Nupur was deeply hurt and disturbed with Mayank's words of ignorance about their love.For that reason and unexpected beahavior of him,Nupur didn't talk properly with anyone and she talked as much as less she could with Mayank.One day,Mayank was working on someting in his laptop but all his attention was on Nupur.He,with lots of difficulties,somehow said,"Uh Nupur...mujhe tumse kuch baate karni thi.Actually bohot dino se karne ki koshish kar raha tha par.Main kahu?"Nupur raised her face and looked upto him and asked,"Agar permission na du to kya tum baat nehi karoge?"He shook his shoulder and replied,"Nehi aisi baat nehi hai,bas yuhi kehne mein bohot ajeeb lag raha hai."Nupur resumed her work and he continued,"Vo main ye kehna chah raha tha ke ab to main bhi thik ho gaya hu aur upar se 1 saal bhi khatam ho gaya hai to contract ke mutaabik,we should part our ways now."Nupur was putting on the pillow covers and when he uttered those words,the pillow fall from her hands and she looked on.It appeared as if someone had put melting iron in her ears.She stood still and didn't utter anything in reply.Mayank kept on saying whatever he had to say but Nupur was not in that condition to listen to him.She was like in a trauma,after hearing that Mayank wanted her to leave from there,but she didn't know why,she was getting very angry on hearing that even after she knew that she herself signed the contract according to her will.After sometime,Mayank asked,"Hello???Sun rahi ho tum??To kab jaane ka plan hai?"Nupur was raging with anger.She threw the pillow and turned towards Mayank and asked,"Kyu???Kyu jaau main???Kyu jaau yaha se??Contract sign kiya isiliye chali jaau??Tumhaare liye shaadi ek khel hai,mazaak hai?Kisike feelings ki koi kadar bhi nehi hai kya tumhe?"Mayank was confused listening to her and asked,"What the hell are you talking about Nupur??Kya ho kya gaya hai tumhe?Hum dono ne hi to tey kiya tha na ke ek saal baad hum apne apne raaste nikal jaayenge to ab achaanak kya ho gaya?"Nupur pushed Mayank away from her and said,"Nehi jaaungi main!!Kahi bhi nehi jaaungi main!!Shaadi karke yaha aayi hu,bhaga kar nehi laaye the tum mujhe.Bhaar mein jaaye ye contract!!"He,too became very angry on her and replied,"Nupur hosh mein aao lagta hai ke tum apna hosh kho chuki ho.You are out of your mind."Nupur yelled and cried,"Ha ha main hosh mein nehi hu aur mujhe aana bhi nehi hai hosh mein.Main nehi jaaungi yaha se.Main yaha sabse kitna pyar karti hu,sab mujhse kitna pyar karte hai,main sabka dil torkar yu nehi jaaungi yaha se.Ye ghar jitna tumhaara hai,utna mera bhi hai.Tumhe pata bhi hai dono ghar ke logo ko ye baat janne ke baad kitni taklif hogi?Mere papa to toot jaayenge ye sunne ke baad,main aisa risk nehi le sakti."Mayank replied,"To ye baat tumhe contract sign karne se pehle sochni chahiye thi.Maine tumhe force to nehi kiya tha na?Main manta hu ke hum dono ke beech mein kuch aise pal huye hai jinhe hum nakaar nehi sakte hai par iska matlab ye to nehi hai ke us vajah se hum dono apni puri zindagi is bojh ko lekar beeta de.At least I can't Nupur."She wiped her tears and replied,"Bhaar mein jaao tum!!Bhaar mein jaaye tumhaara contract!!Bhaar mein jaaye sab kuch,main yaha se kahi bhi nehi hilne waali hu samajh gaye tum?"She left from there in rage and then Mayank,out of anger broke the vase by throwing it on the floor.

