Hey just saw an article now & its dated 28th May, So I thought I'd post it...
Zara Nachke Dikha
Saturday– Sunday, 9 pm, Star Plus
Eight guys slug it out with eight girls (a couple of them don't qualify as girls anymore though) in the battle of the sexes in the second season of Zara Nachke Dikha. Interestingly, it also has a few real life couples (both steady and estranged), so you have boys' captain Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh, Kritika Kamra and Karan Kundra and Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi.
The teams, 'Mastkalandar Boys' and 'Massakkali Girls', go through different dance rounds and earn points from judges Shilpa Shetty, Vaibhavi Merchant and Arshad Warsi. There are solo, couple and group dances too with judges throwing a challenge every now and then. Then amidst all this naach gaana there is some 'boys, bachke rehna' and 'girls, zara sambhalna' kind of harmless banter. And some serious ankhon ankhon mein going on across the fence!
Besides some good dancing (Siddhesh Pai, Abhishek, Mukti Mohan are the real groove-masters), there are other highlights like the recent coming together of Rakhi and Abhishek or Rakhi dancing with Sanjeeda burying their Nach Baliye differences. Then, of course, with Rakhi around, not a single episode ends peacefully without her cribbing and complaining (luckily, most of it is legit).
The show is your typical leave-your-brains-behind fare, entertaining (though the title song is very catchy, its repeated bajaoing in the background can grate your nerves) and like any other celebrity reality show complete with the now-we-know-it-all freeze moments! Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal were the earlier hosts and I personally liked them because they were young, peppy and most importantly fresh. As for the judges, Shilpa Shetty looks stunning in her figure hugging numbers and that envious rock on her finger. But she is seriously linguistically challenged. Sample this: "Perception sabka alag alag hota hai...alag alag logon ka perception different hota hai…when I look at your dance my perception will be different from Arshad and Vaibhavi's perception...as I said sabka dekhne ka nazariya alag hota hai... So, you get the drift!
Arshad is unduly harsh on the guys and is a tough nut to please while Vaibhavi goes overboard with her 'Bhappa, dhapaka, rapaak, raapchik' comments.
Verdict
: A time-pass weekend show.
