha tha
Dev : Nahin Vidhi, we need to talk. Humein ek doosre ko apne feelings samjhana hoga. Mujhe shaadi ke pehle yehi laga ki hamari to love marriage hain aur hamarein life mein shaadi ke baad sirf pyaar hoga, khushiyaan honge. Main tumhe duniya bhar ka pyaar dena chahrahatha aur tumse paana bhi chahtha tha. Par main bhool gaya tha vidhi, yeh marriage tumhare liye 9 to 5 ka job nahin he, jab 5 baj gaya aur tum sare kaam sare office ke tensions chod kar apne ghar chali jaogi aur uske baad hum sirf flowery batein karenge phone par. Main bhool gaya tha ki ye rishta ab sirf tumhara aur mera nahin par tumhara aur mere parivaar ka hein. Lekin yeh baat bhi sach hai ki tumhe yeh jaana hoga ki kya is parivaar tumhe poori tarah se apnaya hain ya nahin.
Vidhi : Ye aap kya keh rahe hain, kya main is parivaar ka hissa nahin hoon? Kya sab ne mujhe apnaya nahin he.
Dev : Vidhi ek baar socho hamare saari ungliyaan ek jaise nahin hein, waise hi sare parivaar ke sadasya ek jaise nahin hote. Ha maa ne aur Abhimanyu ne tumhe poori tarah se accept kar liya hein dil se lekin Priya aur masi nahin na. Bilkul waise jaise tumhare chachi hai. Kya tum jakar apne chachi ke ghar mein koi issue ko lekar apna idea dekar aaogi aur kya woh sunegi..bolo?
Vidhi : n..nahin
Dev : toh ? Dekha yehi main tumhe samjhana chahtha hoon. Priya aur Abhimanyu ke life main jo bhi hua hein woh unka personal matter hain. Tumhe ya mujhe ya kisi aur ko bhi un donon ko judge karne ka koi haq nahin hai. Agar Priya ya Abhi ne tumhe kuch suna diya ho toh? Unlogon ka haq hein tumhe apni jagah mein rehne ke liye kehne ki... aur woh aisa kuch bol diya hota toh?
Vidhi : toh main sun leti thoda bardaasht kar leti.. simmi ke liye... mujhe bura nahin lagega agar mere upar chillakar , undono ki jhagda band hua ho to
Dev : par main bardaasht nahin kar paaunga koi tumhe kuch kahein to. I am very protective of you Vidhi. Shaayad yeh darr ke wajah se kahin tumhein in logon ki baatein na sunni pade, main ne subconsciously kah diya tumhein kuch dinon ke liye yahan se jaane ke liye, na kuch socha na samjha bas kehdiya kyunki tum safe raho
Vidhi : par simmi ke baare mein to koi soch nahi raha hein
Dev : vidhi, simmi tab khush hogi jab khud priya aur abhi ek saath jeenein mein khush ho to, nahin to aise roj roj ke jhagde dekhkar uss par kya asar hoga
Vidhi : lekin divorce huye parents ke bacche bhi to affect hote haina? Kya simmi uss situation ko face karein
Dev : yeh issue itna easily resolve nahin hoga jab tak poora sach pata na chalein... main kal subah priya se baat karunga ki uska point of view kya hain, abhi to gusse mein hein woh nahin sunega.
Vidhi : sahi keh rahe hain aap
Dev let out a little sigh and did his usual head nodding gesture which Vidhi mimicked.
Vidhi : late hogaya hein, simmi mera intezaar kar rahi hogi main chalti hoon
Dev who was expecting Vidhi to stay back in their room was disappointed but he knew his vidhi, how she would put everyone else's happiness in front of hers. But isn't this quality of hers that made him fall for her, made him break his oath of not marrying forever to now thinking about how their life with kids would be. Thinking this a slight smile appeared on his mouth and he kissed her cheek and gave a small peck on her lips.Vidhi became red again and left after bidding him good night. She stopped at the doorstep and looked back
Vidhi : waise main sirf choti bacchi kohi nahin iss bade bacche ko bhi sone mein madad kar sakti hoon
Dev's face lit up with this and he went to bring along his pillow and was searching for his mobile
Vidhi : jaldi chaliyen mujhe do bacchon ko sulaana hain aur jaldi sona hein.. kal subah bahut saara kaam hein khaana banana hein , simmi ke homework karana hein aur packing bhi to karni hein.. apne maayke jo jaa rahi hoo
Hearing this Dev gives a bewildered expression to which Vidhi laughs her head off and runs away. Dev gives a huge sigh of relief and sheepishly follows her with his pillow like a kid.