After that incident,both Nupur and Mayank totally stopped talking with each other and behaved totally like strangers.Mayank was so upset that he decided to talk this matter with Sanjay.One day,Nupur's father,Ashok came to their home and informed them that Uday's marriage has been fixed and within one month there will be engagement.He requested them to send Nupur home during the ceremony.Maadhvi said,"Kaisi baate kar rahe hai aap bhai saab,aapki beti hai,jab chahe aap usey le jaaye par ha jaldi jaldi bhej zarur dena isey,kyuki iske bina yaha ghar bilkul suna par jaata hai."Everyone laughed and Ashok accepted that.Nupur came with a plate of food for her father and he said,"Kitne dino baad dekh raha hu tujhe.Sasuraal aate hi apne papa ko bhul gayi hai kya?Kitne dino se tu waha ghar nehi aayi ha?"Nupur nodded her head and said,"Nehi papa aisa kuch nehi hai,vo babies bohot chote hai na to unki dekh bhaal thori bohot mujhe bhi karni parti hai aur ghar ki responsibilities bhi to hai."Ashok said,"Bari ho gayi hai na bohot tu?Chalo achchi baat hai."Ashok continued talking with Nupur's in-laws and Nupur kept on thinking about Mayank's words.While both Ashok and Nupur were walking out of the house upto his car,Ashok asked,"Beta tu thik to hai na?I mean sab kuch normal hai na?"Nupur came out of her thinkings and replied,"Uh..ha papa sab thik hai.Ghar mein sab mujhse bohot pyar karte hai.Main yaha bohot khush hu."He smiled and patted on his head and got inside his car and said,"Beta ek baat hamesha yaad rakhna ke jab bhi tujhe aisa lage ke tu kisi problem mein hai,to bina kuch soche sabse pehle seedha apne papa ke paas chali aana."Nupur nodded her head and then Ashok left from there.

At night,both Nupur and Mayank were sleeping lying against each other.Mayank thought,"Mujhe lagta hai mujhe baar baar is tarah se Nupur ko force nehi karna chahiye.After all itne dino,ek saal hum sab ek saath reh rahe hai.Usne har kadam par meri madat ki hai.Hum dono ke beech mein bohot kuch aisa hua hai jiske baad koi bhi ladki apne aap ko thopne ki koshish karti hai,par usne kabhi aisa kuch nehi hiya.Usne kabhi mujhe guilty feel nehi karne diya.Mere video game ko kaamyaabi usike vajah se hi mili hai.How can I do this to her?Ek taraf main usey apna dost kehta hu aur dusri taraf...Nehi mujhe aisa nehi karna chahiye uske saath.I should give her some time aur jab uski marzi hoi tabhi vo jaayegi main usey kabhi force nehi karunga.I can't be so selfish.Main kal hi usse baat karunga."On the other side,Nupur,too was thinking,"Main ye kya kar rahi hu aur kyu kar rahi hu?Main Mayank se pyar karti hu ye sach hai par agar badle mein vo mujhse pyar na kare to isme uski koi galti nehi hai na.Mere liye uske dil mein koi feelings nehi jaagi to na sahi.Main uske saath zabardasti to nehi kar sakti hu na.Kya haq hai mera?Khaamakha mein main hum dono ki life complicated bana rahi hu.Vo mera dost hai aur sukoon se jeene ka usey pura haq hai,main uski life ko aur mushkil mein nehi daal sakti.Main kal hi baat karungi use."While saying that she felt like crying and so she took a piece of cloth and came outside in the balcony and sat on the ground.She rethought about her decision and her eyes fall on Mayank who was sleeping without having any tension.At fisrt she cursed herself for falling in love with him.She said,"Maine kyu kiya aisa??Kyu mujhe use pyar hua??Agar aisa nehi kiya hota to shaayad mujhe aaj itne dukh nehi jhelne hote.Meri zindagi aaj meri ek galti ke vajah se kitni complicated ho gayi hai."She covered her mouth with the cloth and cried her heart out remembering the happy days which she spent with Mayank.

