Guys i got the confirmation by Man himself - Page 2

I have noticed the difference since the day the director got changed. Honestly speaking, I'm not liking this change very much. The director might have done great work in other shows but the cliched, lovey-dovey scenes are not working for this show.

Its okay upto whatever we have watched now...not more than this plz...no more over staring n over love...

Nice points hima... the makers know that they are handling mature love story & for both mohan & megha it would be second time. so they can't show progress like teenage love. I understand the fears of people who were not happy with lovy -dovy scenes in geet but we should also understand that channel policies also matter in this regard. star one put clear emphasis on romance between lead pair... so what can director do in that situation... didn't this PH created 12/24 karol bag... I haven't seen that show... but that was really talk of town... & they got appreciation for that...
Their love story was supposed to happened from day 1 & they've also promoted the show on this basis... how this will happen that would be a thing to watch.. but I know that Maan can handle this situation in a perfect manner.

And now i know why the last few episodes didn't sit too well for me ... it doesn't matter what the channel/ or the story says, a director's vision is of utmost importance ... you can give the same scenes, with the same actors, the same lines to two different directors and you will end up with two very different products ...


I watched geet for a little while ... it was engaging for some time ... but it become tedious very fast ... it was full of cliches - the lehraata hua dupaata, the 'mahi-mahi' background song, the heroine dancing in the rain as if the foolish girl has never experienced rain before in a country that routinely sees floods, the hero slicked with oil doing tai-chi mixed with martial arts with this ferocious expression on his face etc etc ...


... this is going to go the same way ... and all the subtleties, the little wonders that we loved so much are going to vanish ... its going to be mohan and megha in love, giving cloy glances, da-re-raa background done to death, two star crossed lovers battling the "bedard duniya"


Maan might be a fantastic director, but not for this type of story ... i think he excels in the the kind that appeals to the teenage crowd the most ... the rush of first love kinds ... not something this mature and serious.

... anyways, it was good till it lasted ... i'll keep watching for a couple of more days but i really don't have any hope now

@bips ..nice post but you cannot deny the fact that yesterday episode was one of the best indeed ...maan singh not only directed geet but MJHT and AND recently he was directing HUMSE HE LIFE( channel v) WHICH IS story of a girl struggling ...so lets give it a try ...he is trusted director of sunshine production

@bips, komal: the channel policies also affect decisions regarding story... one cannot deny that star one emphasised more on it's lead pair... their target group was different. You cannot blame the director for everything... these are collective decisions... & sometimes even PH doesn't have any say in these decisions... they have to do what channel asks them to do.
