I started with this show last day. Kind of binged it and came here to see if the show is getting enough buzz.

I’m loving the FL👏 finally a headstrong FL character and I mean headstrong in a true sense! After Damini from Luv ne mila di jodi, for me she’s the definition of a true FL who knows how to stand up for herself! Hopefully, they won’t butcher her to redeem the ML in the future.

Arman is a A1 manipulator. As far as his reformation is concerned, there’s a good chance of that if we go by the usual bad boy to good boy itv history😆

Atm idk whether I want him to reform or her to leave him after teaching him a much needed lesson.Whatever it is, I’m game.

Since he’s a product of his upbringing, there’s a good chance of him mending his ways once he realises things but that realisation,like Neha said in her comment, should come before he does something unforgivable. Again I hope that realisation/reformation comes without hampering the FL’s character in the slightest.

So far, cvs are doing a good job with it so I’m hopeful.

Good assessment of the FL. In fact I think she is a character who knows which fights she must fight and which she can let go. That makes her quite relatable.

Armaan's bad boy persona is related to his ideology and his mindset. I don't know if this is something that can change easily. I am really eager to know what the show has planned for us on this...like his change if at all he will or can change.

True that!! And I always like it that she straightway asks him whenever she has questions. Case in point, when she asked him about the writer's name to him even when he tried to brush her off saying he's tired and they will talk about it later.😎👍🏼

I think he has it in him to change for the better. If Raghav Rao could be redeemed successfully after all the things he did to pallavi, Arman too can. He hasn't done anything drastic as such for now. Let's see how they gonna proceed with him. For now, I'm loving the FL more than the ML here, which is very rare for me😆

I really want to know why Armaan picked Saumya...the qualities he saw in her which would make a perfect wife in his eyes were also there in that other girl he got engaged to. If it is because of the perverse desire of taking a girl with an independent mind, aspiration and then mould her into his slave, then Saumya certainly poses a challenge. As you said, she is direct in her approach. Very difficult to play mind games for long with someone who believes in open communication.

Due to work pressure, I haven't been watching the past few days episodes...will binge watch in the Poila Boishakh weekend.

This show is very well written. Simply the writing itself is enough to draw you in. And then toh the plot! And I am right there with you about the loving FL more! Haha! In fact I really hate Armaan because I think a lot of men in real life are like him...not the tv drama exaggerated parts but the general mindset. Also at the honeymoon his insecurity really comes across.. I want to see him change...because for all his mind games, i keep feeling he is a very weak guy precisely because of his mindset.

Oh and will write to you about RR soon. I toh didn't watch it at the time when you and Rishu were starting the thirst gang. I watched parts of the show only a little while ago and am now totally ....(more on this later elsewhere)

Oh I haven’t seen the marriage parts. Just skimmed through them. I assumed he married her to get his hands on her script without hampering his reputation😆 It could very well be @b as well.

It is the best show on air now I think. The FL also has self respect and don’t get easily manipulated or starts self doubting coz of the ML. From time to time Sony brings unique stories.👏

I think they surely will reform character of Armaan like all other ITV dramas but it will not happen soon.They will show Saumya being stupid and get in lovey dovey talk of Armaan then he will take revenge of his insult from her. He will betry her or give divorce by humiliating her. After this Saumya will disappear from whole earth, he will realize He is love with her. Then some Kabir singh Drama will happen with some new female character.

At last it will end with song It's my Family.

Armaan gave her a lift and while talking to her realised she was quite a selfless, simple, caring and considerate sort of girl. Later I think he also saw her being self sacrificing at this party. Everyone was expecting him to propose to Saumya's cousin at the time but he decided to propose to her instead. And he had no intention of having her write for the drama. Even now he was forced to do so because the channel head wanted Saumya to do it and then he used his name so that Saumya can be forced out of writing. He fully believes any good writer can take Saumya's place as he told her while shouting at her. He wants to crush her dream and make her into another Sushma, the basturd.

Sony does have a fresh take on things.

And yeahh.. hehe...this weekend come to the place. RR bug has got me goood!

Saumya has already been through that phase of being stupidly loveydovey! 🤣those scenes were truly intolerable!!! Armaan needs to be sent to some therapy and mental readjustment and ideology correctional home to get his mind out of his pichwara.

Armaan's love is all about how Saumya can be good to him. It is all about what she brings to him and his family. He loves her in the only way he can which is by loving himself. If Saumya gives into a Kabir Sigh version of Armaan, that will destroy this show. I know judging by itv standards we shouldn't have our hopes up, but still want the writers to do a tolerable job of bringing punishment on the heads of men of the Oberoi household!

@b yeah I know. Since her story was progressive enough and he was sure ki it will take him to beer heights as it will go with his made up image of a progressive man if he produced/written it himself. And knowing Saumya he probably thought ki she won’t let him take the credit or steal and so he hitched the plan of getting to married to her and doing whatever he’s trying to do now. That was my initial assumption but now I’m confused if he actually liked her initially??🤓

Armaan belongs to that quite common breed of male humanoids who believe female humanoids exist for the sole purpose of pleasing, helping, taking care of and serving men. So yes, Armaan did like Saumya. He was attracted to her. But, he is incapable of loving someone for their sake. His attraction, love, liking (whatever we may call it) for Saumya revolved around the idea that she will make the perfect wife for him. So to turn her into that perfect wife, he will have to cut away all those parts of her personality which make her who she is. He wants a Stepford Wife but at the same time he was attracted to Saumya and wants Saumya's version of the Stepford Wife.

It is all very twisted and boils down to the fact that his male ego and insecurity make him incapable of toot kar pyaar karna..

Oh boy this Arman has got me confused now. @b what qualities made him think that tho? I’ve not seen before marriage wala parts so I’m kinda lost here. I’m assuming she was the same self back then as well? Someone who doesn’t bow down to him or anyone for that matter and is very ambitious and gives it back to everyone who wrongs her, right? Then what made him attracted to her such personality? 😕 Unless it was all physical attraction?
