I am not understanding that what kind of stuff is showing in the television channels especially in "colors", most of their shows such as 'na aana is desh ladoo', ' bhagyavidhatha' , 'balika vadhu', 'bairi piya', 'APJK ganga' its all superstitions and portraying women inferior to men . I belong to Kerala and i am shocked to see such outdated and evil customs. I just cant believe that women are treated such worthlessly. In our state women are enjoying all equal rights as men. Here parents are more anxious about their daughter's education and future than that of their son. Here we have ideal sex ratio of 1040:1000. Before the beginning of the show they are giving the message that all these are to protest the evils against women but what they are doing ? They are just deviating from their aim for cheap popularity and trps???????
All these soaps are giving wrong message for us living in other part of India. How can they show these stuff which is picturising Indian culture as so bad and outdated. They are also trying to show many superstitions. The way by they are showing all these i cant even recognize that they are protesting or promoting these social evils. I am just wondered that how can you all bear this. I can show many examples of their misleading : In NAIDL the protagonist was shown to be fighting against social evils but in the last episode it is shown that she even believe in certain superstitions. The examples are many landlords exploiting peasant's daughter, white marks in the body bringing bad luck and they are considered as inauspicious, marriage with tree etc.
Are you Indians especially from where this shows are showing not feeling bad. How can you tolerate all these stuff. The shows are deviating from their aim just for trps. I don't know how many of you are agreeing with me but believe me this stuffs are giving very bad idea about Indian culture. So please wake up and protest.

Rechup you have really expressed the thoughts that were there in my mind. In our place the girls education is given more importance than boys because they feel guys can manage to face world but girls must be more educated to face the world. I am also shocked at seeing these things in shows but i did some report and realised some of these things happen in some parts of India. But they are continously potraying educated people also following and believing these beliefs.
Take the case of Laddo Raghav is London educated and also owns his own business there can such a person ever behave badly with his wife because his mother told him. Till last month he was behaving badly with his wife. And his wife Sia is Delhi educated and believes in superstition. They are potraying as in even educated girls cannot live in this world without husband and in law support. So they are facing any humiliation from their husband and inlaws silently. They are spoiling image of educated people. Not to say that all educated are very liberal and mature but what is shown in shows is getting unbelievable.
And they are also spoiling the name of these regions by continously potraying such things agianst women. If they want to bring societal change the story line must show how these educated people like Raghav and Sia change the village and surroundings after returning from cities and abroad. That will be a good potrayal and even if some one follows these customs they will change seeing these things. Right now they are justifying that if you are bad you are very successful! And that educated will be defeated by illetrate people who follow these customs.
I rarely watch serials because none of them are good and repetitive but some of these serials that came by saying they are showing truth are showing too much and turing majority with social message into saas-bahu sagas like NAIDL.

Yes all these serails are rubbish..someone rightly said to watch them like you are watching comedy circus!!...i felt lado was a good show and different but it seems instead of the hype about social evil etc it has turned into a ridiculous love story....these evil customs some of them still exist in some villages in Haryana north India afcourse in a very different frame...but the show has gone haywire!..the female who was initially brought in to fight against this evil has now bowed down to the other female who is the route cause for evil in that village!!..so there you go...anything is possible in this world..its all such rubbish really....and like you rightly said these educated people like siya raghav etc bowing down to such atrocities..its ridiculous...especially siya who has made a fool of herself since the very day she discovered raghav and ammaji cheated on her.which educated girl would bow down to people who illtreated and misbehaved with her the way ammaji did.....i mean its disgusting really and i agree its not fair to show such crap!!!....these like tracks really are avoidable...

I wish that i could watch it like comedy circus but it is impossible for me because as an Indian woman it hurts my feelings. They are clearly portraying women as men's shadow and so much helpless even though they are educated. You just think growing young ones especially boys are getting a bad message that they are superior to female and they can do anything with them. Actually they are also giving bad portrayal of men too.

I agree with you to a certain extent, as in, its true, that for the sake of TRP the creative are showing stupid things like Educated and forward thinking girls like Sia listening to the worst possible blind beliefs, i really hope they stop this stupid track because its just insulting to the intelligent viewer.

But its not true that in India all girls and boys are treated the same, did you know that every 87 minutes some one in India commits suicide due to dowry issues. There are a lot of injustice against the girl child, people are so poor in some areas that they sell their kidneys for 4000, 5000 ruppies at the black market. The conditions are much worse than what is shown. I know colors is running behind the TRP game and showing stupid tracks.

But its also true that, colors is first and foremost a business. so when they want to earn profits they would obviously turn to tracks which would go down well with the general audience. its a very small niche market who would be willing to watch just plain documentary like shows where people are suffering for ever, to make a daily show, they need to have these twists and turns, otherwise they will have to shut down their station.

I hope creative's maintain a good balance in the show in the future without showing stupid tracks which even the most non intelligent person would find offensive.

If they only mean about TRPs and business then they can show so many other shows by avoiding the name women empowerment if they really mean it then they have to show successful stories of educated girls and a society showing respect to them, this will compel others to educate their girl child. Here they are showing the sufferings faced by an educated girl for protesting against evils. This is not the right way of showing women empowerment.

I totally agreed with u rechup & prem , all the serials start with high intensity , strong characters , and with a promise to give message to the society ............... but at the end of the day they just becomes crap and the original message which was promised is lost .............. in the same sake of TRP ......... here it was promised that ...........

A drama that focuses on a social evil prevalent in the Indian society, Na Aana Is Des Laado is a thought provoking show that talks about the evil practice of female infanticide in our country. A gripping story with a serious message, this show is sure to touch some hearts and hopefully stop parents from engaging in this heinous crime. .......

The character of SIA was introduced as an educated strong lady who tries to work for the rights of womans in veerpur ...but see what happens to her character ........always crying and talking only to herself about the mission and doing nothing to achieve that .............. I am not against RAGHAV & SIA 's marriage track which was recently showed ....but if Sia could have make the efforts to stop the marriage the true message should have been given -that is about woman's right .........but as shown in the track she was all dependent on her husband to stop the marriage .......

In the name sake of TRP they play with the nature of the character--- Sia is lost some where ..... If they have shown RaSia's marriage track use it to give the original message which was intended ....... education changes the thinking of the persons , gives them a wide view , but here being an educated woman she is not using her brain and believing on the superstitions
....

I just want both Raghav & Sia join their hands and fight for injustice on the woman's of veerpur .... and let the educated viewer's like us get a breath of relief...😆 .

I would have taken the story line of Ladoo completely differently.
I would have shown Sia walk off the house the day she realizes Raghav and Ammaji cheated her after marriage. Here her fathers role is not correct. He is a doctor but telling his daughter to go back to her husband who cheated her. Only poor and uneducated who are desperate and fear society backlash will advise such things.
Sia should have ideally returned to her fathers house and set up a school facing opposition from Ammaji. Then they should have shown that Raghav slowly falling in love with her and respecting her stand and finally joining her in the fight. Then they should show rest of family like Sheela, Jhumar and Dheeraj, Avataar and Chanda and finally Santosh joining them. This is a better story line.
Now they have spoiled Sia's charachter to such an extent that even if her track is corrected we will not be able to believe. Instead they have through out shown Rgahav and Sheela to be very strong in their views. So they should ideally make them champions in the cause to fight injustice with Sia supporting them which will be more convincing.

I am happy with the current track showing in NAIDL . This was the right track needed to achieve the aim of women empowerment. The credit goes to NATIONAL WOMEN'S COMMISSION who opposed the previous story line and sent notice to the channel. Now they are showing the track of educating girls.
