Dev's Very First Moment of Acceptance

Some moments are priceless, precious

as they force us to celebrate the present without worrying abt future,

want us to appreciate they happened without wanting to know why they happened,

want us to just pray to god that if time could stand still as that moment is there after eternity,

All we wanted.. was to cherish this moment lil longer...

cause no idea when it will happen again...

cause this moment is Dev's moment... a moment when he was lost in her eyes, in her tiny hand, in her confidence in him and his love for her (no matter how silent his love is)..

finally he let her hold his hand without stopping her and thats very first step from him towards this Impossible Impractical Relationship......

he is the slowest Goods Train ever running at snails pace but i am happy at least it started and not standing in its parking just staring at her from far away ke i am not your layak as you are Shatabdi express and running at its peak while i am going to slow you down in this life's journey...

When Vidhi was helding Dev's hand in her tiny hands,he also held it as if he doesn't wants to lost her hand. It was such a sweet and short moment but it conveyed a lot. May be he can't give a consoling hug or expression of his inner feelings but his love, concern for Vidhi was conveyed through his eyes. And Vidhi would have felt helding his hand is her right because he himself said by holding her hands when she was behind the bars " Mein tumhare sath hoon". That's not just wordings, that's actually the power of love which Dev can't stop in himself when Vidhi was in trouble. He can't see her Vidhi in pain and she can't see Dev Sir going to jail for her sake. I wonder who loves more ? Is it Dev who loves Vidhi unconditionally or is it Vidhi who loves Dev Sir in a selfless way? I wants to see the overflow of feelings which they are bearing in their souls. It would be a visual treat and I can't wait. Thanks a lot Telly ,you have penned down so well the perspective of Dev and thanks for tagging me here.

You are so right, Telly. In that moment everything faded away for him. The society, norms and even his own fears were no match to his Vidhi's open adoration through her glowing face, sparkling eyes and radiant smile.

This guy is as straight as an arrow and that's what has drawn me to him. He loves her. He told her that. He believed / believes they have no future. He told her that. He does not want or give her any hope that there would be a future. He told her that too. He can't stand to see her in pain / fear / hurt / lonely... or even putting herself down with her "mujh mein aisa hain hi kya jo...". He was right there with his - I'm with you, you are not alone, I'm not going to leave you, I can't see you like this and "tum khud ko kahi kisi aur se kam mat samajhna. Tum special ho."

Now it is to be seen how this Goods Train and Satapdi Express find a mutually comfortable speed for their journey forward.

@Revutty - as to who loves whom more - I think the depth is equal in both of them. Difference is -

Dev's is like a still, silent lake that extends far into the horizons. And the bystandars have no clue of its depth. Be it Amba or Priya or someone else, if they underestimate and assume that it's an easy task to encroach on it and build castles of their own, it will flood and drown them in its force. (Like the lakes turned Bangalore to Venice)

Whereas Vidhi's love is like a clear spring - more loud, fresh, eager... open. Easy to see the depth yet with no clue as to how far it extends. But just because you can see how deep it is, doesn't mean you can walk through and splash the water at will. The flow of water is rapid and wrong assumptions would have the person sliding down the slippery slope.
