EDIT!

For Aankhon Ki Gustakhia!

TO start with, I'd like to tell you, that this is my friend's favourite song. She had coaxed me into liking this. 😆 And then, one day i woke up and I realised, oh wow, this truly is a beautiful song. <3

Firstly I'd like to thank you for both these gifts. These are adorable and would forever stay in my memory. :))

Though for biased reasons, Jaane Ye Kya Hua remains my favourite, I'd say that this one is gorgeous too. :))

For this VM so beautifully highlights that ArTi emoted through their eyes much more than their words and actions. 😍

I love the beginning scene you chose and what caught my attention was the drum roll when Mayank and Samrat enter. That scene is matched so beautifully with the music. <3 and the way he turns around her in "ho aankhon ki.." Sigh.

When the female "aankhon ki" starts and the scene with Nupur in green is so apt..."Tumhe Dekh Ke" when she turns around the pillar.. Awesome. <3

And after these subtle scenes, you go on to choose a light hearted winking scene for aankhon ki..I like the way your mind works. 👏

Then another scene that caught my attention was Mayank pulling her, synonymous to "Palkon ki chilman mein aao tumko chupa loo.." Awesome job at there, di.

And whats this special Mayank smirk at "madhosh ye karti hai" You are not supposed to belnd these scenes that perfectly. There are innocent girls out there, who might just die.😳☺️

Special special mention to the choice of PBM scenes in the last paragraph, which is a little different and deep than the other two of this song. 👏⭐️

You captured every single blush with the perfect lyric, and considering that this song is such a difficult one to make, you have done such amazing justice to this one, honey. I heart it. :))

Love,
Akki. :)

P.s. Moves on to Jaane Ye Kya Hua.. *excited muh.

P.p.s I am sorry for the delay in editing. You see, I just got the PC to myself today.

😊

EDIT

Jaane ye Kya Hua! Sigh.😍

I just got another reason to watch this VM that I have watched countless times already. Sigh. I watched it twice again -- once with the anti glare screen protector and once without it. 😆 Yes, I am crazy. 😆

Ha. I don't know what to say. But, I feel smug that no one actually understands the underlying meaning and the thoughts of this video but me. 😎 And hence, i do believe that no one but me can appreciate this VM the most.

To tell you the truth, this is your best work till date. BEST! This is better than Kuch Toh Hua Hai, you know. That was my abs Fav! But no. This is a true masterpiece. Not that KTHH is any less, but this one's your best.

Heart-O-Dynamics was coined when I was studying Thermodynamics. 😆 Ah, sigh, 🤣"tears of mirth*

You know I am gonna come out of the fan girl phase an give you a "REAL" comment. You already experienced the fan girl screaming and shouting. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

Okay so..*wipes of imaginary lint from my pants and crosses legs*

Fanaa hug has a new meaning for me after this VM, i assure you. Like seriously. I would never be able to see the Fanaa hug again without recalling this scene and you know why this is so special to me. 😳 The music and the first lyrics.."Jaane ye kya hua" and the feelings behind the fanaa hug..I doubt if anything else matches this well. This is sheer perfection. You'd crossed heights in the first scene itself, i wondered (when i watched it for the first time) if the next scenes could even match up to this beauty. [<3] You proved me wrong obviously.

The Fanaa hug depicts the different meanings of the repitition "Jaane ye kya hua" so beautifully. I mean..ah..This is..ah..Sigh! 😍

Half the time I watch this VM, i am so lost in the scenes and their resemblance to you know what, that i fail to catch up with how beautifully the scenes match with the lyrics too. Sigh, i might never be able to show you how much i appreciate this VM! Like the scene outside Nupur's house. Oh, I can see the daze of flooding happiness in their eyes after the fanaa hug...jaane kyun har pal har lamha hai muskura raha...such apt scenes! Have you ever felt that you'd never be able to show someone how much you appreciate their creation?🤔 I feel the same way!! 🤓