Next day,Nupur was going in search for Mayank and he too was going in search for her.Both collided with each other on their way and Nupur was just about to fall,when Mayank held her by her waist and stopped her from falling.She too clutched his shirt and stood by almost hugging him and they both had an eye lock.After a moment,Nupur parted her from him and composed herself and said,"Main tumhe hi dhundhne aa rahi thi achcha hua ke tum yahi mil gaye.Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni thi."Mayank smiled and replied,"Main bhi tumhe hi dhundhne aa raha tha kyuki mujhe bhi tumse kuch baat karni thi."They both went inside their bedroom and then Nupur said,"Main pehle kahungi kyuki ye bohot important hai.Usdin main tumpar chillaayi I know kyuki main bohot upset thi,par ab maine ye decide kiya hai ke main bohot jald hi yaha se chali jaungi don't worry just mujhe shift karne ke liye thora time chahiye."Mayank was surprised on seeing the sudden change in her thinking and asked,"Aise achaanak jaane ka faisla kar liya?I mean..."Nupur smiled broadly and replied,"Ha actually ek good news bhi hai."He asked,"Kaisi good news?"She replied,"Mujhe ek bohot bare resort mein job mil gayi hai as a manager.Vo resort mere ghar ke paas hi hai zyaada dur nehi hai to mujhe zyaada problem bhi nehi hogi.Main isi news ka wait kar rahi thi to bas isi tension mein usdin thori si upset thi."Mayank was really very happy on hearing that news and he said,"Ye to bohot galat baat hai ke ek taraf tum mujhe apna dost kehti ho aur dusre hi taraf tum mujhse ye baat bhi chupaati ho.Vaise kabse join karna hai?"She replied,"Bohot jald par abhitak kuch final nehi hua hai."Mayank hugged her and congratulated her.The moment when they hugged,that moment stopped for Nupur.She slowly raised her hand to hug him back but she stopped herself.She closed her eyes to stop the flow of tears which was getting hard for her to stop and she broke the hug and said,"Achcha achcha bohot ho gaya.Aisa lagta hai jaise aaj hi ja rahi hu."He held her hands and replied,"Tumhe nehi pata hai ke main aaj kitni khush hu.Iam really very happy for you."She nodded her head.At the next moment,Mayank became very tensed and asked,"Par yaha se jaane ke liye tum kya bahaana banaaogi?"She replied,"Don't worry uske liye mere paas ek solid bahaana hai.Papa ne aakar kaha hai na ke Uday bhaiya ki shaadi ke liye main ghar chali jaau,vohi bolkar chali jaaunga phir yaha ka tumhe sambhaalna hai aur waha ka mujhe."Mayank thought for sometime and said,"Mujhe lagta hai ke tumhe yaha kuch din aur ruk jaana chahiye,I mean puri tarah se achche se soch lenge ke kaise kya karna hai."Next whatever Nupur said,though said very casually but there was a lot of mockery,pain and hidden anguish inside them.She said,"Par ab to main yaha ek pal bhi nehi reh sakti hu na Mayank,kyuki yaha rehne ka ab mera koi haq hi nehi hai."He was confused and asked,"Kya matlab?"She replied,"Sach hi to hai na Mayank kyuki hamaari shaadi to contract marriage hai jo ki ek saal pehle khatam ho hi chuki hai.Ab to na tum mere husband ho aur na main tumhaari wife,to tum hi bolo aise bina kisi legal relation ke hum ek saath ek kamre mein kaise aur kabtak rahenge?Bhale hi logo ke nazar mein main hu tumhaari biwi but ye to abs ach nehi hai na."He constantly stared at her and was somewhere hurt by her words,but still with a smile on his lips,said,"Ha right!!Ab to legally hum shaadishuda bhi nehi hai.Thik hai jaisa tum thik samjho.Main filhaal chalta hu."Nupur nodded her head.Both turned against each other with Mayank making a sad face and Nupur silently shedding tears.

