I like the way you bring in "REAL" issues into "VIRTUAL" ones. Gives me good food for thought.
And yes, wasn't S2 all about SG for the initial two months? So I can say, yes, MN track was wrapped up because of SG. It holds true in many instances. As for the absurdity you've seen, you have no idea what I have been seeing in this forum since the past 1 and a half years. What you've seen is nothing compared to that.
Well, this "your zone" ofcourse is the fault of both fanbases then, right? So since I don't really fit in any particular zone, and have been talking even about SG since the past 1 and a half years, and I will continue to. For I feel, if I'm watching them, I will speak. You don't have fans of a particular film only criticize it, right? Even audience who detested it, have a right to comment. So yes, I choose not to keep off, since I do have my say in what I'd like to do.
It's good to know that I won't hear from you, "DONT quote me!" I have had a couple of those weird remarks, but never bothered to ask why. I don't think there can be any logic to that - perhaps some kind of allergy to being quoted.
I tend to draw on "real" examples to explain "virtual" issues, because it makes it simple and easy to understand. Btw as an inhabitant of the post-modern habitat, you should know that the line between 'representation' and 'reality' has diminished (Please don't mark me down for getting theoretical once again - I seriously can't help it).
I'd disagree that the initial two months were all about SG. In fact, it was more about establishing the new entrants. SG's story just begun coming to the forth in the last bit of the second month and soon reached its climax post Devdas. Logically speaking, a resolution should have followed the climax, but I need not say what happened instead. And thus the complains of SG fans. I don't mind awaiting a proper resolution as long as it is carefully crafted to match the level of the preceding climax. Since the creatives themselves encouraged me to have these high expectations by showing that 'killer' scene, I'll certainly hold them responsible should they dare disappoint me.
What could I say but that I have also suffered. Being a pessimist, I can tell that the 'absurdity' will be around for quite some time. So we're in for more surprises. Acutally not surprises, as I'm now immune to it.
I wont disagree that both sides are to be blamed for the 'zone' partition. Sure, anyone can be critical of anything. But remember there's a thin line between criticizm and mockery. Writing a critique means weighing both advantages and disadvantages. When you begin seeing only negative aspects, then it becomes difficult to say whether you're genuinely criticizing or mocking the piece - this is a general piece of advice, nothing to do with your comments on this thread.
Personally, I don't see your intrusion as a big problem as long as you keep it mature. I was only trying to point out to you why others might have a problem with it, so that you don't think they're being unfair to you even though you aren't violating any rules of the forum. After all, being courteous to the host is not a bad decision on the guest's part.
