Hey Divya, a very interesting post!! I kinda keep a little busy with work these days - but still come to the forum to do a quick darshan 2/3 times a day :) - and look what I find :) an absolute gem of a post!!

I didn't get a chance to read all the posts - but a couple that I did read were very insightful and thought provoking!! I wasn't a part of the fourm when the "WAR" happened - but I have come across a few earlier posts which used words like "disgusting" for the MN barn scene and obviously are now "delighted" and "swooning" with the SG scene - no offence to anyone - just my observation!!

The way I think is - of course we all are biased towards our favourite couple and are prepared to give them a looong rope 😉 which is but natural - I am guilty of that too!! So obviously when the MN scene happened - the SGians weren't directly involved and were absolutely appalled at what was being shown - and were being v.righteous and proper while MNians were delighted with the scene - after all their fav couple had just gone a wee bit further in their relationship - it was celebration time - and hence the WAR!! It is true that the way MN scene was - my POV - one couldn't be sure if they went all the way or was it just a precursor to a kiss - even I was a bit confused until I read posts confirming it was supposed to culminate in a kiss - at which point I breathed a sigh of relief!! Personally, I loved the MN scene and I know all Mayurians loved it - that's why it's part of almost every VM that was created after that!!

Now that the SGians have got an intimate scene too - Mayurians are of course calm because they've had theirs and SGians are of course not going to protest about their fav couple's intimacy - hence the "Peaceful" and "Joyful" atmosphere in the forum!!

For me personally, these scenes are a natural next step for a relationship!! As a relationship strengthens and grows - it is but natural to want to have a little more intimacy. The couples being shown are not that young - even if you take their age on screen - they are pretty much either at the absolute end of their teens or in their twenties - adults to many and are assumed to have learnt the adult way of thinking i.e. they are young adults and not teenagers.

However, I think as some have pointed out in the discussion - it is uncomfortable to sit and watch these scenes with the family - which I agree with whole heartedly - but on the flip side if you look at the movies and particularly our songs in the hindi movies, they are way beyond - and they are shown on indian television at home.

I guess I can go on about this topic for long - but gotta run!! Once again a heck of an interesting post!! One thing I do want to add is that I hope we've also grown and matured as a forum since now we are more than a year old - hence the calmness!! 😉

I do wan to add that I didn't mean to hurt any sentiments - but just my personal pov!!