Nupur knocked on to Maadhvi's room and seek her permission to enter.Maadhvi said,"Ha beta aa na andar aaja."Nupur came inside and sat on the bed beside Maadhvi.She asked,"Koi zaruri baat karni thi kya tujhe?"Nupur said,"Nehi mummyji zaruri to nehi...bas aise hi mujhe aapse kuch puchna tha."She asked,"Ha puchna."Nupur took some time as she could not form any word about how to ask her about that.Maadhvi was confused and asked,"Baat kya hai bol na?"Nupur somehow composed herself and said,"Vo mummyji...actually bohot dino se to ghar nehi gayi...aur upar se bhaiya ki shaadi bhi hai to agar aap kahe to main kuch din aur jaldi chali jaau to...actually bohot dino se kisi se milna nehi hua hai na isiliye."Maadhvi smiled and held her chin and asked,"Oh to ghar ki yaad aa rahi hai?"Nupur smiled and nodded her head.She said,"Ha thik hai isme puchne waali kaunsi baat hai.Ek mahina pehle hi chali ja aur phir saare rasm nibhaakar araam se waapas aa jaana."In her heart,Nupur said,"Main waapas aane ke liye nehi ja rahi hu mummyji."Nupur smiled and said,"Thank you,main jaakar saara samaan pack kar leti hu."Maadhvi nodded her head and Nupur was about to leave when Maadhvi held her hand from the back and then said,"Thori der beth yaha."Nupur sat again.Maadhvi looked at her intensely and asked,"Tu thik to hai na??I mean tere aur Mayank ke beech mein sab kuch thik to chal raha hai na?Kuch dino pehle maine dekha hai ke tum dono ek dusre se thik se baat bhi nehi kar rahe the so I thought..."Nupur was very terrified thinking Maadhvi might have guessed that something very serious was going in between them,but she immediately composed herself and put a forced smile in her lips and said,"Nehi vo kya hai na ke...thore jhagre ho jaate hai kabhi kabhi to bas aise hi...par ab sab thik hai."Maadhvi smiled and put her hands on Nupur's and said,"Tujhe pata hai maine apni aadhi se zyaada zindagi is ghar ko diya hai.Ghar,bachche aur pati ko sambhaalte sambhaalte kab baalo mein safedi aa gayi pata hi nehi chala.Jab Dhruv bohot chota tha na tab hume business mein kaafi nuksaan pohcha tha,jiske vajah se hume kaafi taklife jhelni pari thi isiliye mera Dhruv bohot kam umar se hi bohot zyaada responsible tha.Jab Mayank paida hua tha tab mujhe uske papa ke saath office jaana parta tha kyuki hamaari company ki kharaab haalat ke vajah se bohot saare staffs ne office chod diya tha sivaay kuch puraane employees ke.Tab Dhruv ghar par beth kar,ghar aur Mayank dono ko sambhaalta tha.Hum aksar der raat ko office se aate the,kabhi kabhi raat bhi wahi bitaani parti thi,tab Dhruv ek taraf Mayank ko sulaata tha aur ek taraf paraai karta tha.Jab Mayank school jaane laga to hamaari haalat dheere dheere sudharne lagi phir bhi humne saare expenses samajhdaari se uthaaye the.Dhruv apne hisse ka maar kar Mayank ki maange puri karta tha par usey kabhi kisi cheez ke liye aajtak do se zyaada teen baar bolni nehi pari.Isi vajah se Mayank Dhruv ke liye bhai kam aur beta zyaada hai.Paiso ki crisis,uske liye karne waale adjustments,compromise,ye sab Mayank ne kabhi dekha hi nehi hai jiske vajah se vo thora spoilt hai aur upar se Payal ka Mayank ke taraf pyar,vo to sab par bhaari hai.Mera Mayank dil ka bura nehi hai Nupur par vo kya hai na,zaruri baate usey samajhme thori der se aati hai.Jo cheez,jis waqt sab se zyaada zaruri hoti hai,vohi vo kabhi nehi kar paata aur tab usey us baat ka ehsaas dilaana parta hai."Nupur listened to Maadhvi very minutely.Maadhvi then said,"Isiliye kabhi agar vo tumhe aisa kuch kehde jo usey nehi kehna chahiye,to please uske baato ka bura mat manna.Thora bewakuf hai aur irresponsible bhi.Jab humne tumhe dekha tha,khaaskar Dhruv ne,usey tum pehli hi nazar mein bohot pasand aayi,usine kaha tha ke dekh lena ye Nupur hi Mayank ko sudhaaregi aur dekho ye sach ho bhi gaya.Aaj Mayank bohot had tak responsible ho gaya hai.Bas..."Maadhvi took her hand in hers and said,"Mujhse ek waada kar ke chahe kuch bhi ho,tu kabhi uska saath nehi chodegi.Waada kar mujhse."Nupur was out of words but still she put her hand on Maadhvi's and nodded her head.

