Rare Himesh compositions in WELCOME

Composer, singer and successful actor, Himesh has now become a rare commodity, by his own choice. The first Indian rockstar (after AAP KA SURROOR) has reportedly decided to compose music only for the films that he stars in. And there are three upcoming projects, as per the media.

However, diehard fans of Himesh need not despair, as they do not have to wait long for his next audio album. As per our music based sources, Himesh's next album will hit the sales counters very soon. Just to elaborate, Himesh is one of the two composers in Firoz Nadiadwala's Christmas week release, WELCOME. Himesh has for company the underrated Anand Raj Anand.

Just to recollect, the Anees Bazmee directed WELCOME stars top names from the past and present and the lineup consists of Feroze Khan, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and the current comedy king Akshay Kumar, along with Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat.

Asha - Himesh: controversy again


sha Bhosle's recent tirade to certain television channels against Himesh Reshammiya's version of Mehbooba that she recorded for Aap Kaa Surroor - The Moviee has flummoxed the composer, who assumed that the faux pas he had made over R.D.Burman was water under the bridge and that Asha had recorded the remixed R.D.Burman song in this film precisely for that reason.
Says the composer, " I do not want to comment and fuel more misunderstandings. I have given my official quote and all I can say is that she had appreciated my version that I also sang with her." Interestingly, it was reported some months back that Asha was keen on Himesh for her album Asha & Friends but had to abandon the idea because of objections from T-Series.

Himesh Reshammiya's tour of South Africa

Himesh Reshammiya is literally going places these days.

Satish Kaushik will be directing him in the remake of Karz . Kaushik says, "I'm in Kenya right now scouting locations for Karz. From here I will go to South Africa and see some more locations. And I'm going to attend Himesh's live concert too.

I will take the story from the backdrop of Ooty to the exotic locales of South Africa and Kenya." Will the film be exactly like Subhash Ghai's film? "No, I will give it a different twists, I won't focus on the reincarnation theory so much. Himesh will be playing a rockstar in the film.

Right now, he is recording his songs," he informs and also confirms that Urmila Matondkar has been signed to play Simi Garewal's role in the film "Yes, she has been finalised after lots of deliberation.

She's the right choice to play the mysterious woman in the film," he says.
