CHAPTER - 15

After spending a romantic and joyful time in their honeymoon,Mayank and Nupur returned to Mumbai.Mayank as usually became busy in his office but he never forgets to spend time with his wife whenever he gets an opportunity.Everyday,Indira cooks food for them but on every Sunday,Mayank cooks food for them.As usual,when the first Sunday arrived after their return,Nupur was sleeping when Mayank woke her up lovingly with a cup of tea in the morning.He kissed on her forehead and said,"Good morning my love."Nupur slowly opened her eyes and on seeing Mayank's face a smile occurred on her face,but she hid it and said,"Not so good morning."Mayank gave a weired 'what-do-you-mean' look.She slowly got up on the bed and sat down properly and then with sleepy eyes,she said,"Ek to Sunday milta hai tumhe Mayank,aaj ka din hota hi hai rest karne ke liye aur isko bhi tum yu ghar mein khaana banaakar waste kar dete ho."Mayank said,"Bhale hi Sunday mere liye hota hai par tumhaare liye to koi Sunday nehi hota hai na,tum to har roz khaana banaati ho,to agar ek din maine bana liya to kya ho gaya.Tumhe pata hai na hamaare ghar mein bhi har Sunday,marde hi khaana banaate hai,aurto ko chutti rehti hai."Nupur said,"Par wahapar dono bhaiya aur papaji milkar office samabhaalte hai aur yaha tum akele,thakaan to ho hi jaati hai na."Mayank said,"Koi baat nehi yaar itni bhi thakaan nehi hoti hai.Ab agar tumne is bare mein mujhe phir se lecture dene ki koshish ki to main tumhaare ma papa ko phone karke bol dunga ke tum meri baat nehi sunti.Ab no more baate,fesh hokar aa jaao,breakfast is ready."Nupur,with an attitude,said,"Aisi dhamkiya ab mujhe dekar koi faayda nehi hoga Mr Mayank Sharma,tum mere ma papa ko bataaoge to main ma aur papaji se bol dungi ke tum meri baat nehi maante aur mujhe pareshaan karte ho."Mayank said,"Ooo to meri bholibhaali biwi,ab phoolan devi ban gayi hai."Nupur said,"Tumhe jo samajhna hai samjho.Jaao abhi main aati hu."Mayank left from there and Nupur went to take bath.

After having breakfast,Mayank was making preparations for lunch.He was cutting the vegetables and Nupur was instructing him what and how to make.At that moment,Mayank's phone rang.He said,"Nupur zara phone to laana."Nupur gave him the phone,without looking at the caller's name.Mayank received the phone.The convo :-

M :- "Hullo."

R :- "Hullo Mayank beta main Raghuveer bol raha hu."

M :- "Arey pranam papaji.Boliye."

On understanding that it was her father,the knife fall from Nupur's hand.Mayank was startled on hearing the sound,but still he continued talking.

R :- "Beta vo uh,mere ek business friend ki beti ki shaadi hai Mumbai mein,to hum aur hamaari puri family aa rahe hai Mumbai.To agar tumhe koi..."

M :- "Arey nehi nehi papaji,kaisi baate kar rahe hai aap.Ye bhi koi puchne waali baat hai kya.Ye aapke bhi to bete ka hi ghar hai."

R :- "Thank you beta.Ye lo Gayatri se baat karo."

He handed over the phone to Gayatri.The convo :-

G :- "Hullo damaadji."

M :- "Pranaam mummyji."

G :- "Kaise hai aap damaadji.Nupur aapka khayaal to rakhti hai na?"

N :- "Ye aap usise hi puch lijiye."

He gave the phone to Nupur,but Nupur didn't want to take it.Mayank covered the phone and said,"Baat karlo Nupur varna rude lagega aur sab kahenge ke maine tumhe tumhaare gharwaalo se baat nehi karwaayi."Nupur was bound to take the phone.She was very scared.The convo :-

N :- "Hu...Hullo."

G :- "Damaadji ka achche se khayaal to rakh rahi hi na?"

N :- "Jjj...Ji."

G :- "Unko kabhi kisi kisam ki shikaayat ka mauka mat dena."

N :- "Jjj...ji."

G :- "Thik hai main abhi phone rakhti hu."

Both cut the call.

