CHAPTER - 24
[ 1 MONTH LATER ]
The video game whose software was given by Mayank and Nupur to a company,that company produced the video game with Mayank's name.When the video game was released in the market,it became an instant hit as it was different from the conventional games which was produced at that time.Within 1 month it was a blockbuster and the company even sold it abroad.The company made a huge profit with that game and according to the contract,the company gave Mayank 20% of the whole profit that is about Rs 5 laakh.When Mayank received the cheque,his happiness had no limits.At first,he shared that news with Nupur.He was so excited that,before giving Nupur the good news,he picked her up in his arms by her waist and was very delighted.Nupur screamed to leave her and put her down.He put her down on the ground and Nupur asked,"Aakhir baat kya hai jo itna khush nazar aa rahe ho?"Mayank replied,"Khush hone ki hi to baat hai na,tumhe pata hai vo jo video game tha na jo humne us company ko diya tha,vo video game na cha gaya pura ka pura aur us video game ke vajah se us compny ko bohot profit hua hai aur pata hai un logo ne mujhe kitne paise diye hai?"Mayank showed her the cheque and said,"Guess what!!!Its 5 laakhs!!Can you believe it??Itne paise to main ek party mein hi ura deta hu aur dekho itne paise kamaane mein mujhe kitni mehnat karni pari hai."Nupur replied,"Ab pata chala,ke tum jo paise bina soche yuhi kharch kar dete ho,unhe kamaane mein bhaiya aur papaji ko kitni mehnat karni parti hai."Mayank nodded his head.He said,"Abse main kabhi bhi bina soche samjhe paise kharch nehi karunga."Nupur became very happy on hearing him.She said,"Chalo,ye paise jaakar hum ye paise tumhaare account mein transfer karwa dete hai."He said,"Vo main karwa lunga."She nodded her head and replied,"No!!Bilkul nehi!!Tum kabhi na kabhi apni khud ki company kholne ja rahe ho,to tumhe to pata hona chahiye na ke sab kuch kaise hota hai."He said,"Par mujhe ye sab nehi pata hai,aaj tak kabhi main bank mein gaya bhi nehi hu."She said,"Main hu na don't worry.Chalo tum mere saath."Nupur and Mayank both got ready and left for the bank.
In the bank,Nupur taught Mayank how the works are being performed.When the money was being transferred to Mayank's account,he asked them to transfer half of the money to Nupur's account.Nupur was surprised and asked,"Aadhe paise mujhe kyu?"He replied,"Idea to tumhaara hi tha na,maine to bas banaya hai."Nupur said,"Ha to mehnat to tumhaari hai."He replied,"Paise to tumhaare vajah se hi mile hai na."Nupur was about to say something when Mayank stopped him and said,"Ab chup raho aur kuch mat bolo.Na tumhaara na mera,hum dono ka.Maine mehnat ki aur tumne mujhe idea diya to isiliye paise hum dono ke.Tum meri wife ho na matlab better half,to iska matlab hai jo mera hai,vo tumhaara bhi hua,to ye aadhe paise tumhaare huye,jaise mere company ke liye ye paise zaruri hai,tumhaare liye bhi zaruri hai na tum bhi to apna resort banana chahti ho."Nupur,at last agreed and half of the money was transferred to her account.While returning home,Mayank asked,"Par isse pehle mujhe tumhe party deni hai na jaisa ki maine kaha tha."She said,"Par usse pehle tumhe zarurat hai ke tum apne in paiso se gharwaalo ke liye kuch na kuch kharido,socho unhe kitna achcha lagega."Mayank said,"Thik kaha tumne chalo,hum dono sabke liye shopping karte hai."Nupur and Mayank then went for shopping for the whole family.After shopping,Nupur asked,"Mayank tum kuch bhul to nehi rahe ho?"He confusingly asked,"Kya bhul raha hu,sabke liye hi to gift liya hai?"Nupur replied,"Tumne sabke liye liya jo already ghr mein hai,par tum uske baare mein bhul gaye jo is duniya mein aanewaala hai.Tum bhaiya aur didi ke honewaale bachche ke baare mein kaise bhul sakte ho?"He bit his tongue and then immediately rushed to the kids section.But on reaching there,he was confused about what to buy since he didn't know that whether the baby would be boy or a girl.When he shared his confusion with Nupur,she suggested him to buy those things which can be useful for both a baby boy and baby girl.After purchasing gifts for the baby,while returning home,Mayank appreciated her intelligence and said,"Tumhe to bachcho ke baare mein kaafi experience hai."She replied,"Kyuki mere ghar mein mera ek bhatija bhi hai aur vaise bhi larkiyo ka dimaag aise maamlo zyaada chalta hai."He gave a sound of applause and then left for home with her.
