MJHT for me is... just like everyone else has said everything.

But I think I would love to define everything. MJHT was a show that started off with a common concept - College Life. But the actors took it and made it into something worthwhile. It is a show which shows sheer brilliance. The old concept turned out to be a completely fresh show.

Everything about MJHT invites you in. The chirpy story, the wonderful and rather natural acting, the million dollar expressions. Like in our everyday experiences sometimes there is a situation in which someone delivers such an expression that you can't define it. Same is the case here. The actors give such marvelous expressions that you are left spellbound. So true and so real. Classic.

MJHT for a refreshing change did not have any negative characters (Ok, some of them were introduced later but amongst them they were negative or rather proud, haughty but not potentially evil) It was mostly positive with the characters dealing with just everyday problems and issues.

It was another delight to see a mother and now mother-in-law on Indian TV that was not manipulative or scheming or the typically possessive "My son is only mine' types. Shilpa Sharma was like a breath of fresh air. She was one cool mom that everyone wanted to have. She gave her child freedom but at the same time enforcing strict rules with love. She was the mom whom you wanted to obey whenever she said something.

What should I say about the leads? They are brilliant actors. Every scene, every frame of utter brilliance. I was really ecstatic to come across such actors who made your TV screen look real.

You would start feeling as if you are actually standing in a college and watching that particular scene going on in front of your eyes.

All the actors and characters were just beyond words.

Nupur-A girl everyone would love to hang out with. She truly possesses a heart of gold. Fun should be her middle name. Maybe not book smart but definitely she is street smart and rules the world with that very quality.

Mayank-The cool bookworm that made every girl swoon. Who believed in doing his own thing no matter what everyone said. Yet he is the perfect guy for any girl, a true gentleman, every girl's dream.

Gunjan- A shy yet sweet girl most people could relate to. Her ultra sweet and loving, helping nature makes her a perfect person.

Samrat- The best friend one could ever have. A true caring and warm person. Beneath his cool and striking exterior lies a beautiful heart.

Benji and Uday- The coolest duo ever. Two people in whose company you could never get bored.

Dia- A girl who was a true diva. And also possessed a good caring heart underneath. And now the goodness is visible to all. I loved it when she turned good.

CJ- The most awesome friend a guy could have.

Shilpa Sharma- The best mom ever.

Annie, Chacko, The professors, Chinu, The Principal. All these were people without whom MJHT would have been incomplete. Even including the negative characters.

Even if I leave out my favorites (Mayank and Nupur) MJHT is a complete package. Everyone contributes to bring on our screens the wonder that we see.

Thus ending my post I think MJHT has become an integral part of my life.

P.S, Whoa this has to be the longest definition of everything. Sorry about that. Please bear with me.

~Daania

Edit: I loved your VM. The song suited it so well.

Hey my friend, Sabah, may God's guidance and love always and always be with you. Amen.😳

I have no idea where to begin from. I just read your beautiful post, there is so much more to each sentence you have said, it got me thinking and thinking.

The answer which you have shared with each one of us has just left me speechless! I am thoroughly impressed, I have always known that you are immensely talented who wholeheartedly shares her thoughts with us. But I hadn't really expected this and honestly speaking I had no idea that an answer can be given by a collection of some amazing moments from the show like this!👏

I will go step by step firstly embarking with the question, What does mjht mean to me? Umm the answer to it is no easy job Sabah, though its no rocket science but neither is it so simple for me I guess. Sabah I am still thinking, meanwhile I would move ahead and come back to this later, as usual my habit of erratic movements continues.😆

I agree when I joined this forum, I never knew that I would meet so many people here with totally different cultures, backgrounds and attitudes. I have always felt so much at home and I am so glad and proud of the way the forum has always so openly accepted everyone with so much love and warmth. 😳

So true the connecting factor amongst all of us is the show, it is one where this whole journey began from. When I joined in I knew no one except that i loved this show and wanted to be able to share my love and happiness with people who would be in same boat.

Your answer which is a beautiful presentation is so beautiful Sabah. Firstly I loved the song you have chosen,"I lost my way without you". This song is in some other language together with English na Sabah. Sabah so is your answer along these lines that mjht has helped you in finding your way or helped in discovering yourself in any way?

"I don't know where my heart is", a part of this song really intrigued me, it happens so many times and with almost all of us, we don't know where our heart is. Is your answer lying along these lines.

Sabah I know I am suppose to answer this question and not try and guess your answer but your presentation was so beautiful that it just got be wondering and I still am. 😳

One random observation, is the character of Mayank really close to your heart, like possibly a little more as you have used his scenes mainly in the end and Mayank indeed in various modes, at times angry, at times in remorse, at times in love I guess. This was no indulgence, this was indeed my best gift for the day and I am sure I would come really often to watch this amazing presentation.👏

Sabah, I would come back with an answer for this question really soon.

Much love always and always,🤗

Senny.

Ahh! yet another lovely thought stirring post by my dear Sabah...

Hmm.....! first and foremost thanks for bringing up this question (and thanks for inspiring me .. )... with the passing of every episode and day ... the question takes a new meaning and the original one.... that is ... 'what actually attracted us to the show?' ..... takes a back seat .... Until we think of that its impossible for me to answer what it 'now' means to me..

So first thing's first.....what attracted me at first to MJHT - my answer is 'Arjun' ...i loved his previous performance a lot and when i heard he is starring in a new show i kept an look for it

second
... the promos before the show started made sure to point out that its no usual saas-bahu melo-drama or yet another reality bug attack...

third
... the fresh youth appeal of the show...it had me gripped since its rare we get any truly youth stuff

fourth
.... characters, all so fresh...different from eachother yet .. impactful.

fifth
.... Rati .... she took me by surprise ...i was amazed by her graceful acting and powerful screen presence

sixth
.... relationship .... mother-son , sisterly bond, friendship .... it was so heartwarming

seventh
... as the story moved forward MayUr ... the two individual so different , yet so same and their journey of knowing, understanding and accepting eachoother i loved every moment of it

well i wanted a to make it a round figure of adding 10 points.... but now i see i'm done saying all with 7 # itself....

guess now its time to total it and arrive to the answer of the question you asked 'what mjht means to me?'
its a form of teaching for me , i like learning and believe if we keep our mind open we get to learn something from every thing/everyone around us ...
i've learnt lot of things from the show ... about small - simple things of life

Sabah I don't know why am I choosing to post..I don't like the show much...yeah I see selective scenes...

I can tell you this much...had I stayed away from this forum ..I would have felt totally different about the show and the characters..... this forum has changed my views to certain extent...

Yes I watched the show only for Nupur and Nupur alone... none other character impressed me as much as she did...and I loved Shilpa Aunty ... yes I am using past tense... two women right in their own way and still are ...

I guess I am tired of Creatives mutilations of my favorite character and more than that this forum's intolerance made me hate the character more than anything else... favoritism and fanticism have taken an ugly turn here to the point neither the serial nor the story mattered any more...

We are caught here between who is right and wrong.. and we can't help but judgmental...

so for me MJHT has been a bitter experience as it made me a resentful and angry person I never wanted to be... and more than that I learnt that I had to pick a side and stick with it here on IF... no cross over allowed... LOL...I am Nupur fan I am not even allowed to comment on Mayank... go figure...

I am sorry I am not one of the people who would express eloquently and flowery way..I say what I feel.. simple straight brutal honesty..

I can understand this is a happy post.. feel free to PM me..I will edit it..

Love
AJ