Mayank was all the time watching Nupur's reaction.He said,"Nupur tum apne ghar mein ho.Stop being scared!Main samajhta hu sab kuch par is tarah se koi kisise kab tak dar sakta hai.Relax!Main hu na."She asked,"Papa ne kyu phone kiya tha?"Mayank said,"Vo log apne kisi business friend ki shaadi mein Mumbai aa rahe hai,puri family."On hearing this,the dish of vegetables fall from her hand.Mayank picked the vegetables and held Nupur tightly who was about to collapse.He said,"Nupur sambhaalo apne aap ko."Nupur was so scared that she started talking with herself.She said,"Ma,papa,bhaiya,bhabhi sab aa rahe hai...Sab phir se mere saath vaise hi bartaav karenge...Sab mujhpe phir se hukum chalaayenge...Phir se vo sab kuch...Kitni khush thi main yaha...Ab phir se vohi sab shuru hoga...Vo ma aur bhabhi ka daatna,papa aur bhaiya ka..."Mayank shook her and yelled,"Nupur hosh mein aao!Nupur!"His voice,brought Nupur back into the present world.Nupur,on seeing Mayank,hugged him tightly and started crying out of fear.Mayank,lovingly embraced her and asked,"Kya hua Nupur?Kyu ro rahi ho?"She said,"Vo sab yaha aa rahe hai Mayank yaani phir se vo log mere saath bilkul vaise hi pesh aayenge jaise aate rehte the.Mujhe vo sab kuch dubaara se nehi sehna hai Mayank.Please kuch karo."Mayank said,"Vo log yaha kuch hi dino ke liye aa rahe hai Nupur aur agar main unko manaa kar deta,to vo bohot rude lagta na.Dont worry kuch nehi hoga,Uday bhaiya aur Disha bhabhi bhi to honge na,kyu phikar karti ho."He broke the hug and said,"Aur rahi baat unke bartaav ki,to jab tum unke ghar mein ti,unhone apni manmaani ki par ye ghar tumhaara hai.Is ghar ke maalkin ho tum.Koi bhi yuhi tumhaari beizzati nehi kar sakta aur vo bhi tumhaare ghar par."Nupur said,"Par..."Mayank said,"Par var kuch nehi Nupur.Vo log kuch dino ke liye aa rahe hai aur vo bhi tumhaare ghar mein pehli baar.Hume unka swaagat achche se karna chahiye.Baad ki baad mein dekhi jaayegi aur main hu na kyu fikar karti ho."Nupur gave a tensed look.Mayank said,"Ab smile karo,please."Nupur smiled but still her tension didn't leave her side.

[ FEW DAYS LATER ]

Nupur couldn't sleep properly a single night from the day she heard that her family was arriving.On the day of their arrival,Nupur was all tensed and asked Mayank not to go to office.He promised that he would not leave for office and went to the airport to receive them.After they arrived,Nupur welcomed them.All the moment,she had a scared expression on her face by seeing her parents,but as soon as her eyes fall on Uday and Disha,she smiled.She took everyones blessings and pampered Karan a lot.Mayank and Nupur took them to their rooms.After that when they returned to their rooms,Mayank said,"Just relax Nupur!Kuch nehi hoga."Nupur,though nodded her head,but from inside,she was all worried.When the ladies decided to help Nupur in her home in her work,Disha said to both Gayatri and Naina,"Mummyji aur didi,yaha Nupur ke saath badsaluki karne se pehle yaad rakhna ke aap jaha reh rahe hai,ye uska ghar hai aur vo yahaki maalkin,isiliye apni beti ke saath kuch bhi kisam ka bartaav karne se pehle ye yaad rakhna ke vo aapke damaad ki patni hai aur Mayank ko Nupur ke past ke baare mein sab kuch pata hai.Isiliye aisa koi kaam mat karna ke aapko apne hi parivaar ke ek laute damaad ke saamne sharminda hona pare."Gayatri replied,"Mujhe pata hai ke ye Nupur ka ghar hai,tujhe bolne ki zarurat nehi hai aur humne jo kuch bhi uske saath kiya tha vo usiki bhalaai ke liye tha."Disha said,"Please ye baat aap mujhe mat samjhaaiye,maine sab dekha hai."Naina was about to say something but Disha stopped her and asked both of them theat they should go and help Nupur in the kitchen.Gayatri and Naina agreed and they left.
