It's definitely not a stupid song. If you can, please try and find the lyrics of the song and then comment since you don't seem to realize the significance it(lyrics of the song) holds to the punjabis.

I have nothing against punjabi's. All I meant that I do not like the tune. Did not mean to hurt anyone. Sorry for this.

That fight was really disgusting. Too personal, lagta hai ki mika ke personal life mein hamesha problems hi problems rahi hai ya phir woh Rakhi Sawant ke rejection ka gham abhi bhi bula nahi paya hai.😡

He should be ousted and replaced by some other mentor.

I think Mika was paid the least amount, so he is angry with the rest.
Himesh got the most so he has nothing to quarrel about.😆

i didn't think Mika was that bad or disgusting ON the show... after Toshi sang, the judges could have just given him the points without trying to provoke Mika by asking if he wanted points based on the performance or the singing etc

like srsly, there were worse singers on the show and they never made a big deal... i thought the panel of judges (barring the hat dude) were just trying to pick on Mika ...

and Shaan isn't any super human that he is always right and can't be angered..

Mika is sitting there undeservingly in the first place and as the proverb goes, empty vessels make more noise....Mika is just proving that.
For me Shankar is the most equipped on that platform and then Shaan, Shreya, Himesh and then Mohit and then Mika. I simply cannot believe that a maker like Gajji has stooped to these levels to sustain his production house and the show!! He was the same person who made a show like TVS Sa Re Ga Ma with Sonu two decades ago!! Those videos when watched even today give an adrenalin rush!! what singing and quality!! I am happy that he atleast did not compromise on quality of singing in participants on the show. He seems to be giving in to these dramas and TRP science to be in the business!!
God Bless!! but I seriously have no iota of respect for this muhphat and worthless idiot sitting on dias there. He simply isnt worth it!!

I really don't get it. If he sings Singh is King one more time, I'm going to smack him. And he needs to learn some manners or something, that guy is trippin'.

You are intelligent and on this forum for quite some time but I think you are forgetting all this drama of Mika is for TRP purposes. When I saw Mika's name I already knew he was hired to create drama (which he is good at that) to increase the trp. If Mika did not do that nobody would be discussing about it all over the forum.

I don't mean to be rude, but this comment was unncessary. There is nothing in disliking "Singh Is King" that is against Punjabis.

"Hain ek color ke tera patte, lekin in mein bas ek king.
Ace bhi hum hain, base bhi hum hain, aur jigar mein hain daring.
Hum, hum kare dil ki jo marzi, karte karte bas hadh kar di,
Dil agar sacha ho rab sab karde setting....
Singh is King, Singh is King, Singh is King......."

Replace Singh with Wazir, Khalil, etc., it becomes a song about a Pathan/Pukhtun. Replace it with a Patel, it becomes about a Gujarati. Please tell me what in this song is so significant to a Punjabi?

well i would agree with you that there is nothing in disliking the song which is against punjabis. but saying the song is stupid and disliking it...there is a difference, at least for me. well everyone has their own opinions regarding everything and i didn't think the song was stupid and sorry, but i don't think the comment was unnecessary. Isn't this site made for people to voice out their opinions?? anyway, back to you question with what in this song is so significant. you've just picked out a few sentences from the song and look at these few lines:

Singh surmaie, rakh de ne aan,
Agar lorh payi te de denge jaan,
Raje maharaje vi kar desi maan,
Rakhde si pag unchi, bande di shaan..

Jo singha ne kithiyan kurbaaniyan ne,
Who duniya pe chad gayi nishaniyan ne,
Duniya de ban gaye singh badshah,
Par sabto uncha, oh sacha badshah..

these above lines hold the most significance since for years we've witnessed punjabis being made fun of in the movies and this movie was made to show the world of their strengths and what they've given the nation. the movie as well as the song was made to convince the sardars to uphold their culture and tradition. now a days people aren't as devoted to the culture and take wrong paths and through this movie and song, they try to send a message to the community to uphold their culture and traditions and to be proud of it. and coming to your speculation that the song can be over anyone, well if it was over a hindu or even someone significant, yes the song would still be significant for them and i am pretty sure that a comment like "stupid song" would anger some people out there!
