"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." Albert Einstein
Today's epi I think gave us the best of Nupur, she behaved quite differently from what she really is. She has made me realise the real meaning of the above quote. JDs phone then SMS, all her flashbacks before going for interview, I thought she was in quite a crisis. So much tension on our bubbly Nupur's face is a rare sight. But the way she has converted all minus into plus is commendable. She was on air live. She had nothing pre-planned and had not talked to Mayank even. She was obviously not going to do what the gang initially thought ie.accept defeat. Our Nupur is definitely not that weak or stupid be it from outside or inside. But the fact is that there were still so many options. Being the drama queen I had thought she would shout and blame JD on camera like she did in college. There would be big dialogues. She would tell the world how they have suffered, how the issue is not personal and act like Mayank did in front of excel. Or maybe she would as always surpass our imaginations and slap someone there n then as Sammy did in Police Station. But she succeded in surprising me totally!!! In all of the above cases she could either mobilised popular support or people could turn more against them She didn't find the risk worth taking and I'm with her on this. Popular support could help them in the long run in their battle against eve-teasing but what about Adhiraj?? His issue required immediate action and nups responded as per the demand of the situation. Her dialogues were targeted and focussed. No stories. Getting Adhiraj free was her only aim. In between she did try to seek more by saying "asli gunhegaar ko pakadne mein aap humari madad karenge", and tried to bring Yash into the picture but mainly it was Adhiraj- the situation at hand. And what to say about Rati. She knows Nupur inside-out. The constant change between the trembling voice and then the firm one. The fake fear, the real anxiety, the backfire and then the triumphant smile- the sense of victory but not complete satisfaction as a lot is yet to be done. Rati had every emotion on her face. Expressions, dialouge delivery, body language(esp while drinking water and ignoring mayu's call)-she had it all! Coming back to Nupur, it only requires the spontaneity and decission-making skills of Nupur to react so aptly and quickly in such a stress-filled, crucial situation. I thought Nupur was short-tempered but today she overcame her anger, stayed calm and patient and executed her plan cleverly. She set all her emotions aside and. It takes guts to join hands in front of the person who insulted you in front of all ur colleagues. Her method was different but as they say whatever works. I think the gang should learn from her to be in the system to change the system or else they would end up the RDB way. I am not saying that what they did in RDB was wrong, as sumtimes a strong reaction or sacrifice is required to incite crowds, but in a light show like MJHT I would prefer a more practical and easier solution- I don't think many will like people dying afterall!
Proud to be a Rati n Nupur fan!
