that is one amazing constancy of the *-reporter: whenever anyone accuses him of lying or saying things to misguide anyone, mohan's brow instantly crinkles. an unmistakeable, unspoken, undeniable way that he has to deny that as being possible in his universe. it's like an automatic reaction, something that he can't even control. and i think that it's rather incredible that the actor manages to convey the purity of that reaction -- that there is a core steel in mohan that would never lie, perhaps not even the sort that is a white lie, even if it to make someone feel good.

where this feeling -- about the truth being the most important thing to him -- becomes set in stone is in all his interactions with nanhi. it is considered almost natural that it's okay to lie to a kid to make the kid feel better. 'cause after all, what does a kid know? but mohan has never lied to his chavanni -- at least, not as far as i can see. he has always been straight with her. even going to the extent of going searching for her in the enemies house in disguise, to insist that if she could just see what he has found, she would believe that he was not wrong about her father being wrong. somehow, i always remember that as the sweetest mohan bhatnagar act, ever. i mean, who does that? which grown up would ever treat a child's opinion with such heart-wringing sincerity?

i think that i will be able to tolerate much in this show (even though my trust is so deep now that i know the scriptwriters won't ever make me suffer 😃) but the one thing that i think would make me cry is if nanhi ever made her spiderman to furrow his brow.

scriptwriters, thank you for mohan and nanhi. kisses for this show! 😊

estee ji very well written..Mohan's character has been drawn up with such consistent integrity and of course uski acting ..huge SIGH :) just superb..i really liked ur observation--"nd i think that it's rather incredible that the actor manages to convey the purity of that reaction -- "

I fear this consitency being shaken. According to some written scroll, mohan hides the fact about Amar's murder. I have not read the scroll and moreover written scrolls are mostly misleading or of no use, so i hope Mohan's strength of truth and sincerity is maintained through out.

the character would have had half of it's effect had it not been played kunal kapoor.. He's a helluva mindblowing actor ... 👏 👍🏼

Daro mat yaar KKK kaise chodega show, hum log usse chodne denge tab na 😉

I had watched some of his scenes in the serials he previously acted and I can say he has grown immensely in his acting skills which we all can see. Har scenes voh kitne perfection ke saath deta hai, its a treat to watch him 😍

And as for hidding the evidence of Amar's murder from Megha, there has to be a valid reason as why he is doing it and to know about that reason we need to watch upcoming episodes and as we all know he is the Star Reporter of PL so strong reason toh hoga hi

ya, the actor is really superb. i remember when the show first started, some dork of a newspaper report said that the lead girl was pretty, the setting was real, the show had a new premise, and that the only weak spot was the lead guy was not so pretty/charismatic/well-built/blah-de-blah-de-blah. well, eat dirt, ignorant reporter. too bad you aren't as good a reporter as mohan bhatnagar. 😆 'cause what a stupid statement that turned out to be!

y'know? after watching the last episode, i can imagine why mohan might not reveal that he has the evidence. think 'bout it: nanhi's been kidnapped, by scummy old deenanath. he will probably send a ransom note asking to exchange evidence for nanhi. if mommy-and-daadu have the choice, they would immediately turn it over. there is no question about it -- that is what the emotion and the heart would insist on.

and i guess, this is where mohan's belief that the most important thing in the universe is the truth might run against his deep love for nanhi. but like he told nanhi, to overcome fear, he has to:

* face his fear, and

* keep his mind clear and cold and calm

and he will realise that if they turn over the evidence just like that (which is what mrs. vyas will want to do) that would set the investigation back a million years, and amar's innocence might well never be proved. not only that, scummy old deenanath may not even turn nanhi over after he gets the evidence. 'cause then they would lose all the leverage they have over that scumbag.

so i can imagine that mohan may not tell them of the evidence? after all, if mrs. vyas knows about it, she will never stop till he gives it up to her. and mohan probably knows he doesn't have the strength of will to fight both his fear that his chavanni is scared and hurt, and mrs. vyas' tears and hysteria.

i never imagined i would be able to get back into a tv show after having loved prem-heer so much. partly 'cause my life is mad. (ya, so long post here, i'd guess. but man, does mohan bhatnagar and his chavanni make me want to gush! 😆) but also, 'cause i couldn't imagine what could catch my fancy as much as they did. i still have flashes of them in my head when i am not careful. those two little demons still sit on my shoulder disturbing my thoughts once in a long while.

but seriously, mohan bhatnagar is the best character that hindi tv-land has ever created. but unlike all the other characters, he is scary, 'cause he is sooo real, no? 😕
