May be or may be not... he might be shrewd businessman with whom mohan's ideals don't match... & troubled relationship doesn't mean that a person is emotionless... we have to wait for few more episodes to see how this character takes shape.

I also agree with you.And he and Mohan are so alike in many ways...and I think he has been pained a lot by his son's rejection of him all these years..Both father and son have their egos and neither one is willing to take the first step towards bridging that distance.
