I agree with u Susan n Purva...could have been scripted...
but I distinctly heard Ameya after his perf. with his team saying 'yeh toh khunnas nikal raha hain'

for channels it's not abt music anymore, just money for which they need higher TRPs, for which they need wider audience not necessarily a music-loving one....so befitting the dumbing down of the media in general, n popular tastes in music in particular, n stakes being too high, we have this distasteful drama

wow! Ameya Date singing 'raag marwa' in SRGM with Sonu Nigam as host. I didnt even know he'd participated in SRGM or II.....just saw him on JJWS n MKMM.
Sadly, i've never watched SRGM live from earlier days except a few perfs. on you tube.

During early years the judges were never pouplar singers or even popular music directors, they were either classical mastros or very accomplished music directors. During that time we never saw singers "performing" while singing. Anyone remember Mohammed Vakil. I think he was the most promising singer I had heard on the whole show. This I am saying in spite of hearing Kunal, Sunidhi and Shreya in the Sa Re Ga Ma shows.
