wow so first of all awesome post as i already mentioned before ;)
And truth be told, i did not observe half the things you mentioned so today i like went back and rewatched all the episodes from the last week!
And as hard as it was to observe and force myself to evaluate the subtle expressions and not being hypnotized by Mohan nashili aakhein,I think i did somehow do that..
The thing about Mohan that I think we all have always accepted and realized is that he is so human! He is the guy that could be living next door to us right now (well not me but maybe someone who is reading this)- He feels, he gets hurt..He has an ego..He changes his mind in a second and acts impulsively..He cannot see the one girl who trusts him more then anyone, the one girl who will forever hold a place in his heart aka nanhi cry. Yet despite that, he still has to go..Why? A lot of reasons- ego, frustration, hurt, humiliation and in a way just plain ol' annoyance with all the drama that the Vyas household has thrown at him the past few days...
And when he comes back, I think even though his last encounter was with Megha, I would not give her all the credit for him changing his mind. I think he came back to give everything- his love and his life in junha mahullah another chance.. And that shows another aspect of Mohan that the CV's have tried to show us-His maturity. I feel like we have almost seen MOhan mature over the past few months. Hell, we have seen him mature from his last encounter with Rashmi. Would Pre-Rashmi Mohan have dealt wtih everything the same way as he is done now?
Moving on, this humanness to Mohan makes him more appealing to us and I will go out on limb and say as much as I love Megha, at times she is almost unreal with the way she deals with the unfairness that she has encountered in the Vyas household at times.

And now the one of the best parts of the show on the 29th may- the part where he just says it like it is!! I cannot tell you how much i loved it!
Finally there is a guy, who loves and says it like it is..you are right, he has got nothing to lose. He has suffered enough hurt and is almost at the point of losing her forever when he says this..What better time? This is what I call a man! A man who knows when to be silent and when he should just say whatever is in his heart..
Unrequited love is only romantic for a certain amount of time, after that you just need "man up" and go out there and face what you feel? What's the worst that can happen- you will get hurt! and taking that back to Mohan!

Another quality I love about him is that he will go out there and take a chance at anyone! He does not let his fear rule his life! I mean logically, this is a man who at this point has no one except Guru as his everlong companion. He has never gotten along with his father, his mother is stuck in between and the one girl he loved left him with a heartbreak that took him 6-7 years to get over! And he knows what Megha will tell him but that did'nt stop him..Isse kehte asli ishq!

"chori chori pyaar to har koi kar sakta hain, lekin jo dil ki baat zubaan pe leke aaye, jo mehsoos karke, alfaazo se bayaan kar sake, Usse heen to ishq kehte hain"

And the expressions on his face when he is asking her waht "haq" she has?!?!
Sigh, KKK - when did you go from becoming the simple minded yudi to the amazing magnetizing Mohan Bhatnagar?!?!?!

oh and about Mohan and Nanhi- I have no words! I really don't! I mean there has yet to be a relationship that innocent and that pure that i have seen in real life or on tv..And i guess a part of me does hope that there are real life nanhi's and spidermans out there! On a side note, our society has become so tainted with so many crimes and just perversions that I don't think we can even accept or understand such pure relationships without forming a doubt in our head-

ok that's it..I was going to write one line or a couple lines here..but god i just went on and on!
Thanks for the wonderful thought provoking post and hopefully this show inspires you to write a few more ;)

😆 Yes, I know, unki aankhen tere dil ka kya haal karti hai. 😉

BINGO. Its like I keep saying, he has no airs. With Mohan, what you see is what you get. He knows he's flawed, and he doesn't try to hide it. He is who he is, take it or leave it, he doesn't really care. Only, he DOES care...kyounki har cheez ki limit hoti hai, and Mohan's "I don't care" attitude can only go so far. As you said, he's HUMAN and his irritation, annoyance, and pain are all so very justified.

And when he comes back, I think even though his last encounter was with Megha, I would not give her all the credit for him changing his mind. I think he came back to give everything- his love and his life in junha mahullah another chance.. And that shows another aspect of Mohan that the CV's have tried to show us-His maturity. Thanks for making this point. We HAVE seen him mature these past few months. He has evolved via his intermingling with the other characters. As I said earlier, he is not the same Mohan we met in January.

