LOVE the parallels shown...and I LOVED the way she bobbed her eyebrows at him...when he did it, he did it in this TASHAN wala way...lolll...and when she did it she did in this good natured camaraderie wala way that was just SO sweet.
It shows how there's been such a development and growth in their relationship and I like how it's been GRADUAL and it is still going gradually. I like that very much about this show. They are handling MM's LOVE story very carefully and especially from Mohan's pov because lets say it was pretty obvious right from the start that Mohan would be the first one falling for her but the way they are developing Mohan's feelings for her is just commendable. It has been a trend among desi shows to start a love story with bantering between the leads, then friendship and then one of them falling for the other. It's such a common formula for ALL love stories BUT the difference lies in HOW they do it. You don't really connect with all other stories because they are just repeating what all other shows already show in terms of "trip-catch routines" and eyelocks but in case of MM, there's as much of individual character development as is the love story. They are using the love story as a base...a background to the overarching story of Mohan and Mrs. Vyas. A good story is one that incorporates a love story within the story of the characters and the relationships and not the one where characters' story is overshadowed by endless confessions of PURE love and resolving numerous misunderstandings because of the lack of a very basic element of a relationship---COMMUNICATION. MM, on the other hand, have come to develop that communication amongst themselves, that trust on one another and mutual respect for one another. That signifies love in its own way...well right now from Mohan's pov. There's no need to show Mohan discussing the "SYMPTOMS" of being in love with his reflection or other character, that should be left to the viewers first. Besides, who likes to see repeated stuff over and over again? Ingenuity lies in coming up with unique ways to tell a story rather than just following the "norm," isn't it?