At home,when Mayank gave the good news to his family,everyone were very happy for him.Maadhvi kissed on his forehead and said,"Mera beta...aakhirkaar mera beta zimmedaar ban hi gaya."Payal said,"Dekha maine kaha tha na ke mera Mayank ek din zarur zimmedaar banega aur dekh jaisa ke usne mujhse waada kiya tha usne vo waada pura bhi kiya.Isi khushi mein abhi jaakar kuch meetha banaakar sabka muh meetha karwaati hu."Maadhvi and Nupur stopped her and asked her not to give a single step towards the kitchen.Maadhvi told Nupur,"Chal Nupur aaj main tujhe custard banana sikhati hu,Mayank ko bohot pasand aata hai."Nupur nodded her head and then left towards the kitchen with Maadhvi.At night,when everyone were sleeping,Mayank called Nupur up.With sleepy eyes,Nupur got up and asked,"Kya hua Mayank,itni raat ko kyu bula rahe ho?"He said,"Arey baba utho to sahi."She said,"Par kyu aakhir baat kya hai?"He asked,"Mere saath long drive par chalogi?"He remained stunned and then looked outside the window followed by the clock.She looked at the time and asked him,"Aadhi ko raat ko long drive??Are you out of your mind??"He smiled and replied,"Drive to aadhi raat ko hi jaate hai na Mrs Diwan."She said,"Par mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai."He started pulling her hand and said,"Nehi chalo abhi!!Sone ke liye puri zindagi pari hui hai.Chalo!!"Nupur said,"Kamsekam mujhe kapre to badalne do."He said,"Itni raat ko tumhe koi nehi dekhega,jaisi ho,vaisi hi raho aur abhi chalo."He pulled her out of the bedroom.They moved in a tip-toe step ut of the house and after getting out,he started the car and asked Nupur to open the gate.When she opened the gate,he got out of the gate and Nupur after secretly closing the gate,got inside the car and they left.
Mayank drove as fast as he could on getting the road clear and Nupur,on the other side was enjoying the cold air that was blowing her hair.On seing her smiling,Mayank asked,"To kaisa lag raha hai?"She happily replied,"Bohot achcha.Vaise achaanak yu long drive par jaane ki kya sujhi?"He said,"Saare couples isi time par jaate hai long drive par.Yaha abhi tum jaha bhi dekhogi sirf couples hi couples honge."Nupur really found soem bikes and cars being driven in the same speed as theirs and they found some couples who were riding a bike,were sitting very close to each other and were enjoying their ride.Nupur asked,"Par mujhe aise hi car ke andar bethe rehna achcha nehi lag raha hai.Kahi car roko na."He asked,"Par kaha?"She said,"Dekho na kahi koi dhaaba ya chaat waala hai ya nehi.Bohot teekha aur khatta khaane ka mann ho raha hai."On hearing that Nupur wanted to eat something sour and spicy,Mayank had an evil thought in his mind and he asked,"Tumhe khatta khaane ka mann ho raha hai?"She nodded her head.He happily exclaimed,"Really!!!Main sach mein baap banne waala hu!!!Main tumhe keh raha hu Nupur mujhe apne jaisa handsome and intelligent beta chahiye,tumhaare jaisi nakchari aur jhagraalu beti nehi."Nupur punched on his arm and said,"Bohot mazaak sujh raha hai,hai na?Agar itna hi baap banne ka shaukh hai na to dusri shaadi karlo jaakar.Huh!!"Nupur