@jyoti - i m not saying tht he shudnt be in luv wit kranti b4 knowing the face of goras ........u can b in luv with a person even if ur ideologies dun match .........thts wat passion and attraction and emotions all bout!! my point is .......tht he shudnt go aginst his stand of being with britishers cuz of tht nite cuz tht nite and his ideologies r 2 diff things!!

Well all I can agree on is that she is on an emotional roller-coaster ride and is high on it. 😕 Since her childhood, K has never had any physical manifestation of love from anybody (though Nirmal and Mamaji does seem to love her). But yes, she never had anybody to call her own. I guess she developed a hard exterior to cover all the hurt inside 😔 and just like any normal person, she is also weak to stupid connivance sometimes.

At present, she is highly aware of R's presence and is trying to glean information about him. Maybe she wants to make sure that she hates him for a reason and the reason is true. After giving herself up at that moment to her husband, she is in a dilemma. And she probably doesn't know what to do, maybe for the first time in her life. 😕 And it's pretty scary for her.

The significance of love hasn't been there in her life till now and she has gone through all the emotions but love - love for someone else. Of course, she loves her Motherland and is willing to give up her life for her country, but nothing still beats the feeling of being loved by the very person whom she considers her nemesis. She is weak now and I feel, it's more of hatred for herself than R only. She is afraid now where the path will lead to and all these confusions are playing havoc with her senses.

She needs love and empathy, not sympathy. That's why she has been opening upto Chaijee - the love in a Mother's touch will maybe heal her to some extent and see for herslef, how things stand.