I love love the "tumhe hain pata scenes.." Nupur in white, Mayank circling her..Profound thought put behind the mixing here.! 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This whole dream sequence..all the lyrics...they have such beautiful meanings..I swear i wouldn't be able to type out all of those for you. Ah!! And the way the scene ends..to Mayank in red. What fantastic editing!! I ❤️❤️❤️ it!! 😍

The look in Mayank's eyes..when he remembers those incidents of trip fall catch and beach scenes and all..Sigh. I wanna fall in love. (Oh you made me say it! 🤓)

Kahoon kya bhala...tumhi k toh main chahta hoon..😍😍 Can I applaud Arjun here. What expressions man! Okay...stopping myself before I deviate..What scene selection!!!! 😍😍

And the plead in that "tumhe jo mila maine jaana main bhi zinda hoon sunoo" synonymous to the confession scene where Mayank puts forwards a piece of his heart in front of Nupur. I'd say, a sheer genius at thought! (Oh and i just realised the meaning of "tumhe jo mila" for me is even more profound! 😍)

And I see a hopeful ending at "dekho hona hai aur kya" with them holding hands..Whoa! Whoa Whoa! 👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why did this have to get over? That's the only thing i think once this VM gets over everytime i see it!

You are terrific.!!

Sigh. with this I watched the VM again. 😆 My head went on tilting after each scene (until i sprained my neck i.e.) and the dreamy smile on my face widening..😍😍. Thank you for this, di. Dil se thank you. 🤗🤗

Love you!!!!! 🤗🤗

Oh Archana, I am so impressed. I felt that your last few efforts had reached a plateau of sorts, even though you used new tricks, but in essence I found you were just perfecting your old style, not that is a bad thing since you have set the bar in another galaxy. Like an athlete who wins every race, (think, Michael Phelps ) every goal he sets himself is achieved, that you wonder has it become like a 'job' for him. You begin to hope that they find a new avenue of adventure, for adventure even if it leads to misadventures. I just wanted something that inspired you to 'play.'

Archana, in these two vms you have found that beautiful zeal of discovery. I found that 'Archana' perfection and brilliance but more so a new direction. Maybe it was your intention and motivation but whatever the driving factor was, Archana they were both outstanding. Even in your league.😳

Creating a vm for the song Ankhonki would be very nerving if not impossible. To begin with the pace of the song it very slow, the melody that single 'lamha' ambiance, the lyrics very specific and the whole just very iconic of the original. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was able to create the images to illuminate that beautiful hatke nature of the piece. You were very much restricted to mn moments, filmed for entirely different reasons. Archana, in every single aspect, you nailed it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just could not believe it. It is not that I doubted you but I just could not believe you proved wrong my doubts about a vm to this song so utterly and absolutely!

I loved that you used the Dusshehra moments for the opening, as a nod to the original film. The girls walking down the stairs, along to the chime in the song so that 'Nupur's payal' becomes the preamble to the piece. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ That turn of Nupur and entrance of Mayank @ 0:20 & 0:23 respectively just timed perfectly! THat drum roll of the song and drums within the song, is the Archana perfected scene selection and edited timing that I am talking about! 👏

I loved that high pitched melody introduced in the song 0:38, which evokes a mood of anxiety, that something is about to happen, which your so elegantly choreograph Nupur's trepidation as Mayank approaches.⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved, just loved that lingering moment as you stay with the song, as Kumar begins the first utterances of words, so softly, which fitted so well with Mayank 'whispering' into her ear. Then that excellent change scene to fit in with the progression of song which now begins to flow forwards. The timing of the 'blackout @0:54, beautiful! The repeat of the first line, in the echo of their actions, @0:58 then the cut to the similar action but new setting @ 1:07 ALL flowing so elegantly!