turned her face away and Mayank replied,"Ek shaadi hi jheli nehi ja rahi hai aur upar se dusri shaadi??Mera dimaag abhi tak kharaab nehi hua hai."Nupur taunted,"Aur baaki hi kya reh gaya hai kharaab hone ko?Abhi to tumhaare saath rehnewaalo ka dimaag kharaab hota hai."He replied,"Tumhaara to already pehle se hi hai."Nupur glared at him and he immediately corrected,"Tabhi to hum ek saath hai na,isiliye to hamaari banti hai.Hai na?"By that time,they reached a dhaba and on getting there,Mayank ordered some spicy food for Nupur.While they were waiting for their order to be served,he asked,"Ghar mein to abhi abhi khaana khaaya tha na,phir se dhaabe ka khaana kyu khaana hai?"Nupur excitedly replied,"Ye jo dhaabe ka khaana hai na,itn yummy hota hai ke main tumhe kya bataau.Is khaane ke liye,main to kuch bhi kar sakti hu aur phir mera pet chahe kitna bhi bhara hua kyu na ho,dhaabe ke khaane ke liye,mere pet mein hamesha jagah rehta hai."When the food was served,the server girl asked,"Tussi log naye naye pyar vich pare ho?"Mayank replied,"Nehi main iska pati hu aur ye meri biwi,4 mahine ho gaye hai hamaari shaadi ko."The girl giggled and replied,"Rab aap dono ki jodi hamesha sawaar kar rakkhe."Nupur,with a happy face was eating her food.She even offered Mayank some,but he denied and said,"Na na main ye teekha aur upar se raste ka khaana nehi kha sakta."Nupur narrowed her eyes angrily and said,"Asli khaane ka swaad agar chahiye na to yaha ka khaana aur raste mein jo thele lagte hai waha se khaao,tab tumhe pata chalega.Par filhaal lagta hai ke mujhe tumhe insaan banana hi parega."She forcefully fed him and he after eating found the food to be very tasty and so he demanded another plate of the food.After completing their food,Mayank licked his fingers and said,"Sach mein yaha ka khaana bohot yummy hai.Main to har hafte aakar yaha khaane waala hu."Nupur replied,"Huh!!Agar main nehi hoti to tumhe to kabhi pata bhi nehi chalta.Khair!!Abhi chalo jaakar bill dekar aao,phir hume ghar bhi jaana hai."When Mayank was going to pay the bill,he got to know that he left his wallet at home.He informed that to Nupur and she replied,"Mujhe pata tha ke tum bharose ke laayak nehi ho,isiliye main apna purse apne saath laayi thi."She took out a small purse from the pocket of her nightsuit and then paid the bil.She later on taunted him of taking a girl outside at night and not having money in the pocket.They returned to the car and got ready to go home.When they got inside,Mayank tried to start the car,but it didn't.Nupur asked,"Car to start nehi ho rahi hai ab kya karna hai?"He replied,"Main bahaar jaakar dekhta hu ke kya hua hai."He got outside and found that the engine was still too hot to start.He said,"Nupur tum andar betho main paani ka intezaam karke aata hu."She stopped him and said,"Nehi yaha aise itni raat ko mujhe yu sadak par akela chorkar tum kahi nehi jaane waale.Betho yaha aur agar chalna hi hai to main tumhaare saath chalungi."He replied,"Thik hai to tum bhi chalo kyuki yaha aise bethe rehne se kuch nehi hoga."Mayank picked up a can and started walking towards some way with Nupur.
