My dear lovely readers,

Pranam.

Hope you all are doing great. I apologize for my verbal diarrhea in advance. I need help to figure something out. Yeh Indian television shows koi bhi ho across channel itne bhayankar kyoun ho jaate hain even though they start at a good note. Jaise NUKSH started at a good note matlab better ho sakta tha but still it was worth watching but gradually they all become strange as in it is not possible to relate with it. They became such a drama fest ki jhela nahi jata. I want to ask my fellow viewers here are they really enjoying all the unnecessary drama that we are enduring right now in NUKSH. We watch TV to be entertained not to get irritated. And TRPs also indicate that all this mess is not helping either. I have learned that tier 2 and tier 3 cities of India enjoy such story line of soutans and domestic violence and bisoorti hui heroine and crappy pati and chalak nanad etc etc I come from a conventional middle class tier 2 city in UP now called Prayagraj. Even growing up my dad and my housewife mom had denied me the luxury of soaps saying this is crap. A huge lot of women in my household laughed at the shadi after shadis in Ekta kapoor shows. So I am wondering what makes the creatives keep dishing out the same crap fest despite the fact that TRPs are not high. A change in storyline might be able to grab the attention of younger generation.

There is so much that could be explored in this story. Generation gap, adjustment issues due to difference in class of the male and and female protagonist, Priya’s desire to work and how Vidhi could convince SW to achieve it. SW’s loneliness, a trade war, fall of raichand empire and then rise again. Vidhi becoming an achiever professionally, that girl child that has vanished from the scenario entirely Abhi and Priya’s girl child her growth and how she copes up with societal pressure Vidhi could be incorporated in thAt. All this is Drama that is if they did not want to explore the romantic story between Videv.

Why do creatives think that such crap will be liked despite the fact that shows today get very low TRPs.

Rant over

Thank you for letting me vent out my frustration.
yours Truly

Saumya

PS:- kudos to writers here do a better job at creating drama than the show writers.👏

Yaar I saw this post now only. I agree the thrill, excitement which we had in the beginning of the show some how it wents in vain when we find some extra Dramebaazis which actually kills the show. For maintaining the perspective of positive and negative characters makers can give screenspace to them and it's good also. But they should not forget the fact that we want to see the progress of leads , their love, their bonding. Let all others get dialogues, but why we need to see them as very much dramatic. ? Some sort of drama is necessary which is understood but it should not be like toxic which we need to bear just because we are in love with ViDev. Now it's like every day we watch if today we will get a scene of ViDev or not? Why that suicide drama was done ? Can't they portray Amba in a decent way ? Can't they show some positive thing like Chitra and Vikram takes her to a psychiatrist and she getting some sort of treatment. Why they made her as these much negative? In starting she was not negative and I used to like her a lot. Why for getting Dev she needs to blame Vidhi ? All these things are hell irritating to watch.

Hey Saumya

Same thoughts as you have here. There was(may be there still is) so much potential in the story. They could show a dearth of situations where they need to fight it out together rather than having the same old ghisa pitha 3rd wheeling/vamp/multiple people fighting for one or both the leads/mahaan tyaagi lead aatmas . I havent met a single person in my whole life that has any of these traits 😆. Not sure what inspires the writers to write these characters.

I can see where this show is headed to. It has also fallen into 100 episode curse. After which any ITV show fall into a dumpster and follows the old tropes. In ITV land there are only 2 kind of people - black and white. There are no grey shades. People are fundamentally flawed. They need to understand that and move the story forward.

There are so many things, currently happening, that are not needed at all to progress the story.

And, I always had a big question - When the makers show such high profile, wealthy big shots, they make them talk some random things - close the deal, fix the meetings, etc with nothing in detail. I really wonder if they do any homework/research on what actually a CEO, high profile executive does at any office.

I cringed and laughed yesterday when Vidhi was talking about all the branches they have and how Dev helped different employees. I mean they could have just talked about Dev's helping nature without mentioned about "London branch", "Delhi Branch" 🤔. I was like really? Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix etc have very limited "Branches". They are not the galli ke corner waali chai dukaans to have a store at every corner of the world.

