Ok I think I have the whole thing figured out from the precap !! And I think your post is right !! The guy is definitely going to get attracted to Gunjan. I'll explain why I think this !!

First of all the article said that the new guy will make an entry on wednesday episode, that is tomorrow, also it said that his first interaction will be with Gunjan and Nupur, and that they will be teased by this guy, but if you remember tonight's precap, Samrat says that I know you are disturbed by this incident, and Gunjan replies, I'm not worried aout me, i'm worried about Di, what if something happened to her, and what if she hadnt come on time ??

Meaning, this guy sets his sights on Gunjan, when she is walking alone outside college tomorrow, and he corners and teases her, but Nupur arrives and together they manage to get away from him. Now the article also said that Nupur patches up with this guy laters, so at first i thought that this guy might find the fiesty side of Nupur atrracted and thats why he befriends her, but then it also occured to me that the article said this character is like SRK of Darr, and there will be lots of suspence, so I thought, what if like SRK, this guy befriends Nupur, because he knows this is the only way for him to get close to Gunjan, because he has already seen how close Nupur is to Gunjan.
