Technical Editing absolutely Horrible - Page 4

Great post Gagan - and I hope someone pays attention!!

I don't have much understanding of what is required for good editing and technically what should be done - but from a viewer perspective - I hate those what you termed as "fade in fade out" - It just doesn't look real!! Don't really like the way they repeat the phrases for greater impact - these things distract from the scene and the events going on in the story!

For the marriage - as such they showed a blink and miss wedding - and then the Sajan convo - right when the pheras begin (Mayur hadn't even taken the first phera and the convo starts) - wouldn't mind that convo - but still could have been once the wedding was done!! It was like they wanted to show all the parts that make up a wedding - jaimala, pheras, sindoor, mangalsutra - but they were in a rush to get everything done - so it's like they showed a teaser for every part of the wedding - which was very disappointing!!

The only consolation was that at least my fav couple is now hitched for life and maybe the after marriage scenes will rock!! 😃

LOL. MJHT and Editing *sigh*. Well I think they need to hire u as the editor. I love watching the videos that u stitch up and make up for the editors of MJHT. Anyhow, an addict stays an addict... still watching and will be watching. LOL. I have u to depend on Gagan for editing.

Vaise to u said it all but i will still say a lot because i'm really really mad at the mjht editors, cvs and the production house.

As mayank asked Nupur......"kya sach mein hamari shaadi ho rahi hai....." I feel like asking this to cvs and editors...." kya sach mein ye shaadi thi????" of one of their lead couples.....????????????????????

If they just wanted to show a 2 min. maggie noodle recipe which i'm calling it since the time i've seen it......why even get it to this stage.....this whole opera performance of adhi's dad could have been done on adhi-nupur engagement or smt so bauji cud ask nupur to leave the house and they got married in a temple.....it wud have saved them some more money, costumes, editing, and more so "creativity"......atleast in that case we wudn't have expected anythingt.....a simple sweet romantic temple wedding........that's it....

Anyways....coming back to what was shown.......
editing.....i have heard lot of examples of chori.....cement ki chori by contractors.....dhoodh ki chori by dhoodhwalas.....but scenes ki chori by editors is new......they shoot scenes and then they just eat it up......??????? funny thing is I thought editing is done to remove scenes that didn't come out that well or don't fit right.....but editing the scenes which are actually nice and important is something only MJHT editors can do.......don't know what they r saving it for......

oh ya wonder why it only happens with MN......that's when all creativity is lost....all ideas are picked up from 80's 90's movies.....all costume designers go on strike......all dialog writers let their kids do the job.......

Oh well I guess they are quite used to cooking MN in 2 min. They have been doing this for way too long.....guess they've mastered this art......so them showing wedding in 2 min. is really no big deal......with new montage the new caption shud be......"MN - The 2 min. couple"

😆 sorry I tried to edit the wedding video 😆 oh wonder why.....anyways........and banged my head on wall hundred times so had to vent out.....😆

I remember "MN kiss scene in library" , it looked so magical in sbs segment, but the actual scene looked quite mediocre.

I loved your edited version 100 times better.
so definitely , they need to improve their editing dept..

ery gud ponit....their attitude is pathetically casual and ignorant....abt the fade in-fade out....it has been going on forever....when i download sum scenes, i realise while vm-making that there r soooooo much of these effects being used....n its soo irrtitating.....the screen going black again n again.....its d poorest n most convenient form of gaining continuity....totally disrupts d flow.....n as u said making editing unnoticable is d most fundamental yet ultimate goal which is unfortunately being neglected

hey gagan dear nice post i totally agree with you i am pissed off this editing systeam of mjht i mean what the hell is this they ruined all best scenes you know for example they cut off sajan's forhead kiss scene at their date and also their dance part in pehali bar song list is so long but main problem is every time they r doing bloopers with their editing skill now it's time to understand their own mistake i think gagan you should try to give them this message regarding poor editing in mjht
