Rehmaan was simply out of this world. He possesses amazing singing skills. Raja and Vineet also sang very well today. But what about the rest of the event today? I wish Shreya had sung a bit more and as per songs of her choice. Unfortunately, a musical event comprising singers par excellence was hijacked by the presence of a superstar. Is this a programme on music or promotion of films? I hate such shameless publicity.

It is a paradox that poor medleys by both sides ended up getting such high scores (49.4 and 47.7). I feel that it was unnecessary to sing average quality songs from SRK's films only. Shreya's medley was nowhere close to her team's potential. But Himesh simply indulged in cacophony during the medley. Himesh's behaviour today in the beginning degenerated from being rude (as he always is) to outright uncouth and stupid. I am convinced now that he can only sing his nasal tone songs and nothing else. He just doesn't have the voice and skill for it.

By the way, I do need some responses on crass commercialisation of MKMM by these actors and actresses and pathetic medleyes today. Just try and recall the solo bit Himesh tried to sing towards the end of medley (Tum Paas Aye Kyun Muskaraye). Wasn't he simply screeching in the hope of glory? There is another intriguing aspect that I noticed. Himesh definitely knew (before announcement of results) that he had won today. Otherwise an ill-tempered person like him ould have been howling away instead of congratulating Shreya. Himesh, who can threaten the compere with beating him up, can definitely not keep cool at the threat of being ousted from the competition. WAS IT ALL FIXED JUST TO KEEP HIMESH IN GOOD HUMOUR?

Himesh won and Shreya lost. Isn't that disappointing? Shreya is an outstanding singer but today she was lack luster as she was conspicuously keeping away from taking lead to bridge the gap in the initial rounds. Sometimes, I find Shreya, Shankar and Shaan way above this competition which has unfortunately off late been focussing more on verbal duels leading to shouting by likes of Mika and Himesh. I wanted Himesh to lose simply because he is so impudent, insolent and arrogant. Otherwise too, he is an average singer. By the way, Shreya won two national awards for singing today in the 56th National Film Awards (best female singer for 2 non-Hindi songs). Hariharan was adjudged best male singer. Just google for the details.

Agree, suprising to see the poor quality of singing today except few ESP medley was horrible.. Never liked himesh much coz of bad attitude but today he was sounding worst ever.. Only uplift was srk n despo act to make show lively but he was too much attimes .. Sometimes feels like they take ppl for fools when they do these convinent publicity only when movie relesse.. Mmkm n guests all have bussiness motive in public appearences..

No. Shreya is not out of the competition. I am sure she will beat Mika unless the next even also gets stolen away by some 'celebrities' and she doesn't get freedom to choose the right songs.

Shreya is a much better singer than Himesh, and a much more decent personality

Only her captaincy is worse- she is not utisling Aneek properly, nor she does motivate all of them equally

Himesh's team is better than Shreya's I guess

Only I also wanted Shreya to win as she is way better than Himesh

She won national Award fro a movie in Benagli I guess

I somewhat agree with you, Minty. But I was told that as per the revised rules, the same singer has to perform from either side in first 3 rounds. This is why she might have chosen Abhas. Well said Sanjg. The medleys were horrible, they were all over the place and not creative at all. Very disappointed in the janta's voting, Shreya's team barely sang different songs and most of the team members weren't even singing because they would either start dancing or grabbing SRK. So, they would miss the words. Raja and Vineet were good, but Himesh ruined the songs he sang (I don't know what the janta was thinking) also the medley was a little better than Shreya's but still sucked.

Overall, I think this match should've been a tie because it was not very entertaining and the singing was pretty low key. Props to Rehman and Raja.
