Jimmy Sheirgill was to make his debut on TV, but last minute he changed his mind. "Well, I almost did the show," he tells us. "It was a bi-weekly show which would have small stories every month and the role that was offered to me was quite interesting. I was to play a conman and had about three to four look changes. The only problem was adjusting my dates. The dates they needed were already committed to a film that I'm doing. So fortunately or unfortunately, inspite of liking the role, I couldn't do it!"
Jimmy has been offered reality shows in the past but he was never tempted to take up any. This one particularly interested him because it was a challenging role and he would get to experiment with different get-ups for the same. "I even suggested they make a movie out of it, but I guess they too had commitments with the channel," he says.
As of now, TV seems out for the actor. At the moment it's films only. Along with Hindi movies, he also makes it a point to do at least one Punjabi film a year as it is an "emotional market" for him. "I try and do things that excite me. As an actor if I feel it's the right thing and the right time to do it, then I do it. So, if I find something exciting and good on TV and I have the time for it, I would for sure do it," he says.