Moving on, this humanness to Mohan makes him more appealing to us and I will go out on limb and say as much as I love Megha, at times she is almost unreal with the way she deals with the unfairness that she has encountered in the Vyas household at times.

Hm...I would love to know why you think so, but we'll reserve that convo for a later time. I do agree that perhaps she's a bit subdued, but we must remember that this is Indore and they have very traditional values.

And now the one of the best parts of the show on the 29th may- the part where he just says it like it is!! I cannot tell you how much i loved it!

I had a feeling this would strike a chord with you. Mohan always tells it like it is. He doesn't hold back or sugar-coat things. So now, when he has nothing left to lose, why not just come out and say it? Besides, when you've hit rock bottom, you have nothing left but the truth of your own being staring you blankly in the face. If you're ever going to rise up again, you've got to come to terms with what that truth is. Face it head on. And that's exactly what Mohan did.

I love you for saying this. His "going and taking a chance at anyone" has always been apparent. Its a part of his bindass, 'i dont' give a damn' attitude. He does what he wants, when he wants, and simply doesn't give a damn. Besides, what's the worst that can happen? Of course this attitude of his has been ever so slightly muted when it comes to Nanhi/Megha because he DOES give a damn when it comes to them (and he's always given a damn when it comes to Guru), but even this has its limits. He loves Megha because he does. He tells her because he can't run from that truth, and he doesn't really give a damn what it all means for him, for her, for them. Again, it is what it is. Unrequited as it may be, its not something he can change...nor does he want to...nor should he try to. He has already accepted that Mrs. Vyas may never be HIS Megha, but that's not stopping him.

"chori chori pyaar to har koi kar sakta hain, lekin jo dil ki baat zubaan pe leke aaye, jo mehsoos karke, alfaazo se bayaan kar sake, Usse heen to ishq kehte hain"

What is this from?

And the expressions on his face when he is asking her waht "haq" she has?!?!
Sigh, KKK - when did you go from becoming the simple minded yudi to the amazing magnetizing Mohan Bhatnagar?!?!?!

Hehehe. I can totally see the look on your face as you say this. Slipping back under his spell, I see? He's brilliant, isn't he? 😳

Enough said.

That's the problem with Mohan. He makes us speechless and gushy all at the same time. 😉

I mis you! 🤗

Hema, I told you you didn't have to respond, but I am SO glad you did. Love your character analysis of Mohan. I completely concur with all that you said above, and can't wait to come back and add my thoughts tomorrow. Thanks for this post...I love that we're on the same page here.

And are u sure u dont' have a Mohan living next door? We shoulda gone and knocked on your neighbors door to confirm when I was there. 😆

@Mandy: Thank you for appreciating my small effort to shine light on the characters and show.

@Debasis: Thanks for attempting to read it. I know its long, I didn't expect it to be so long but it seems my thoughts just flow when I start writing. I apologize again for the length. Thanks for your time.

wonderful analysis payal! I was literally nodding affirmatively while reading some of ur points, lol
completely agree abt what makes mohan not give in to nanhi's plea asking him not to go. And yes, he realises he does mean something to 'mrs.Vyas' who cant see him going away from her. Why couldnt she tell him on his face that she loves only amar? but she had to keep mum coz unknowing to her, mohan does mean a lot to him.

Thank you. I'm hoping she has the guts to tell him soon. He deserves that much from her, because as she said, angane mein hi sahi, she seems to be giving his love wings. I have no doubts though that Mohan (at least for now) will be completely OK with being a dear friend of hers whom she truly cherishes.

As I said before, thank you for taking the time to read it.

I was hesitant stating what I did about Daddy's little girl being his little girl forever, but isn't it so true? He may be her best friend, but he has stepped into the role of papa when need be. I love that he doesn't treat her like his daughter, but as an equal at all times, but we've seen him console her (the way her papa would have [or, in his own personal Mohan-style] if he was there) on more than one occasion.