I loved, just loved that moment at 1:31, as Nupur peeks around, 'Tumhe dekhke' & that uthi/jhuki Ankhein line and your edited scenes. 👏 I loved how you used that 'slight' laugh expression of Nupur's to match the slight laugh of Kavita @1:54 whilst still using an apt scene which follows the theme of the song. Seriously, you must have ALL MayUr scenes playing on a continual loop in your head, the manner you access perfect scenes so wonderfully well.👏

That playful chase scene that fitted so well with the song's tone. 👏 You could have chosen a few but then you remind me why you are one of the best of your art, with that edit @2:16, where that undulating string comes in the song which you choreograph to MN's pronounced breathing! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Just so beautiful! Then @2:24, that eerie change to the string which you correspond with Mn moving from laughing to awkward feelings.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Then 'chime' and you cut to *blush* @2:26⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The timing @2:33 labhon pe laga loon *blush* just perfect!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️AND 'palkon ki chilman' too as Nupur looks down to Mayank's 'chhupa loon @2:48 THEN as the pace once again quickens, as the lyrics sharpen 'khayaalon ke ye shokhiya maaf ho' and sweeten, you edit again to perfection, @2:53 to 2:59⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Archana, I was holding my breath through it all and yet able to breathe easily enough that my heart hummed so loud the moon could hear me.😳

Again, you orchestrated the line 'har dam' so profoundly, but that 'blink and you will miss it' Madhosh of Mayank's, that subtle change of demeanour, as though the song was playing in his head, @3:13 was just so perfect, I was beside myself in amazement!👏

Oh, Archana, you captured that playful yet poignant tone of the song so well; the slow yet inciting pace of action and the overall theme where two hearts that seem to becoming outwardly entangled are in fact inwardly now entwined forever.

In terms of overall mood and perfected timing and editing, this is your best, although I would say my favourite is still 'thoda badmash.' Archana, proficiently done and a joy to watch!

PART TWO of my reply.

Even though both vms were exceptional, 'jaane yeh' was my favourite, a photo finish, just by a note.😳 I think more for substance rather than form, as Ankhon ke really was a masterpiece of editing and choreographing. 😳

I love the halka sa melody for this 'tremendous moment,' in contrast it granted it more depth and illuminated that 'what is happening' or 'Jaane yeh kya hua' feeling pulsating through Mayank. That timing of the first 'jaane yeh kya hua, coinciding with Mayank's expression @0:19 was perfect.⭐️ So that the second 'Jaane yeh kya hua' changes ever so slightly along with Mayank's expression, from 'what just happened? to the very happy acceptance of what just happened.⭐️@around 0:23. So that the timing flows perfectly and elegantly, so effortlessly a wonderment, for 'hum dono' as he pulls his 'dream' in close so that he may 'feel' it, believe it. 👏

Then that timing for 'har pal anjaana hai' their expressions showing that things have altered irrevocably into a new 'unknown' phase of their relationship.
⭐️

Then my favourite part of the melody of the song, you wonderfully use that 'boyish' charm of Mayank's reminiscence, that silly yet mesmerizing smile that falls into synchronization of the 'playful' nature of the melody! 1:00. ⭐️ That flow continuing for his innocent first flutterings @1:06 ⭐️⭐️⭐️as KK beautifully sings along in the tempo of an erratic heartbeat 'dheere se haule se geet koi dil hai gaa raha.' 😳 That editing for that endearing, 'the happiness of my heart inquisitive' soul seeking search of Mayank's gaze @1:13, for 'ab jaise har lamha har pal hai muskura raha' 😃 Really excellently timed.👏

Then for verse that always makes me cry, for its closeness to my own heart. (yes, I cried again whilst watching your vm😳) This lyric gets me everytime, 'chahun bhi toh kaise paa sakoonga tumhe' so through the waterfall gushing, erupting out my heart, over my eyes, down my cheeks, I was really 'satisfied' with your edited timing! 😳That scene of MN, in terms of Mayank's expressions is one of my favourites. His grace as he moves towards her with solid determination (the contrast of former 'stolid') 'maine pehli baar jo dekha tumhe' that single 't' of doubt filled deliberation, hesitant resistance, removed so that it is as though he is 'seeing' her for the first time.

