Okay, I think I've had enough. So, it's time to ask the question: what has Nupur got to do with season 2?
The 'flooding' of Nupur's comeback messages has become irritating. I understand the sentiments of those concerned, but you need to follow the right etiquette at least. When I wish to discuss the current episode on the website, I see repeated messages of some, "BRING RATI BACK," while others swear at her while stating they don't want her back on the show. Consequently, you lose the enthusiasim of wanting to state your view on the current track. Even on this forum, most of the posts are Rati-related. And quite foolishly, most of them are identical. Meaning, you don't need to start a new topic for things that can go in a single thread. To begin with, I don't even see the need of discussing Rati's life here considering that she's not part of the show currently. I seriously don't see the logic behing discussing her Telagu movies on Miley Jab Hum Tum forum. Does flooding everywhere with Rati Pandey's news mean imposing her popularity? If that's what the fans of Rati have intended, then I'm sorry to say it's very 'uncivilized' of you. When it was almost certain that Sanaya is leaving the show, I had queitly decided to quit the show without creating any scene. I might have sent a couple of emails to the creatives pointing out how significant Sanaya's presence was to the show, but I'd ensure to pay the due respect.
I'm still confused about the reason behind Rati's exit. Her fans claim that she was shown the door, because she questioned the show's storyline. On the other hand, I have read articles that say she had become arrogant or wanted to increase her pay. If the second suggestion is true, then I'd rather have the show shut down than see Rati's return simply because I can't stand arrogant people be it on television or on the big screen. I only watch MJHT on television, so I don't know about other shows. My sister told me last night that Armaan had left Dil Mil Gaye, because he was offered a role in bollywood. The creatives insisted that he shouldn't leave, because the entire story is centered around him. But, he paid no heed! As a result, the creatives had to change the entire storyline subsequent to his willful exit. One can imagine the amount of hatred the creatives would have for Armaan; that is, they'd never have him back on the show. But, the fans of Armaan forced him back in the show, which was an entirely wrong decision according to me. As intellectual beings, the fans must be aware before garnering 'mob' support.
Regarding one's attitude towards the creatives, you cant dictate your rules on them - you could only send your requests to them. If I was the creative head and somebody threatened me, I'd purposely do otherwise to prove to him/her that I'm to decide. I'd rather close down my show than pay heed to people's threats.
Finally, the creatives make the actors; it is not the other way around! I remember watching Rati Pandey in a show on Zeetv. Although I liked her in that show as an innocent and loving housewife, she was no where near the popularity she had in MJHT. Similarly, Sanaya looked good on Radha Ki Beetiyan, but I only began to like her as Gunjan. I so agree with Arjun when he said in his interview that the show is bigger than an actor. I'm telling you that this guy has some real brain matter! And, I'd also want to add how important Mayank has been in making the character of Nupur a success. It is a shame that he has become 'non-existent' after Nupur's exit. Arjun is a complete actor in his own right with or without Rati.
My take on this whole issue is that we will discuss Rati as Nupur if she comes back to the show. But, if she doesn't, then please don't force her on the show. As an individual, you could show your diapproval by quitting the show, but don't publicize your mourning because it only disturbs others.
