Sanaya's return

It was pegged as Sanaya Irani's comeback show. But we now hear that Sukirti Kandpal will be the leading lady in Life OK's Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai, Ajab Sa Risk Hai. In the meantime, Sanaya has started shooting for a new show on Sony, which has been tentatively titled Modern Bahu.

Sanaya began shooting for the show on Tuesday, and we got a glimpse of her Indo-western look for the show, a far cry from the traditional costumes and character in her hit show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. "Sanaya has broken away from her previous avatar in this show, and will be seen portraying a very contemporary city girl," said a source.

While Sanaya was unavailable for comment, a source from the show's production house did share this photo with us.

Sukirti confirmed that she had signed on for the Life OK show, but said she couldn't divulge any other details.

Yes Charmee n This character is looking damn interesting...because,Its not a typical Indian 'Adarsh' bahu wala character...😛 n I am very sure that, today's normal/common girls can relate to this character easily n this is the plus point of this show.

yes its not going to be d same old typical bahu kinda character n such show..

ya gals will be able to relate to chanchan n even other audience will enjoy something different from other typical saas-bahu shows...

Supriya Pathak plays a strict disciplinarian

Supriya Pathak will be reprising her Mom Dina Pathak's role in Khoobsurat in the upcoming Optimystix Production's show on Sony Entertainment Television, Modern Bahu.

She will be playing a strict and disciplinarian mother-in-law to SanayaIrani, aka Chanchan, who will get married into a conservative Gujarati family. SupriyaPathak, who was very popular as Hansa in Khichdi, said, "The basic structure of the characters may be the same, but I am trying to make improvisations in it. There are more shades to my character, which will slowly come out. The similarity may stem from the fact that both the characters are normal people, that is, there is no caricature to them. Also discipline is what they believe should be the way of life. Apart from that, the script didn't look like a direct connect when I read the script. She had played it as a normal person, no caricaturenes to it. In all, it is a very interesting character and that is what has attracted me to it. I am very excited about the role."

Deepti Dhyani, who recently tied the knot with popular actor Sooraj Thapar is all set to be seen in Optimystix's Modern Bahoo on Sony Entertainment Television.

Sources inform that Deepti last seen in Kairee- Rishta Khatta Meetha has been signed for Modern Bahoo. She will once again don the role of a daughter-in-law of Supriya Pathak and Anang Desai on the show.

As reported earlier the show is loosely inspired from yesteryear's hit film Khoobsurat and TV actress Sanaya Irani will play Rekha's role on the show.

We tried contacting, Deepti Dhyani but she remained unavailable for comment.
