Guys I beg to differ a little here. If you recall at the time of Tauji's hanging Raj was convinced that he is a criminal and had immense faith in the justice system of britishers. He felt bad as he got a to listen some sermons about tauji and seeing krantis plight after his death. My be he thought that even kranti does not know his true colors.
Here his faith is shaken a bit reason being that he knows that he is fighting a false case. But then that taklu has cinvinced him that SS is bad for the society and though he knows that he has not killed that inspector still he is a KK and is working againt the gov. And above all he is fighting for a purpose however wrong it may be ( His dads RB ship) Yes he is being mean. And when he is the court he is there for a purpose that is to win the case. And his act in the court was very convincing as a lawyer. As thats their job to keep their feelings at bay and fight for the case (belonging to a family having too many of them I can say for sure.)
And yes about his feelings for kranti he is been realising that she has suffered a lot and he knows that it is due to him. But he is confused about why it all happened when he didnt mean to hurt her. lets see what happens next. He is already trotting on the guilt lane.

Woww So manyy Opinions😆😕
Ok heres ,my POV
I think Raj is fighting with two personalities in his body now😆..One personality is feeling sorry for Kranti's condition and wants to help her out😳 but the other personallity is stopping him from doing so because it is madly in love with his father's prestige and so that defines his mean behaviour in the court without any guilt😕..
But on a side note I still hv doubts regarding Raj's loyalty for the britishers because remember it was the first day in the court and Raj needed to prove his loyalty towards the British Government in front of that Takla who was sitting in the same court😃...If he had shown his guilt or hesitense during the proceedings then of course Takla would hv disowned him at that time only😆...So Raj had to b at his meanest best that time...but in the precap he only suggests this idea of shifting that officer's hiding place to the Takla😉...My question is Why ??😕..Does he really think that KKs know about his hiding place ??😕..I don't think Raj is that dumb and couldn't even understand what these KKs or Kranti is upto and that they r just trying to throw stones in the air😆...Raj is definitely taking the Takla community on a merry-go-round trip this time😆...Even if Raj is not taking them..Kranti is definitely taking his hubby to his destruction trip..😃😭
I agree with my twinnie Sam here😆...Raj is just trying to provoke the KKs by telling those extremely harsh words against Satnaam Singh in the court..for a simple reason that they really fasten up with their searching mission😳..he might b helping out Kranti secretly without letting her know😳

Real Raj? Numes there is no Real Raj. He's a total fake. That's why he's a Rat. And right now he's scampered into his hole. He's heartless, unfeeling, unscrupulous and revolting. 🤢
Of course my beautiful dreamers have a different theory and are hopelessly devoted to him. Sighhhhhhhhhhh!!

i agree there is no consistency in Raj's character. at night he was full of remorse after seeing those injury marks on kranti's back and again next morning he was the vicious lawyer. well....this trend is always seen in serials unlike movies.

but i think there is an explanation behind this. i am sure he is trying to win the confidence of the British but eventually he will in an underhand way help the krantikaris so that they can bring Louis to the court.

Nice to see your post An ...............
Agree with you the creatives are messing up big time here ....... especially with Satnaam's character and the KKs activities .......
I still feel Raj is upto to something .............which is why we are seeing the split personality ...........
It's like he has separated his personal and professional lives ..........
He feels Kranti's pain ......... Realises he is to blame in some way for her suffering .........
His faith in the British has recd a jolt ........
He seems to be goading the KKs in every which way ......... his harsh words in court .......... his taunting Kranti at every given chance ..........
It looks like his going to make the Takla trip and fall on his face, at the same time distancing himself from the outcome of the case ...........
He may tell takla something like "We tried our best ..... but the KKs are very smart .........."
And for the past few episode now I too feel Kranti's dialog delivery needs some improvement ........... Her statements kind of fall flat sometimes ............ No change of expressions at all ........ But i love her in the emotional scenes ..........
Raj is getting better with his expressions & dialog delivery .........
Agree with Dew ............ his getting ready for the case was great to watch .........

Completely the fault of creatives that they have not given a proper shape to this character.

Thank you so much ... 😃
This doesnt excuse Raj's behaviour, but An, did you see the imbecile today? It was as if they had canned one shot of his, a stupid, perplexed look, and they were flashing it at regular intervals. Or that guy had the same look thruout the scene. Whatever !!

I agree to that. And, the whole court scene was not shot properly... is it production ka problem, even the dadi of the lawyer looked so fake... that I felt like pulling it.

Yes, Raj looks the devil incarnate, lying thru his front teeth, but that maybe coz he doesnt have any sentimental attachment to SS, the way he had with Taujee (same applies to us also).. over a period of time ,he had interacted repeatedly with taujee, and most importatntly, he had seen Kranti's bonding with him. And he knew he was leading an innocent man to the gallows...here, he never has come face to face with SS.. there is no emotional thread, so maybe its easier.

I have no problem with him being devilish and having that mean bone, but one of the grudges he has against kks is that they kill innocent people. Isn't he doing the same? And, then boast that I always side with the truth. This is where I do not like what the creatives are doing. Do not give him contradictory dialogues, if he is mean and devilish ... let him be the cruelest one. (Gives me plenty of ammunition 😉)

What you said about the emotional thread, that is a neat observation, and I agree to that. But, I have more problem with all this confusion. This character is no longer shrouded in mystry and the more we know him, the more confusing it's getting.

Also agree, Kranti needs to add more variety to her expressions..Raj has a more well defined palette.. whther its quiet, or snobbish, or angry, or shy, he does them all well. Kranti is over expressive most of the time. ( But love her when she breaks down..natural there)

She is natural when she cries and is sad. But, when she is talking ... whether lecturing R or having a lovely conversation with her MIL, she has the same way of delivering her dialogues. I feel like -- uchak-uchak ke she is mouthing her dialogues 😆😆😆 hoping, you are getting what I mean.
Coming to this, I loved Raj today, when he was home, getting ready for the case, confident, smug, but a little wary of Kranti's unasked attention. Also, loved his first stirring of conscience at night, when he saw the scars.

I loved the night scene ... the darkness, and the man standing and pondering on what he has done, but again I feel, creatives could have added more punch. In the end, R does not go a little deeper ...

yaar after seeing aaj ki episode this is how i feel..
raaj trying to move that gora knowing very well ke krantikaris have no guess where the inspector is....indicates he playing double game..
he provoked the opposite side lawyer...and looked really uncomfortable which was too over the top...as if giving other lawyer clue that he knows this is fake case and he is nervous...
then suggesting to taklu ke they may be at fault...i feel he will make this case void...soemhow but wont let kranti know he helped her and taklu wont know either..rest only god can tell..and about me and jyoiti ya we indeed r best buddies as we r both suckers at romance and we both love rude arrogant handsome men.....😳

Sameera 😃 ... if he is really playing a double game, I am gonna pull all my hair... 😆😆😆, but do not think he is ... he wants to win, you can tell that from the conversation he had with his father. For Rai Bahaduri and also to be in the good books of ... he will do anything.

But, I may be wrong too ... 😊
