Shankar Mahadevan: Breathless and Taaray Zameen Par are my most favourites out of his large collection of great songs..
Breathless is truly an amazing song for me, it tells us of what great caliber Shankar ji is.. and Taaray Zameen Par, touches my heart with its soulful lyrics and innocent music, it makes me love the little darling kids 😊.. and Maa, Sapno Se Bharay Naina, and Tere Naina..are also songs that i loveee a lottt

Himesh Reshammiya: Yeh Tera Mera Milna is an amazing number by HR for me, great lyrics and wonderful music..

Shaan Mukherjee: Behti Hawa Sa Tha Wo and Mussu Mussu Haasi are my most favourites from Shaan's melodic collection..
Behti Hawa Sa Tha Wo is a song which i can relate to myself and my friends, and it gives me a motivation to enjoy each and every moment of life no matter what happens.. Mussu Mussu Haasi is a sweet innocent love song, i love its soft tempo.

Shreya Ghoshal: its difficult to pick, but i love Zoobi Doobi a lot and Chann Chann (from Munnabhai MBBS)... Zoobi Doobi is a song that i can listen for hours and hours, love the naughty style in it and it depicts my sentiments towards life, so i love it a llottt... and Chann Chann is the first song which i heard of Shreya and it made me fall in love with her innocent, pure voice.

Mohit Chauhan: Tum Se Hi undoubtedly is my favourite.. a passionate expression of remembrance.. have listened to it a lottt and keep on loving it more and more

Mika Mehndi: Mauja Hi Mauja, ofcourse! and i also like Hadippa by Mika... the reason is that both are good up-beat songs, they motivate you to jump up.. and i love to listen to them esp when i am in a low mood.

Shankar Mahadevan: My favorite song of shankar is not a hindi song. its a tamil song from the muvi Kandukondein kandukondein.. "yenna solli pokirai.."

and other than that i like "sapnom se bhare naina.." , "meri maa.." and "rindposhmal.."(mission kashmir)...many more..

Shaan Mukherjee: It got to be "jab se tere naina.." and then.."Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh", "Dono Nibhayein Apna Dharam..","Kuch Kum..","Hey Shona..","My Dil Goes Mmmm..""Musu Musu Hasi"..

Shreya Ghoshal:Again my fav song of shreya is not from hindi..Its from a malayalam movie called BigB..song is "vidaparayukayaano..".. and then many more to the list..its like the list is endless.. so many songs like.. "Bairi piya.."Yeh Ishq Hai ", "Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai..", "Munbe Vaa.. (Sillunu Oru Kaadhal)", "Teri Ore ..", "Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai .."

Mohit Chauhan:most of them are my favourites..but the best fr me is "yeh dooriyaan.." then there is "Tune Jo Na Kaha","Pehli Baar Mohabaat..","Kuch Khaas..","Masakali" , "Khoon Chala.. "

Himesh Reshammiya:Mainly Prefer his music direction.. like tere naam, dashavathar etc.. as a singer i like Jhalak dikhlaja.. and ashiq banaya apne..

Mika Mehndi: Fav is always. "mauja hi mauja.."..then i like bamulaiza from Dedhana dhan.."Dil Mein Baji Guitar" ..and latest one.."ibn batuta.."

Also would like to add the eternal maa song...what a composition and lyrics and singing!!esp when it goes jhoola jhulaatey hain maa...uff....

Since the topic starter asked for singing, i added these, if it comes to compositions, i will add many more to Shankar and Himesh

Tanhaayi to Shankar(&ehsaan&loy) and Himesh Reshammiya's compositions - cant remember the words its a nice song picturised on priyanka, kareena and akshay....some party mein....it was a simple song n was nice to hear amidst noisy songs....where priyanka keeps trying to pataaofy akshay and kareena finally gets it n sings final stanza....sorry i guess i got very descriptive....

Yup, Maa is a one of the most sentimental songs ever written.. You can definitely add compositions if you like, the main aim is to share your favourites with others.

I can't get that song which you are describing.. the only song which is coming in my mind is 'Tanhaai' (composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy) for the film Dil Chahta Hai pictured on Aamir Khan in Sydney.

oh sorry...i minced Himesh Reshammiya (not literally) from the sentence , hence u didnt get what i was trying to say.....

the song i got descriptive abt is a composition of himesh....shankar's tanhayi is ofcourse a beautiful one....

okay.. now i get you.. the song where himesh sings in a high pitch: "Tanhaaiyaan"... yes its a nice song..