Nupur started packing her luggage slowly.She behaved very nicely with everyone and acted as if she was very happy going home after such a long time but inside her,a storm was raising,a cyclone which had destructed everything inside her and she had nothing left to do or to save anything.She packed her luggage and informed Mayank that she was leaving the next day.Mayank was surprised as she did that so early and asked,"Itni jaldi sab kuch..."She replied,"Jab jaana hi hai to aaj ho ya kal isse kya fark parta hai aur vaise bhi hum dono hi to hamesha se is rishtey se nikalna chahte the na.To ab kya problem hai?"He said,"Ha...problem kuch nehi hai bas itna hi hai ke achaanak se...you know...By the way tumne mom se kya kaha?I mean sach to nehi bataya hoga."She replied,"Ya maine kaha ke main bohot dino se ghar nehi gayi aur upar se bhaiya ki shaadi bhi hai to mom maan gayi.Baaki sab baad mein handle kar lenge."Mayank said,"Thik hai main kal tumhe ghar chod kar aaunga."She rejected her proposal and said,"No no need at all.Vaise ek dusre ka saath jab chod hi rahe hai to,ye formality karne ki kya zarurat hai.I don't need,main chali jaaungi."Mayank accepted and said,"Thik hai jaisa tum chaho,par ek request thi."She asked,"Kya?"He said,"If you don't mind...I mean hum phone par baat ya kabhi kabhi mil to sakte hi hai na."Nupur said,"Ha zarur kyu nehi.Of course we can."Mayank smiled at her and then left from there.

At night,Mayank,while coming home,brought a gift for Nupur and an envelope.She opened the gift and found it was a diamond bracelet.She thanked him for that and asked,"Ye gift kyu achaanak?"He replied,"Ye parting gift hai.Tum jar hi ho phir shaayad main tumhe gift de paau ya na paau."Nupur sarcastically smiled and said,"Rishta khatam hone ke baad formality karke kya faayda Mayank?Just move on in your life.By the way ye envelope kis cheez ke liye?"He replied,"Vo dad ke will ke mutaabik,ek saal tak to humne shaadi nibhaali ab mere hisse ki property mere aur tumhaare beech mein aadha aadha bat jaayega."Nupur remembered about the will and said,"Arey ha wasiyat!!Kitni ajeeb baat hai na,ye kambakht paisa bhi kitni ajeeb cheez hoti hai na kisi ki si ki zindagi tak barbaad ho jaati hai is chakkar mein.Dekho na hum dono ne bhi jhuti shaadi karli is chakkar mein.Khair choro jo beet gaya so beet gaya,puraani baate karke kya faayda."Mayank was about to leave when Nupur said,"Ha Mayank main kal subhe hi yaha se jaane waali hu so please mujhe time se utha dena agar aakh zyaada lag jaaye to."He nodded his head and then left from there.When he went out of sight,Nupur secretly put their marriage photo inside her bag and chained it down.After that her eyes fall on the envelope.Nupur sarcastically picked that up and then threw it somewhere else as it was reminding her about her fake marriage which for some time,thought to be real.She dashed on her bed and remembered her good old days with Mayank.She was shedding tears and then suddenly she wiped them off and said,"Main tumhaari zindagi mein ab kabhi waapas nehi aaungi Mr Mayank Diwan,kabhi bhi nehi.Aaj ki raat tumhaari aur meri ek saath aakhri raat hogi."She opened her wardrobe and took a file and opened it and found their contract marriage papers.Nupur looked at them angrily and then threw the file inside the wardrobe and locked it down.

