Do you like how Himesh Reshamiya sings??? why or why not??? (sorry...if there is already a topic for this...when i tried to search and see it said there wasnt..😛)

Hmmm...I will most likely get bashed for saying this, but I don't like it when he attempts high-pitched Sufi vocals because he inevitably acquires a nasal tone, which sounds very...unpleasant.

I heard one of his songs in "Banaras" which was pretty good as it was non-nasal.

But, that being said, his high-pitched songs (such as Aashiq banaya aapne, Aap ki kashish, Tera Suroor) are well liked by the majority, which is why they can be heard everywhere.

T. i totally agree with you about high-pitched vocals.. I dont think in every song he has to start with such high pitch.....its more like screaming...now not all songs. There are some songs I really like but not "all" is what I mean.

ummm... i know I would not dare say this in music corner 😆 but I am not that big fan of him. 😕

I am sick of his songs and his constant appearence on TV.Dont like his songs to top it he compares his nasal voice with Nusrat Fateh Khan. My God!

Ok well being his number one fan on the whole of IF I think I have a reason to reply to this topic...😳

Firstly his surname is Reshammiya 😳 sorry but it just irrtates me when people spell it wrong always...

Secondly, I really do love his style of singing & his music because he is doing something "different" & he is very unique as he doesn't sound like any other singer. He has created his own niche & I think that is why he is so popular w/many youngsters today. To sum him up in 3 words, I always call him, consistent, melodious & versatile...

He is a classically trained singer (whether you all believe this or not) but just because he doesn't sing or give classical music hamesha (remember, he can only give the type of music that the movie requires) doesn't mean that he can't do it (ref. Tere Naam & Banaras)

I'd just like to add that he is not forcing any of you to buy his music or watch him on the TV or listen to him on the radio - you all have the choice to change the TV channel & radio station...

I respect the fact that you are HR's biggest fan. I think this topic is just not debatable. We can have views about our "pasand" "na-pasand" but each music director, singer, actor and their talent are not debatable issues. It depends upon each person. Beauty lies in eye of beholder. And I don't think I should bash on some singer just becuase I don't like it. I think it's just a matter of choice so to be frank this is not even a debatable issue.

himesh has an unique voice and unique personality not to mention unique style of music. do i like his music...yes and no...it depends on individual compositions. His high pitch songs are very popular and honestly they are not easy to sing...they require a very long range in voice. What i like about his music is that he has got foot tapping beats , they are very memorable and he likes to experiment. however contrary to the common opinion , i found his music in album" aap ka suroor" very repetitive. all songs sounded more or less same when it came to arrangements and general tone. while this is not unusual, i expected more from him.as for his voice being similar to that of nusrat,i think that it is very different and he makes good use of his nasal voice in his music.

I really like the way Himeshji sings 👏 He does have a unique voice which makes you immediately know it's him who's singing. I personally feel that his songs do sound nice and they have it's own touch 😊

Par I do agree with Sowmyaa here, this topic is really not debateable at all as we all have a different taste na 😉
