the junta of Ahmedabad( gujarat ) speak on Himeshji's ghost controversy
Is the controversy surrounding Himesh Reshammiya's song spreading superstition?

It is not possible to call a ghost just by singing a film song. It is just a made up story.
Ihshita Mehta l 24 l Executive

Such controversies ignite superstition in minds of people. People should avoid spreading such rumours. Jatin Joshi l 22 l Executive

It is a very strange way of scarring people. Such stories unnecessarily create havoc.
Riddhi Bhimani l 24 l Executive

'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen' - Music video watch
<>document.write('Exclusive by Joginder Tuteja, ') Exclusive by Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, June 03, 2006]

Firoz Nadiadwala is one film maker who is always known for his lavish production values, multiple stars and last but not the least, at least a couple of 'item numbers' that are exotically shot and mostly comprise of 'phoren' babes with 'apna' heroes. In recent past he has done that in 'Hera Pheri', 'Awara Paagal Deewana' and 'Deewana Huye Paagal'. And if this was not enough, even in 'Aan', that was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, who is famous for his realistic approach to film making, he ensured that there were at least two item/dance numbers incorporated in the narrative.

But with 'Phire Hera Pheri', he plays it a little different as he moves on with the times. No, it's not that he has come out of his fascination for item songs. It's just that he has given it a different flavor, look and feel to it!

Lay out the red carpet for one of the funniest comic numbers ever shot for a Hindi film - 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen'!

Sung and composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the opening 3 words are borrowed from the namesake classic in 'Waqt' but the remaining lyrics along with the music is completely different....and interesting!

Imagine the frustation of Baburao [Parsh Rawal] as he sees his entire gang of friends and foes gearing up to sing and dance for the next performance of 'Dhoom Dhaka orchestra' but choose to ignore him and that too in a BIG way? Everyone from Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty to Sharat Saxena gives him a cold shoulder as they get ready to wear their 'chatak-matak' attire for their performance. Insult to the injury comes when Johny Lever first [mistakingly] hands him the clothes that were originally meant for Rimmi Sen and then to keep him away from cribbing, he brings out a jumbo size collar bow with polka prints. Bewildered by the very thought of wearing just a bow, Baburao seekes revenge....and how!

And to think of it, so far this was just a prelude with the song still to begin!

Cut to the 'desi' stage that has been created with shades of all white and pink. Akshay Kumar and Suneil Shetty share a mike as they sing the opening lines while having a small little tiff within them, only to settle down as a team in a matter of few seconds. And guess what, both of them wear white colored 3 piece suits, pink frills and big brown shades! Imagine their look as they try to be as serious and hep as the banner of 'dhoom dhadaka' looms large in the background.

This is not all as each of the male leads are accompanied by Bipasha Basu and Rimmi Sen who stand on their either sides and appear as bimbo'n'cute'n'barbie-like as possible. While Bipasha chooses to wear a short pink skirt and a white top, Rimmi chooses a denim mini. With delicate body moments to suit the mood of the song and the characters they enact, the two ladies [who act and look like teenage girls in the video] sway mischievously to the foot tapping tune to make for an eye candy moment.

Also starring in the video are Sharat Saxena [who plays the drum master], Johney Lever [who plays a yellow colored guitar], Suresh Menon and Sunil Pal [who play guitarists], while Rajpal Yadav gets behind the keyboard. And all these 9 characters appear in one single frame wearing whites and pinks, only to be joined by the 10th - BABURAO!

Wearing the gifted polka bow on his neck, he appears in a trademark torn vest and a lungi with big round high power glasses. His manner of taking revenge? Do whatever it takes to disturb the 'dhhom dhadaka' orchestra, even if that means whistling in the ears of the lead singers, interfering with the guitars, plugging away the wire from the keyboard, coming too close to comfort to the leading ladies or to play it simple by just snatching away the mikes!

No wonder, it's time for mayhem to begin even as Himesh Reshammiya's catchy song continues to play in the background. Milind Gunaji, looking each bit a local 'neta', waves on the screen for a few seconds, Manoj Joshi shows his teeth in split second frame while body builders dressed in black kurtas try throwing away Paresh Rawal from the screen.

The culmination of the song comes when none other than KING KONG😆😆 arrives on the screen as Baburao uses him to his full advantage by first irritating the beast and then pinches him in the bottom to provoke him into creating a riot. Things go topsy turvy, blows fly, punches exchange and finally Baburao declares him as the winner with his parting slogan 'JAI MAHARASHTRA'!

The music video works in a big way with every age group and should be a strong reason for people to flock this Neeraj Vora directed film that comes on 9th June!