Next day,early in the morning she woke up and took bath.When Payal came to the prayer room,she found Nupur had already arranged for the puja.On seeing her so early,Payal asked,"Kya baat hai Nupur aaj tu itni subhe subhe uth gayi?"She replied,"Arey nehi didi vo kya hai na aaj to ghar jaana hai na,to socha aaj naha kar subhe ki puja karlu,aap to roz hi karti ho."Payal nodded her head and Nupur went to every room to give aarti to all.When she came to her bedroom,she woke Mayank up and gave her the aarti.He asked,"Kya baat hai aaj tum aarti lekar aayi?"She replied,"Aakhri din hai na aaj mera yaha isliye kar rahi hu.Jaane se pehle bhi I want to feel at home."Mayank got up on the bed and then asked,"Achcha Nupur tum to aise behave kar rahi ho jaise ab tumhe pehle ke tarah is ghar se jaane ke vajah se bilkul bhi bura nehi lag raha hai?"Nupur became very sad for a few minutes and then immediately changed her mood.She said,"Jitni jaldi ho sake situation ko accept karke move on karna hi to samajhdaari hoti hai na.Thats what Iam doing.Ye sab faltu ka rona dhona,isse koi faayda to nehi hone waala hai na."Mayank sadly smiled and then said,"Thik hai tum tayyar ho jaao,naashta karke hi chale jaana."Nupur too smiled back and nodded her head.After having breakfast she slowly returned to her room and got ready to leave.Before leaving the house,she went to the washroom.On entering there,she covered her mouth and then put on the basin water and then started crying.After sometime,Mayank too came there and searched for Nupur but there was no sign of her.He then knocked on the door and on hearing the knock,Nupur immediately wiped off her tears and then sprinkled some water on her face and then rubbed her face with the towel and then came out of the washroom.On seeing him,she asked,"Tum yaha?"He replied,"Tumhe ghar chorne bhale hi na jaau par bahaar tak to chorne ja hi sakta hu na."She agreed and then Mayank picked up her luggage and moved on with Mayank outside.

Nupur pulled her luggage and slowly came out of her room.She stopped at the door and turned to look at it once more.She was getting emotional but her ego came in that way and forcibly locked her emotions inside her heart and she walked forward.After coming out,she took everyones blessings.When she touched Payal's feet,she was weeping.On seeing that,Payal said,"Tu to aise ro rahi hai jaise ke apne sasural ja rahi ho.Kuch hi dino ki to baat hai,jaldi waapas aana vo kya hai na,mere bachcho ko unke chachi ki aadat lag chuki hai."They hugged and she then took Dhruv's blessings but he stopped her and said,"Larkiya per nehi chute hai aur tum to meri partner ho is ghar mein.Hai ki nehi,jaldi aana varna in dono dewar aur bhabhi ke palle parke meri haalat kharaab hone waali hai."Nupur smiled and then took her parents in laws blessings.Each step she kept next,rewinded her memories of entering the house.She kept her step outside the house and was about to fall,but Mayank gave her hand to save her which she rejected and composed herself.After that Mayank walked with her till outside and then when she entered inside the car,Mayank asked,"Will you miss me?"She nodded her head and said,"Nehi!!"She then laughed and said,"Of course I will.Apna khayaal rakhna aur Sanjay ke alava apne un cartoon dosto ke saath zyaada mat ghumna."He nodded his head and said,"Tum bhi apna khayaal rakhna aur vaise bhi shaadi mein to mil hi rahe hai."She nodded her head and then asked the driver to drive off.Both Mayank and Nupur waved their hands towards each other and the car went out of the gate taking Nupur away from home.
