i dont think so..

in the episode Shukla Sir was shown holding a conference with students observing a one-minute silence...

you dont do that unless someone , a student of the college is dead.

so a death has definitely occurred.

So the reason Samrat might be imagining the two of them is because, gunjan died due to his driving or whatever, and her death has made Nupur into a dead living body.
