Vikraman and A R Rahman to Strike

After Priyamana Thozhi, vikraman is said to come back to do a film for Lakshmi movie makers banner. the director known to use popular faces like sarath kumar, vijayakanth, madhavan etc. is now going to use only new faces. The highlight of the movie will be music by AR Rahman. It is usually S.A. Rajkumar for most of Vikraman's works. The two had last joined for Pudhiya Mannargal .With the two bigwigs joining expectations are sure to rise.

Rehman is back

He made swashbuckling music in Tamil and Hindi cinema. His forays into British film and chamber music won him international recognition and it seemed as if he had almost bid goodbye to home turf. Not the one to forget the sights and sounds of his homeland, Rehman is busy with his next Tamil film, which has Surya in the lead. It is called Jillendru Oru Kaadhal. He has already recorded two songs for the film. Hope the film will turn out to be the best offering for the audience this year.

A R Rehman goes the full mile in bollywood

A.R. Rehman is the music director of the much hyped Mangal Pandey- The Rising, starring Aamir Khan which has an international opening today. The music is extremely good and evokes emotions of empathy and nationalism. His forthcoming film is called Kazan. It is said to be a sex and crime thriller directed and produced by Tanveer Ahmed. Almost eighty percent of the shooting is over. Three new girls make their debut in this film.

Shankar ropes in A R Rahman for Sivaji

Shankar and A.R. Rahman have been a potent combination giving wonderful music for great films. All their seven

projects together have been box office hits. In the recent Anniyan, Harris Jayaraj was the composer. Although the songs did well, the background score did not jell well with the movie and was not much appreciated by the audience. Therefore, Shankar is interested in bringing Rahman back with the Rajini film, Sivaji. Rahman has already scored music for Rajini's Muthu, Padayappa and Baba. Since the songs of these films were chart toppers, Rajini is also keen that Rahman should compose the music for Sivaji.

Jodha is a known fact for all of us. This movie has got A.R.Rehman for scoring the music. Rehman gave an open speech that he will no more work for period films. But he has been booked for this movie and the movie has got 12 songs. Then what motivated Rehman to score the music for this movie? It was because of the long lasting relations with Ashutosh. The duo has already given two super hits such as Lagaan and Swades. So, they want the songs for this movie to come out well.
