Shaadi Street
This was the debut serial of Rati Pandey.It was aired on star one channel and was a prime time weekly. It did not run too long but was only 27 episodes older and went off air.
Coming to the concept of the show, "It's a love story set in a street ? a comedy with serious undertones. It has been shot differently on specially constructed sets and there are no heavy background scores that we hear in the usual soaps. It spotlights the lives of people living in the street who also have their shops on the opposite side."The street has all the materials for marriage but nobody in that street gets married apart from few married families staying from ages.
The story majorly revolves round 3 people.Their character sketches and stories are as follows.Nandini (rati) ,Hrishikesh pandey,Manoj Biddvai.(nikhil)
Rati says, "I play the main protagonist Nandini, who's bubbly and chirpy. She also believes in living life on her own conditions. She wants to avenge her father's murder and is in search of the killer."
The plot thickens when Hrishikesh Pandey plays Rati's love interest and later she finds that he's the real murderer. Manoj Biddvai plays the lead in the show and nandini,nikhil will be the couple . Nikhil, who's a fun loving but a straightforward guy living in US. He comes down to India to build a mall cum multiplex and somehow falls in love with Nandini (Rati). Then the love triangle unfolds.".
( The conclusion might be nandini and nikhil as a couple and the other lead going to jail.I am assuming this.)
The concept of the show is really good with some suspense and has comedy and love.Its not a saas bahu saga or a ordinary love story.Donot know why it didn't work.So what I want to say is we can have this show again with changes in story line.More quotient of love & comedy with parallel suspense and drama and ofcourse changes in the male protagonist.We all know who looks perfect to play the love interest of rati in the show and end as a happy couple.
We can request star one channel to bring back that show with the changes we need.What say frnds?