And why does everything the leads do have to be a media sensation. I am not sure if that really happens in reality.

But who am I. I will have fun until it starts sinking, which I hope doesnt happen (but i can see it coming smiley36)

They definitely killed the buzz of show to a certain degree. The simplicity of the story is what drew me in but they are bringing in unnecessary drama to the plot now.

They could have shown more office scenes where they can build up the stories or Vidhi to start MBA where we can see Dev helping her. I don't understand what type of son in law could dare to hurt their mother in law in public. That's disgusting! I loved every episode in the beginning...it had tons of impacts!

I am hoping they focus on Vidhi and Dev's mature love story without showing violence and typical drama.

I completely agree with you on all the points. I am going to watch just scenes posted on Twitter from now on jab tak show track par na aa jaaye. Main scenes wahin post ho hi jaate hain.

Show ab jhela nahin jaata mujhse. The only show which I have watched without any typical tropes from start to end was Mere Dad ki Dulhan. Jaldi band ho gaya woh show. Yahi problem hai ITV ki.

@ bold exactly why has she have to be a mentally unstable person. I don’t say that people like her don’t exist for sure they do par unke bare mein jaanane ke liye hum crime tak, savdhan India type show dekh leinge na. We turn to fiction because we want to see some happy moments something light and cheerful. Aur above all apni every day life mein humne kitne aisi auratein dekhi hai. This is so beyond drama Amba to nibbiyon type high school romance khel rahi hai.

@ red Arrey mental health aisi cheezon ko address karna ITV ke level se bahar hai. Utna to main soch bhi nahi sakti. Though if they do so things like depression will start getting normalized.

@ green not only make her negative make her down right cynical and evil. 10 cr ki dukan kharid lo. Kissi ka ghar tudvane ka kam kar lo. I mean yeh to criminal hi bana diya yaar. Ek akeli larki jo literally orphan hai is such a successful women kuch to grey matter raha hoga ki sab bas jai universe karke mil gaya.

yaar pata hai I always hear ki yeh shows small towns ki ladies ki bahut acche lagte hain they like such characters. Issiliye the makers keep dishing this crap
I seriously want to find out if this is true are we middle class small town women so underdeveloped intellectually that we enjoy this crap.

@ bold 🤣

the first thing they do is they never clarify what exactly is the business that this billionaire is into.
Then there deals are sealed like a magic pill. Khair this I will attribute to romance Genre all together. I guess we women are largely unaware of the world in general or how these multi billion industries function. So we are served with this stale turkey time and time again. We like the idea of a billionaire or a powerful person who has nothing more to do than just being arrOund their beautiful partners.

Air this love of ITV with media is boat load of crap. Tell me how many of us are aware of family life and what happens Jindal family. Right now they are number 2 steel producers of India. Or how many times was media able to reach Adani home. Even Ambanis we only know as much they reveal. These industrial houses are uncrowned royalties of India ek normal reporter inke ghar ke bahar bhi khada nahi milega without their permission.

The ship is already half way into the oil spill I am that rat which is all ready to quit now 🤣

I don't have find anything like that yaar. Meri saas is a school drop out. She studied upto 8 th standard only. But unhein Dramebaazi bilkul acchi nahi lagti. Woh NUKSH dekhti hein mere saath.. Unhein isliye pasand hein kee zyada drama nahin hein kahani mein. Ekta ke Ek serial dekhti thi kuch saal pehle tab mein office mein thi and unhone khud stop kee, Kyunki kehne lagi serial ke leads ko akkal nahi. I don't know kya sochkar Dramebaazi chaalu karte hein, thoda dikhana toh padta hein. Matlab story ke flow ke hisaab se sabko role and screen space chahiye. But iska yeh matlab nahi kee violence, suicide yeh sab dikhaye. At least NUKSH mein yeh sab was not expected.

I agree the simplicity of the story was refreshing. I too hopes that they would focus more on Videv but does not looks like it is going to happen.
