Deven becomes a doodhwala!
TNN | Mar 16, 2011, 12.00am ISTThe residents of Gangaram Godbole Sahkari Bank colony are in for a real treat. After giving out loans to people, the bank is in a fix as they are unable to recover the money in stipulated time period.
Mrs Tendulkar aka Deven Bhojani gives the idea of recovering the money in kind instead of cash. For example, if a loan has been taken by an istriwala, he could repay some amount of it by giving the society an iron.
Some of the materials collected by the society members turn out to be quite interesting. For one of the items collected, 'Gauri' the buffalo is also left behind. Suhas decides to utilise the buffalo in the best way possible... by using its milk and distributing it to the entire society.
Says Deven, "You often see something like this in movies and say it can't be very difficult. I was very scared to milk the buffalo initially, but then I learnt a few tricks and got to milk it. It was great fun, just the way they do it in villages or in movies."
