Appa Saheb tells Gauri that they had deliberately kept her away from the family as they believe in 'kundlis' and 'nakshatra' and it was predicted that Gauri would be safe only if she is away from her family. For Gauri is too much to digest but there is little that she can do. Appa Saheb calls Pratap and yells at him for being so careless and not being able to keep tab on her daughter. Pratap and Ashwini are tensed so as to what will happen if Gauri would come to know that truth. Back in India everyone is told not to tell Gauri anything. However it's Sumitra, Appa Saheb's sister, prays to Amba Bai that let the truth finally be unveiled.

Appa Saheb is worried as Gauri is here for two days and its Susheel's shraadh. Who is this Susheel and why is Appa Saheb so worried? We build intrigue. However to Appa Saheb's relief, Gauri tells him that he wants to go back home in a day itself. Appa Saheb then asks all Gauri's cousins to make her see Kolhapur and buy her gifts. Gauri and her cousins have a great time and as they are returning they meet Garv Deshmukh. Gauri and Garv have a huge argument and this leaves both thinking.

Back home as Gauri is packing her bags, she finds her passport missing. How will she go back now? There is pandemonium. Everyone is worried except Sumitra who has actually hid the passport. Back in London, Ashwini and Pratap are worried, as they fear that if in these ten days Gauri would come to know that truth then it may be possible that she may never be back. Appa Saheb is very angry and we get to know that it would take minimum ten days for Gauri's new passport to arrive. At night Gauri is talking to Siddharth and suddenly she hears the same 'lori' that she has been humming since childhood. She is excited and looks around. We build intrigue.Gauri asks who was singing the lori, Aaji tells Gauri that this is something every mother sings for her child in Kolhapur. On the other hand one gets to know that Appa Saheb is hiding something. What is he trying to protect and why is he lying to Gauri, only time will tell. Appa Saheb is in a fix but manages to send Gauri away to Mumbai to complete the formalities for her new passport. Rajendra's shraad is conducted. As Gauri is traveling to passport office with Jairaj they come across Appa Saheb's party office and get to see Garv and his entourage damaging things in the office. Jairaj and Gauri try and call home to inform them, but all in vein. Both Gauri and Jairaj are forced to return and Gauri gets a shock of her life as she gets to know that she is not Pratap and Ashwini's daughter, but Rajendra and Prateeksha's child.