Then that 'Mujhe ye lagaa' pun on words, as she bumps into him, so that 'laga' in the tangible and intangible forms!⭐️⭐️⭐️ Then my favourite lyric, mentioned above, that circling of his beloved, as we all do, revolving our lives, forms, hearts around them. Not staying where he was too long incase the moment suddenly ends as suddenly as it began. Then that final relent towards his hearts deepest yearning, he gracefully, ever so delicately, along with the flow of the melody, guides her arms, her being, into an embrace. Through all he never once removes his gaze, or even blink for fear that the 'sapna breaks.' Then your edited brilliance continues forth, for 'woh sapna' that dreamlike trance he lets himself 'enjoy' just for a while, that heightened pitch of KK, as he 'inches' closer and closer to that final goal; being nearer to her, forevermore. That excellent editing for the timing of 'mein hoon, tum ho' @2:12. Nupur moving around for 'tum dheere se bolo,' ending eloquently Dekho hona hai aur kya' with Nupur's knowing smile. 👏

I used really love Mayank''s jaage jaage, but this is so much more beautiful, and has replaced the whole episode within my memory too. This is how I want to remember that scene now. thank you honey, for making so much more for me.😳

I loved the echo for the third verse, of their actions, with Khuda jaane scenes.⭐️That moment @3:00 following 'Kahoon kya bhala,' with the timing of 'tumhi ko toh main chahata hoon' and Mayank's 'yen' moment after decades of zen! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

That suno @3:05 as he closes his eyes. Then that amazing choreography for an amazing lyric 'Tumhe jo mila maine jaana main bhi zindaa hoon' Whether you choose to remember the lyric or the words Mayank used in the scene, it comes to the same; allowing yourself to be naked, vulnerable in front of another, to quote another, I have spread my dreams under you feet; tread softly because you tread on my dreams.'
This time that 'suno' reaching the heart of his intended. Just exceptional editing, Nupur tear falling!👏👏👏 Then that smile of Mayank's @3:21 for 'kahon kay mein tumko', for in truth that is what he wanted to say, 'we are both here' emotionally in the same place so together why not just overcome this fear and give 'us' a chance. Then that timing for 'tumpe ek dewana hai' @3:27 as Mayank continues on now that Nupur has accepted his heart too. @3:33 'Hona hai aur kya.😃

Then that 'pun' of sorts, with 'hona hai aur kya. For just as we MayUrians, felt that peak of the confession, comes something even more than we could have imagined, the walk home. Really wonderfully choreographed, and selected. 👏 Hona hai aur kya, both the 'expected destined manifestation of dreams' but also 'better than what you could possibly dream' aspect too. May you seek better than you find, and find better than you seek.

Really beautifully pieced together. I really loved the charm of this one, Archana.

EDIT ^^

OK so I haven't stopped listening to the song since yesterday, even though it isn't even Friday. Yep, still crying. Anyway, I noted something new😃 and most definitely worth mentioning.

To quote myself from ^^
Through all he never once removes his gaze, or even blink for fear that the 'sapna breaks.' Then your edited brilliance continues forth, for 'woh sapna' that dreamlike trance he lets himself 'enjoy' just for a while, that heightened pitch of KK, as he 'inches' closer and closer to that final goal; being nearer to her, forevermore. That excellent editing for the timing of 'mein hoon, tum ho' @2:12. Nupur moving around for 'tum dheere se bolo,' ending eloquently Dekho hona hai aur kya' with Nupur's knowing smile. 👏

From 2:23 until 2:28, the line following his narration of a 'sapna' where he dreams 'tum dheere se bolo, and she says Tumko apna maana hai' as she moves around, you timed so perfectly that DEKHO, @2:23 when Mayank ISN'T looking at her, too afraid the sapna will break.

That slight hesitation of Mayank's @2:24 coinciding with KK's elongation of 'hona hai' just beautifully choreographed.

Then as though Nupur is encouraging him to 'believe' in this sapna, 'dekho na?' so that, so perfectly timed by you, as she finishes, @2:27 he finally looks her way and the lyric/Nupur continues,'AUR KYA?'

Archana, so beautifully timed. Really wonderful. OK, I am off to buy more tissues. Love you. Sabah

Everytime I watch your vm I find a new treasure.

That moment as Mayank circles Nupur, seeking in earnest a path to move towards her, that unique way in to her heart, 'Chahun bhi toh kaise paa sakoonga tumhe.' Such a profound elegance. 😳

A heart break that binds his heart. Beautiful! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