While they were going in search for water they started talking among themselves,but after sometime,they realized that they lost the way and came somewhere else.She looked around and found that they were all alone in there.She said,"Pata nehi hum kaha aa chuke hai.Mujhe kuch thik nehi lag raha hai.Bohot ajeeb si ghabraahat ho rahi hai."Mayank teased,"Kyu tumhe dar lag raha hai kya?"Nupur felt as if her legs were slowly becoming very heavy and so she sat down on the road.He was worried thinking that she was not feeling well.He sat beside her and put his hand on her shoulder and asked,"Kya baat hai?"She replied,"Main thak gayi hu main aur nehi chal sakti."He said,"Par jabtak hum aagey nehi jaayenge,hume paani kaise milega?Hume jaana to parega na."But Nupur was unable to walk more.So Mayank picked her up in his arms and started walking again.They almost reached the forest and then found a small lake in there.He put her down and filled up water in the can.After that,he sat beside Nupur and said,"Abhi hum shaayad itni dur aa chuke hai ke itni raat ko car tak pohochna naamumkin hai aur upar se hum apna mobile bhi nehi laaye."Nupur leaned on some tree and said,"Pata hai mujhe na akelepan se bohot dar lagta hai.Bachpan mein ek baar washroom mein lock ho gayi thi.Bohot der se chilla rahi thi par koi nehi tha sunne waala.Main itna dar gayi thi ke main uswaqt kya karu mujhe yehi samajhme nehi aa raha tha.Mera dam ghut raha tha aur ek waqt mein to mujhe aisa laga ke main shaayad waha hamesha ke liye qaid ho jaaungi aur kabhi bahaar nehi nikal paaungi.Par phir maine dekha ke koi darwaaza khol raha hai aur maine dekha ke waha papa khare hai.Main unko dekh kar unke taraf daur kar gayi aur unhone mujhe apne gale laga liya.I was so scared at that time.Hamesha se hi mere papa mujhe sabse zyaada pyar karte hai,ma bhi karti hai,par unko hamesha duniyadaari ki parvaah zyaada hoti hai,par papa,unke liye sorf main important hu aur meri khushi hi unke liye sabse zyaada maayne rakhti hai."Mayank asked,"Tab to tumhaare papa ko ye shaadi bilkul bhi manzur nehi hui hogi,hai na?"She nodded her head and replied,"Ha nehi thi,par meri ma...unhone to kasam khaayi thi ke vo meri shaadi tumhi se hi karvaayenge aur ab ho bhi gayi."He smiled and said,"Chalo is shaadi se kamsekam mujhe ek faayda to hua,jo baat kabhi kisike dimaag mein nehi aayi vo tumhaare dimaag mein aayi aur dekho aaj mujhe apni khud ki company shuru karne ke liye kisise loan lene ki shaayad zarurat hi nehi paregi."He then looked at her and asked,"Achcha kya tumhe kabhi kisise pyar hua hai?Phir tumhe shaadi se itni nafrat kyu hai?"She said,"Nehi!!Kabhi nehi hua,par man shaadi se isliye parhez nehi hai kyuki main love marriage karna chahti hu ya phir mujhe pyar mein dhokha mila hai,par shaadi ke baad shaayad main vo sab kuch nehi kar paau jo main karna chahti hu,kyuki har sasural tumhaare ghar jaisa nehi hota aur sahib hi to hai,kisi ajnabee ko khud ko saupne se pehle usse pyar hona bohot zaruri hota hai aur insaan ko bina samjhe aur jaane pyar nehi kar sakti.Par tum shaadi se kyu bhaagte ho?"He took a deep breath and replied,"Kyuki mere liye shaadi matlab responsibilities jiske liye main tayyar nehi hu.Main pehle apni zindagi puri tarah se jeena chahta hu aur jaisa ke tmne kaha ke kisi bhi ajnabee ko khud ko saupne se pehle usse pyar hona bohot zaruri hota hai thik vaise hi aajtak mujhe koi mila hi nehi jisey milkar aisa lag eke main uske liye apni puri zindagi de sakta hu."They remained silent for sometime.Nupur started feeling a litte bit cold and seeing her shivering,he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.She too squeezed herself inside his arms to remain warm.Mayank felt that he had never been so close to any woman,of course in his senses.In an husky voice,he asked,"Ek sawaal puchu?Tum bura to nehi maanogi?"She nodded her head.He asked,"Agar baaki 8 mahino mein tumhe mujhse pyar ho jaaye to,kya tab bhi tum chali jaaogi??"She replied,"Tum rokoge to nehi jaaungi."She then asked,"Main tumse ek sawaal puchu?"He accepted.She asked,"Agar agle 8 mahino mein tumhe mujhse pyar ho gaya to?"He replied,"To main sabse pehle us contract ko phaar dunga."Both had a laugh and then Mayank said,"Main aaj se pehle kisi larki se itna close nehi hua tha.Ha vaise ye baat bhi sahi hai ke ye actually pehli baar nehi hai and my bad ke main uswaqt hosh mein nehi tha."He looked meaningfully at Nupur and she was very embarrassed remembering that night in their honeymoon trip.He suddenly turned her face towards her and asked,"Kya us raat maine tumhe kiss kiya tha?"She replied,"Pata nehi."He asked,"Kya main ek baar koshish karu?"She didn't reply as she was totally lost in his eyes.Taking that as a silent acceptance,he kissed her.
